00:00I am going to read everybody the full penalties of this investigation because the NBA officially
00:06came out with the penalties that are going to be enforced on the Clippers.
00:09And it is, I will say this before I read the penalties, this is quite possibly the one
00:17of the worst punishments I've ever seen in NBA history.
00:20I'm being dead serious when I say that.
00:22So Clippers are fined $30 million, not much to Steve Ballmer, not really worried about
00:27the fines.
00:27Anytime they mentioned fined, I was just like, oh well, fine them whatever you want.
00:32So $30 million is still a hefty price though.
00:35The Clippers lose five first round picks, one in each draft from 2029 to 2033.
00:42That 2029 pick is the one that the Pacers sent over in the Evita Zubats trade.
00:48So that pick is gone.
00:49The Pacers don't get it.
00:51The Clippers don't get it.
00:52It's basically like it never even happened.
00:53Steve Ballmer, the owner of the LA Clippers, is suspended for one year from all team and
01:01league activities.
01:02He won't be sitting courtside.
01:03He won't be going nuts on the sidelines during games.
01:07Gillian Zucker, the president of business, suspended without pay for one year.
01:13Lawrence Frank, suspended without pay for six months.
01:16That is the president of basketball operations.
01:18He's the one that makes all the moves and brings all the players in.
01:21Kawhi Leonard was fined $700,000, but, and this is a huge but, not suspended and his contract
01:27was not voided.
01:29Dennis Robertson, Uncle Dennis, banned from NBA business for five years and the Clippers
01:34are basically being placed under probation, five-year league compliance and monitoring program.
01:40John, with all that being said, we finally have the concrete details.
01:45What are your thoughts?
01:47If I remember correctly, and it's funny as I'm thinking about this, because I, I, I thought
01:54that they found that Steve Ballmer did nothing wrong.
01:57Man, listen, you know how you used to watch those old Acme cartoons and they would drop
02:02an anvil and it would just flatten like Wally Coyote or, or the Roadrunner or whoever was
02:09normally Wally Coyote.
02:11This is worse than that.
02:12ESPN was the one that said, well, yeah, okay, you know, you guys can, you know, put out
02:17all you want.
02:18Ramona Shelburne put it out.
02:20I think another guy put it out.
02:21I forgot.
02:22Somebody else put it out.
02:23And it was basically concrete.
02:26It was like, hey, they didn't, they didn't find anything.
02:28So I don't know what happened.
02:30And if I remember correctly, the league flat out denied this report.
02:34Yeah.
02:34And this is why, this is why, because they dropped a nuke.
02:40They dropped a nuke on the Clippers.
02:43Now, if we're being honest, they had to, because you just can't allow this.
02:47You cannot allow cap circumvention.
02:50And if there are other teams that are doing this, buddy, Steve Ballmer finna be dropping
02:54dimes, boy.
02:56Steve Ballmer finna showtime Lakers in, in, in snitching right now.
03:00Okay.
03:00No look over here.
03:01Uh, one for you.
03:03No look over here.
03:04Uh, one for you.
03:05You know how Magic's telling this story when he coming down, he's like, eh, eh, eh.
03:08Like when he was at the Olympics.
03:10That's Steve Ballmer snitching.
03:11Because I'm telling you right now, if I'm Steve Ballmer and I heard of anybody doing anything
03:16close to what I did, buddy, I'm calling, I'm calling Pablo Torek on you.
03:22Because they had to do this, but this is severe.
03:25This is going to kneecap the Clippers for the foreseeable future.
03:31I think this puts so much pressure on the guys that they have now, because there's no
03:36help coming.
03:38You don't have any ammunition to trade.
03:40You don't really have any cap space to sign anyone who wants to come play in LA.
03:45And so this entire ordeal lasted way longer than it needed to.
03:52But the punishment makes the investigation feel like it took this long because of the
03:59level of punishment that they were going to dish out.
04:02And they needed to have all their I's dotted and their T's crossed in case there was going
04:06to be some type of pushback in there has been from the Clippers.
04:09But this is, this is devastating.
04:12This is devastating to the Clipper fan base.
04:14This is devastating to the players who are hoping to compete.
04:18Hey, this is devastating to the Intuit Dome because, well, maybe not because these tickets
04:22price is about to go.
04:24Flowrider, low, low, low, low.
04:26You think they will?
04:26A lot of fans were skeptical about that.
04:29About what?
04:30About the ticket prices going down just because of this investigation.
04:33Fans are like, eh, I don't think so.
04:36So if, if they had...
04:38They should.
04:38I'm not saying that they should.
04:40They should bring down the prices of everything.
04:42Concessions, tickets, merch.
04:45At All-Star break, if they got 10 wins, 12 wins, you paying full price for that?
04:52Absolutely.
04:53And I don't think fans will either.
04:55Right.
04:55So I think at this junction, and now you don't have the head of your organization, you don't
05:01have the second in command, and the person who was in charge of, you know, basically getting
05:06the players, he's not going to be around for six months.
05:08So the head of your operation, left, right, and center, they're gone.
05:14So who's the authority in the building now?
05:18You, if, if, if Ty Lue gets cussed out, who's going to bring the hammer down on that person?
05:24Okay?
05:24If Darius Garland don't want to play because the big toe acting up, who's going to come
05:28down on him?
05:29Nobody.
05:30Who's the authority figure?
05:31All the parents have been put in jail, and they left the kids the house keys, and the
05:35car keys, and the credit card to say, hey man, order all the DoorDash you want, we'll
05:40be back in like a couple years.
05:41Like what, what happens to the organization now?
