00:00I'm first going to start it out with Arch Manning.
00:03Arch Manning, a year ago, got out to a real bad start against Ohio State in Columbus.
00:08That just was not a good look.
00:10It wasn't.
00:11He was all over the place.
00:13He was not accurate.
00:15And it really looked bad for him.
00:17He went from being a guy where they were talking about being the number one overall selection in an NFL
00:23draft to being a bust in college.
00:26What did he do?
00:27He went back to college.
00:29He went back to work.
00:32And you know what?
00:33I know it was against a lesser opponent in Texas State.
00:37But still, what you loved was the people that were around him.
00:41It looks like Steve Sarkeesian has put players around him that are going to help him.
00:46That kid Coleman, he looks like A.J. Brown.
00:49The plays that he was making in that football game, I can promise you this.
00:54That Ohio State game, this coming weekend, is going to be one of the marquee games of the year.
01:01You're going to see talent all over the place.
01:04You're going to have every NFL scout at that place in Austin for that football game.
01:09And I think Arch Manning has put himself in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy that his uncle lost to
01:16Charles Woodson back in the day when he was at Tennessee.
01:19Arch Manning's a favorite, one of the favorites, to go and win a national championship.
01:24Four touchdowns, really great passing.
01:27I thought he had great command.
01:29Now, again, it's Texas State.
01:32You got to wait until you see an opportunity where you get a chance to go and play against a
01:37football team that is somebody like Ohio State.
01:41So we'll see what, at the end of the day, he ends up doing as you get into that football
01:47game next weekend or this coming weekend in Austin.
01:50I got to tell you, I liked what Arch Manning looked like, and right now, he's one of the favorites
01:56to go on and win the Heisman Trophy.
01:58I'll give you another one here, and this is going to be a little bit Homer-ish, but Malachi Tony,
02:04what a sensational performance he put on against Stanford.
02:08We have had so many fabulous wide receivers at the University of Miami, Michael Irvin, Andre Johnson, all those great
02:17players like Reggie Wayne, Brian Blades, Eddie Brown, all of them, first-round draft choices, all of them, superstar NFL
02:27football players.
02:28Here's the remarkable thing on Malachi Tony.
02:31He's 18 years old.
02:33This kid a year ago was 17 years old when he burst onto the scene against Notre Dame last year.
02:41He is 18 right now, and he is the frontrunner, along with Arch and also Dorian Mensah, too.
02:50I would make that comment.
02:52Dorian Mensah is also in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy.
02:55It was a great display, but I got to tell you, Malachi Tony is one of the absolute best football
03:03players I have seen at the University of Miami.
03:06Michael Irvin was there at the football game there in Palo Alto, and he was texting me the whole time,
03:11and he's saying, Sills, this kid's just electric.
03:14This kid is maybe the best wideout our program has ever had.
03:20And when you hear people like that talking, believe me, Mike's not throwing it out because he's a Miami kid.
03:26Mike's throwing out that love because the kid is that guy.
03:30And what I love about the fact, too, he's a local kid from South Florida who wanted to stay home.
03:36And when you're starting to get people like that to want to stay home again, Mario Cristobal is doing his
03:42job.
03:43Mario Cristobal is getting the kids from Palmetto, from Columbus, from all the great schools in that area, Edison High,
03:53all those kids down there in that position.
03:56For them to be able to stay home, that's how you recruit South Florida, keeping the local kids home, keeping
04:03the local kids with the opportunity for them to stay there at Miami.
04:08Arch Manning and Malachi Tony really got out to a great start this week one of college football.
