00:01:36Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
00:01:41Get up here, Jack
00:01:42Yeah, yeah, yeah
00:01:48Hey, hey, hey
00:01:53Hey, hey, hey, hey
00:01:56Yeah, hey, hey
00:01:59I'll die!
00:02:49Hi, I'm Gary Costanza.
00:02:51It was once said that battle is in the eye of the beholder, and you must become the general
00:02:54of that battle.
00:02:55I hope that the techniques that you get from the tape series will help you reach that goal.
00:02:59Enjoy, and good luck.
00:03:13What I'm going to show you now is the importance of how to move on a firearm.
00:03:17Sean, this is Sean Curran, he's a black belt in the school.
00:03:20What he's going to do, he's going to hold a firearm to my solar plexus level.
00:03:24Now if you can, always remember the important points of disarming a firearm.
00:03:28Which are this.
00:03:29Especially against the gun, what we're going to do is that we must move your center line,
00:03:33which is your vital area, out of the way of the discharge of the bullet.
00:03:38And also remember, the elbow must move as well on the rest of your body.
00:03:42So what you're going to do is this.
00:03:43You're going to move slowly across, move your center line completely out of the way.
00:03:47At the same time, what I'm doing here, very important point, is that I'm going to be striking
00:03:51his radial nerve.
00:03:52Now the radial nerve is located basically on the top of the forearm, the lump area, about
00:03:57a circumference of a quarter.
00:03:58Now as you know in any martial arts, when Sean taps, he's showing a compliance to pain.
00:04:03And what I'm doing here, with the touch of the thumb, about two and a half pounds of pressure,
00:04:07can cause a motor dysfunction inside the hand that's holding the firearm.
00:04:12This radial nerve, when hit extremely hard, or struck, will be that much more effective.
00:04:16So what I'm going to do at this point, is move my center line, striking the radial nerve,
00:04:22pulling strong and as fast as I can on his tricep, to roll Sean into a half controlling
00:04:27technique at this point.
00:04:28What makes this work, is the firearm will be out of his hand by the time he hits the floor.
00:04:34And I'm going to bring him down as fast as I can.
00:04:36And at that time, when he hits, this will be out of his hand.
00:04:39Now the average person, again, who is not used to falling down like this, is hitting
00:04:43the ground at sometimes as fast as 50 miles an hour.
00:04:46And of course, the head will hit.
00:04:49Again, slow motion, now the key point here against the firearm is this, anytime anybody
00:04:53holds a firearm against you, you have a three-quarter second jump on any human being alive, if you
00:04:58move first.
00:04:59So what we're going to do here, once you move, it is a whole body commitment.
00:05:03Your mind, body and spirit must move, because you have to go 100%.
00:05:07So when I move on him, always remember this as well, that the hands never go any higher
00:05:12than here.
00:05:13You always try to bring your hands down, so that you can reach that firearm as fast as
00:05:17you can.
00:05:18When I move on him, again, I hit the radial nerve, affects the grip of the gun.
00:05:24This controls the weapon away from me, turning the barrel away.
00:05:27I put him into a joint lock technique, and I will put him to the floor as fast as I
00:05:31can.
00:05:33And his body will hit extremely hard.
00:05:35The gun at this point, when done fast, will be out of his hand.
00:05:39Now we're back in slow motion again.
00:05:40What I'm going to show you here is the importance of whole body movement, and we're going to
00:05:44be hitting the radial nerve again.
00:05:46Very, very, very important to strike this.
00:05:48What this is, it's going to cause a distraction from his brain thinking he's holding the fire
00:05:53on me, that he's in control.
00:05:54Now I have reversed the role on him.
00:05:56Now I am in control, and that gives you that split second jump.
00:05:59I'm grabbing the tricep again, like I told you before, going to rotate this, inserting
00:06:04my left arm behind, taking him down to the floor as quick as I can, and his head could
00:06:09easily go as fast as that.
00:06:11Now what we're going to do, one more time slowly, I'm going to move the body, hit the
00:06:17radial nerve, roll the tricep into the controlling technique.
00:06:21You notice a very important point.
00:06:22The gun barrel is pointed away from me, I'm going to take him down, as quick as I can,
00:06:29at full speed.
00:06:34Again, put you on this side, at full speed.
00:06:41Do you feel right?
00:06:41Oh, my God!
00:07:26This is our second technique.
00:07:28What Sean's going to do here again, he's going to come up with the difference between this
00:07:31one now, he'll be holding the lapel and holding the gun at solar plex level again.
00:07:35What I'm going to tell you again with this one is very important again.
00:07:38Now again, your hands are no higher than this position.
00:07:41Always try to maintain that.
00:07:42Even if someone says to you, put your hands up.
00:07:44What you're going to do at this point, never raise your hands, but raise on the balls of
00:07:48the feet.
00:07:49This gives the appearance to the assailant that you are raising your hands, but you're
00:07:53really not.
00:07:54So again, if he says, hands up, hands up, you're better off to do this, coming up on the balls
00:07:59of the feet, than to be raising your hands.
00:08:01Okay, now what I'm going to do at this point, again, keeping my hands down, I'm going to
00:08:04body shift quickly, as fast as I can.
00:08:07Again, as I move, the gun barrel will be pointed away from me again, as usual.
00:08:12I will spin my whole body at this point, and if you notice here, a very key move, I have
00:08:18an elbow break at the time I move.
00:08:21His elbow is already broke before he goes around with the compliance to the pain.
00:08:25The faster I go with these, the faster his feet will come up.
00:08:29Okay, again, slow motion on this side.
00:08:35What you're going to see, again, very important point, whole body shift, turning the gun barrel
00:08:41away from me, turning completely around, and at this point, you notice I have the same lock
00:08:49I have before on his elbows.
00:08:52I will increase the speed now at full power, and his feet will go higher according to my
00:08:57speed.
00:09:11Second time at full speed.
00:09:14Move yourself, move yourself!
00:09:17Maybe I will set up the fine floor!
00:10:02We smash this off!
00:10:15This will be a different technique.
00:10:17Sean is going to be holding the firearm at this point with his left hand.
00:10:21Important point to remember that 90% of your population is right-handed.
00:10:25However, we still have to deal with dealing with people holding gun in their left hand.
00:10:29At this point here, again, things to remember, hands no higher than the ears.
00:10:34I'm going to move the center line, again, away from the firearm as I move across.
00:10:41So you can see it better.
00:10:43I'm going to move across my body, again, discharging the bullet away from me.
00:10:49You don't have much time at this point.
00:10:51You must continue the firearm away from your body, moving in at this point for a leg throw.
00:10:58Now, this leg throw can be either done at this level or this level.
00:11:02It does not matter.
00:11:04Again, you'll see from this angle, when the firearm is held at the solar plex level,
00:11:09I'm going to move the firearm past the center line, continue the circle around as I move in for my
00:11:18throw at this point.
00:11:22One fast one.
00:11:23At full speed.
00:11:38From this angle here, you notice again the key points.
00:11:41Hands up, firearm away from my center line, taking the gun around, continuing to a leg throw at this level
00:11:55or this level.
00:11:58Okay, now at this point, I'll show you at a half speed that I can go low or high on
00:12:04this technique on the sweep.
00:12:05I can come here, throw him with a low leg sweep, or I can go higher.
00:12:16Excuse me.
00:12:18Let's get a better angle on this side again.
00:12:20I can go higher, turning the firearm away and higher on the leg.
00:12:26Works both ways.
00:12:28At this point, you drop your center of gravity, lower your hips, you can drive the knee, forcing a rib
00:12:35through the lungs.
00:12:37At full speed.
00:12:38From this side first.
00:12:50At this angle.
00:12:55At this angle.
00:12:56At this angle.
00:12:58At this angle.
00:13:04At this angle.
00:13:05At this angle.
00:13:13At this angle.
00:13:14At this angle.
00:13:15At this angle.
00:13:18At this angle.
00:13:20At this angle.
00:13:21At this angle.
00:13:52at this point here you see a very difficult position
00:13:55the gun is held to the center the back of the head they put my hands up
00:13:59another important point against the firearm anytime anybody is holding a
00:14:02firearm against you
00:14:02you should always talk as much as possible what that does it takes his
00:14:06mind off the trigger
00:14:07use it gives you time to distract him keep his mind
00:14:10on another position so that you can turn quickly
00:14:13remembering that you have a three-quarter second jump that you have to
00:14:16get to this elbow
00:14:17the appendage that is holding this weapon I'm gonna come around
00:14:21as fast as I can at this point trying to get
00:14:25to the appendage
00:14:26the elbow as fast as I can at this point here
00:14:29I'm going to short front kick a femoral nerve here which is going to cause a
00:14:34motor dysfunction in his leg
00:14:35to give him a very bad source of stability with his feet
00:14:39at that after this position
00:14:41after this point here I'm going to take the foot
00:14:43scoop the groin
00:14:45into a figure four takedown
00:14:49figure four takedown
00:14:53like this
00:14:54and his feet
00:14:55again will follow with his compliance to the pain
00:14:59again from slow motion at this angle
00:15:03I'm going to turn
00:15:06strike the appendage that's holding the weapon
00:15:08kick the femoral nerve
00:15:10scoop the groin
00:15:12figure four takedown
00:15:20slow motion at this angle
00:15:21I'm going to spin
00:15:24very important
00:15:25important point here
00:15:27striking the elbow
00:15:28to dislocate or break
00:15:29takes an eighth of an inch to break an elbow
00:15:32this point here
00:15:33causes the distraction technique
00:15:35so I can strike the femoral nerve
00:15:39scoop the groin
00:15:41figure four takedown
00:15:43at full speed
00:15:55this angle
00:15:57the angle
00:15:57the angle
00:16:02Get out of here!
00:16:27Get out of here!
00:16:51Get out of here!
00:16:51Don't do that damn whistle!
00:16:53No!
00:17:05in this position here this is off this is often asked us about our seminars what do you do a
00:17:09man
00:17:09has a Japanese stranglehold across the top of your neck for your arm to the side of the head
00:17:14I'm going to do here again very very important remember the speed and also when you do the
00:17:19speed you must also distract the opponent the same time that you move and also remember the
00:17:23third point you must move that firearm away from your body the first one I'll do slow motion you'll
00:17:29see at this point here I'm smacking the groin with a palm strike I'm moving the firearm away
00:17:40continuing the circle to a joint lock causes severe pain at this point take the firearm
00:17:48away snap kick to his solar plexus striking him with his own weapon throwing away and this other angle
00:18:08again you're held here temple is being held with the gun here at this point what I'm going to do
00:18:14again slowly move this gun barrel away from my head pointing it actually toward him more striking the
00:18:20groin at the same time at this point I continue the gun barrel around to a joint lock technique
00:18:31this allows me to take the firearm away strike to the body strike with the gun push him away and
00:18:42you're in the position of advantage okay one more time in slow motion at this point again I'm going
00:18:48to move the firearm away from my body and strike the groin with a palm strike continuing the gun barrel
00:18:56away from me to a joint lock technique taking the gun away kick strike with his own barrel pushing the
00:19:09opponent away from me setting up for a better position of advantage now the technique at full speed yes so
00:19:19to
00:19:24again full speed at this other angle
00:19:36one more time at this angle full speed yes so to yes
00:19:41so to yes
00:19:41to yes
00:19:41I don't know.
00:20:11No!
00:20:54Okay, this technique here, center of the back, right hand.
00:20:58When you have a firearm in your back, it's always good, again, like I talked before,
00:21:01to talk to your opponent so you can see where that firearm is.
00:21:04Say anything you can.
00:21:06Try to get your eyes on where that firearm is.
00:21:08I'm going to move as quick as I can across the center line into an armbar takedown.
00:21:18At this point, his elbow technically would be broken before he even hits the floor.
00:21:23From this angle.
00:21:27If you notice, I go right for his elbow as fast as I can.
00:21:30Again, talking to him, glancing at the firearm.
00:21:33I move, armbar or elbow break to the ground.
00:21:42At this point here, his head would also smash off the ground, causing severe injury.
00:21:51From slow motion at this point, again.
00:21:55Talk, find out where the weapon is, gun discharge at that angle, bullet goes out, armbar takedown.
00:22:09One more time at this angle.
00:22:11Slow motion.
00:22:13See where the firearm is?
00:22:15Talk if possible.
00:22:16Turn.
00:22:18Go to the elbow.
00:22:22To the elbow as fast as you can.
00:22:25Push and pull.
00:22:26Elbow, joint lock, head to the ground.
00:22:30Full speed.
00:22:45Full speed in this angle.
00:22:47Full speed in this angle.
00:23:04Guzzzzzzz!
00:23:06Guzzzzzzzzzz!
00:23:36In this position here, Sean's holding a gun to the side of my head, I'm seated position.
00:23:40Very quickly again, you must move.
00:23:43I'm going to come move the gun barrel away, striking an uppercut into the groin area.
00:23:50At that point there, keeping the gun barrel away from me, I'm going to take Sean underneath,
00:23:56lifting him over, putting him on this side of me with a fireman throw or kata gruma.
00:24:03Again, slow motion.
00:24:06Again, gun barrel moves away, striking the groin, gives me the pain compliance to reach
00:24:13for the arm and lifting him over.
00:24:17From this angle here, if you can see Sean's, you can see this.
00:24:26This position here, gun barrel moves away, discharges.
00:24:32Groin strike, throw, full speed, full speed on this angle.
00:25:01Oh, yeah!
00:25:02This, this is Sean's!
00:25:30Oh, my God.
00:25:42Oh, my God.
00:26:14Okay, in this position here, I'm kneeling down, gun to the side of my head.
00:26:18What you're going to do again, which is very important, move the firearm away, strike,
00:26:24or scoop the groin so that you can cause a pain compliance.
00:26:28As I'm getting up, that'll disarm the weapon point.
00:26:32As I'm getting up, I push him away from me.
00:26:35Now, sometimes that's not enough.
00:26:36If a man comes back to you to choke or assault me, I'm going to take my arm, punch through
00:26:43his grip, which will lower his head downward.
00:26:48Watch it again.
00:26:49Then, as I punch through, automatically his head comes toward me, bringing his head forward.
00:26:56At that point, I go down, elbow strike.
00:27:02Before he can react to that, I continue the downward motion so I can scoop his legs from the angle
00:27:11of both angles.
00:27:13On his ankles here, I come down, I come through, I strike.
00:27:19I reach for both ankles, pulling him, and his head will smash off the ground.
00:27:28From this angle, how are we going to do this thing?
00:27:32Slow motion here.
00:27:38Gun barrel away, scoop, or strike.
00:27:44Gun barrel is gone, pushing, they're sailing away from me.
00:27:49A lot of times, when they come back, they might be high on drugs.
00:27:52His pain tolerance is very high at this point.
00:27:54I must continue the fight, scooping through, elbow strike, grab the ankles, takedown.
00:28:06Full speed.
00:28:13Put the hours a little bit, laden a little bit.
00:28:27I don't wanna stop until I change that game.
00:28:29I don't want to stop until I go along.
00:28:34I wish I can't Rich, but I can keep running out soon.
00:28:35I don't know.
00:28:35This is a true lesson.
00:28:50I don't know.
00:29:14I don't know.
00:29:46I don't know.
00:30:01In this position here, Sean has a firearm underneath my chin.
00:30:04In this position, very critical position.
00:30:06At this point, I'm going to rotate the body, circle the arm away, break the elbow.
00:30:18There will be a groin smash, and there will be a kick.
00:30:22It will look like this again in slow motion.
00:30:26Groin smash, elbow break, kick.
00:30:36This angle here.
00:30:40Rotate the body.
00:30:41You notice the firearm is pointing away from me.
00:30:43I continue the circle.
00:30:45I strike the groin.
00:30:48I break the elbow.
00:30:51I kick.
00:30:53Full speed.
00:31:01This angle.
00:31:21This angle.
00:31:33I kick in.
00:31:34I hit.
00:31:35This angle.
00:31:35I kick the elbow.
00:31:35I hit.
00:31:36I hit.
00:31:40I hit.
00:31:40I hit.
00:31:46I hit.
00:32:14At this point here, Sean's holding a firearm to my forehead.
00:32:17Again, the interesting points are, again, moving quickly.
00:32:21And what I'm doing here, I'm changing the position of the firearm, again, away from my body.
00:32:25I'm doing a ridge hand into the femoral nerve on the inside of the leg, this area here.
00:32:32This causes a motor dysfunction, enabling me to throw on a wrist takedown, securing the
00:32:39firearm with a pain compliance at the same time.
00:32:45This angle here in slow motion.
00:32:50Again, moving quickly, moving the gun barrel away from my head, striking the femoral nerve.
00:32:58Anytime you strike this nerve, it causes a definite motor dysfunction in the body, enabling me
00:33:05to buy me time, buy yourself a second to go into a wrist throw takedown, pain compliance
00:33:13on his wrist, finishing off with you securing the weapon.
00:33:18Full speed.
00:33:28This angle.
00:33:31Again at full speed at this angle.
00:33:33It's just mừng.
00:34:03Okay, let's go.
00:34:29In this position here, Sean's holding a gun in the center of the back of my head.
00:34:32In the kneeling position again, I'm going to quickly move the firearm away from me, striking Sean's solar plexus.
00:34:41As I stand up, taking the gun barrel, hitting him in the face, disarming the weapon, positioning myself, enabling myself
00:34:51to put him into a bare-naked choke.
00:34:54Before I hit the ground, before he hits the ground, chances are he's gone by then.
00:35:00Six seconds, you lose your air. Twelve seconds, you're dead.
00:35:05Again.
00:35:07You have to remember at this point that a man's holding a deadly force weapon.
00:35:11By law, I can rise to meet this force with equal or beyond this force to save my life.
00:35:17In theory, if I have to, I can take a life to save my life.
00:35:21So now, I must go full force, full power, full speed to defend my life.
00:35:25At this point, turn, gun barrel away, striking the body.
00:35:32As I stand, striking him with his own gun, gun barrel's down.
00:35:39Turning quickly, choke starts at this point, finishing against his larynx, taking him to the floor.
00:35:51Full speed.
00:35:52This angle.
00:35:58Okay, so you can get a good shot.
00:36:04This angle here.
00:36:05Full speed.
00:36:34ividuidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidioidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooidooid
00:36:41I don't know how to do this, but I don't know how to do this, but I don't know how
00:37:03to do this.
00:37:23at this point here
00:37:24sean's holding a gun in the forehead in front of me
00:37:26i'm going to move quickly
00:37:28x-black
00:37:30from the x-black
00:37:32shooto
00:37:32to the neck
00:37:33at this point here i'm striking the brachial plexus origin nerve
00:37:37just a touch of that nerve
00:37:39two pounds of pressure
00:37:39causes a motor dysfunction
00:37:42again from here
00:37:44i move the gun barrel away
00:37:45i strike that nerve
00:37:48i take the gun barrel around
00:37:51turning
00:37:55and throwing them down
00:37:58again slow motion
00:38:01gun goes off
00:38:03strike the brachial plexus origin
00:38:05nerve
00:38:07distracts him enough so i can take the gun barrel away from me
00:38:10again always remember
00:38:11circle the barrel away from you
00:38:14at this point i can always strike
00:38:18and i can throw
00:38:21slow motion again from this angle
00:38:23again watch carefully
00:38:24move the gun barrel
00:38:27striking the brachial plexus origin nerve
00:38:29as you see it go through with the motion of the circle of the gun
00:38:32you watch sean come from this angle now
00:38:34he'll be falling in front
00:38:38paying compliance with the elbow and shoulder
00:38:42into the throw
00:38:43full speed
00:38:54and then
00:39:12to a
00:39:14Two, two, ah, two, ah.
00:39:35Two, two, ah, two, ah.
00:39:37Ah, ah.
00:39:47At this point here, again, Sean's holding the firearm in the front of my forehead, I'm
00:39:51going to X-Black on the outside, strike the appendage that's holding the weapon, turn,
00:40:00elbow strike, getting behind him, displacing center of gravity, throw.
00:40:12Again, X-Black, gun discharges, break or dislocate elbow, continue the circle, elbow strike, solar
00:40:22plexus or sternum, low horse behind, throw.
00:40:28Full speed.
00:40:41Let's try this angle here, full speed at this angle.
00:40:46Get us, we are, son, we are, we are there!
00:41:15Get us, we are, we are there!
00:41:45Get us, we are, we are there!
00:41:59Now this technique here, you notice Sean is holding a gun in his left hand again to the
00:42:03center of my back.
00:42:03Take, I'm going to move across, striking the groin, elbow break, scooping the leg up, down,
00:42:20knee break.
00:42:24From this angle, going to turn quickly, strike the groin, break the elbow.
00:42:35From this position here, I'll scoop his leg up, push and pull, down.
00:42:43At this point here, I move in for a leg break on the knee.
00:42:48Remember, when you're doing the joint locking, this is very, very important, there's no difference
00:42:52between the fingers and the toes, the wrist, the ankle, the elbow, the knee.
00:42:58What I do with a man's fingers, you do against the toes.
00:43:00What you do against the wrist, you do against the ankle, what you do against the elbow, I
00:43:05can do against the knee.
00:43:06Same principle.
00:43:10Full speed.
00:43:24Full speed again at this angle.
00:43:25Well...
00:43:26...
00:43:26cousher, cousher...
00:43:28Give it to the other gentlemen,
00:44:00This is, this is, this is!
00:44:48In this position here, Sean holding a gun to the side of my head from the side angle.
00:44:53What I'm going to do here, I'm going to quickly move, move the firearm away.
00:44:59Timmy Waza technique, striking techniques are very, very important.
00:45:02At this point here, I'm going to come down, scooping the leg, push and pull, turning, knee break.
00:45:16Again, slow motion.
00:45:21From this angle, move the gun away, strike.
00:45:27Push and pull technique.
00:45:28At this point here, the gun will be dislarged at that point.
00:45:31Taking his body, push and pull, turning around, knee break.
00:45:38Full speed.
00:45:43This angle.
00:45:53This angle here.
00:45:57Full speed.
00:46:00Full speed.
00:46:01Full speed.
00:46:02Full speed.
00:46:02Full speed.
00:46:03All this.
00:46:26All this.
00:46:30Oh, yes, yes, yes.
00:47:14At this point here, Sean's holding a gun, solar plex level again, with a lapel grab.
00:47:19Now you notice my hands are not in this position, but they're under the firearm.
00:47:22So I must change my tactics at this point.
00:47:25What I'm going to do, I'm going to still move quickly, bringing my hands on Sean's wrist, throwing him across.
00:47:34As he hits the ground, taking the firearm away, Jagari over him with a firearm.
00:47:47Again, slow motion, hands are down.
00:47:51Quickly moving my force across the center line.
00:47:55At this point here, gun barrel again is discharged away from me.
00:47:59The feet over the top.
00:48:03Paying compliance on the wrist, against the wrist.
00:48:06I Jagari over or jump over, turning the firearm.
00:48:14Full speed.
00:48:27One more time, full speed.
00:48:28Bandingłu.
00:48:32Gee.
00:48:32See her.
00:48:33See her.
00:48:34See her.
00:48:34See her.
00:48:35See her.
00:48:36See her.
00:48:57See her.
00:49:04I don't know.
00:49:41yes
00:49:41this position here
00:49:43sean has been a type of a terrorist at the position
00:49:46don't help to the side of the head
00:49:47could be a type of thing where some is robbing a store taking a a hostage
00:49:52we're going to do at this point
00:49:53you can see i'm going to take my arms down quickly snapping the arms down
00:49:57watch again
00:49:59from here
00:50:00snap the arms down
00:50:02this point
00:50:03my right leg
00:50:05will scoop
00:50:06sean's right leg
00:50:11firearm
00:50:12watch again
00:50:14from here
00:50:16firearm is to the side of the head
00:50:19i'm going to snap the arms down
00:50:21and also cover the weapon
00:50:25again
00:50:26i'm going to snap the arms down
00:50:28you watch the left hand as it covers the weapon so he can't release it from my grip
00:50:33the right arm
00:50:35snaps it to the left hand
00:50:38the right leg at the same time
00:50:40goes behind sean's right leg
00:50:43and scoops sean's leg
00:50:45at the same time the hands come this must be done in one motion as fast as possible slow motion
00:50:51one more time so you can see the action of the hands and the feet
00:50:55full speed
00:50:57full speed
00:51:05and
00:51:06and
00:51:06and
00:51:06and
00:51:06and
00:51:08and
00:51:13and
00:51:20and
00:51:21and
00:51:25and
00:51:27and
00:51:36and
00:51:59Okay, now what we're having at this point here, Sean's holding a gun to my face level
00:52:03in front of me and what I'm going to do here is quickly move the gun barrel away like we've
00:52:07been saying throughout all of our tape, striking the face with a palm heel strike. At this point
00:52:13here, the hand that struck the head to the face will also go behind the head. The left
00:52:18hand plays a very important part here because what it's doing is keeping the gun from coming
00:52:21back to me. So what I'm going to do at this point here, I'll slowly show you, I'm going
00:52:25to lift from underneath the tricep, pulling the head down, which will force the body over.
00:52:31And when I move my body quickly to the outside, my momentum and my weight torque will all the
00:52:36more take his feet up higher. So from here, you're going to strike and move the gun barrel
00:52:42away. The hand that strikes will also go to the back of the head. At that point here, you're
00:52:47going to slowly turn Sean over, you'll see the feet go over to the throw. Again, slow motion.
00:53:00Again, if you can talk as much as you can to get his mind off the trigger hand, if he
00:53:06wants
00:53:06your money, you give it to him. Like we said, if he wants a monetary type of thing, you give
00:53:10it up. If your life is in danger, you move as quick as you can, 100%. Distracting technique
00:53:18by the palm heel strike, right hand goes behind the head. The left hand, as you can see, controls
00:53:24the gun hand. Very important point here, because how it's damaged here is if you don't even get
00:53:29shot by the gun, his elbow strike can come and hit you. Maintain control at all times. With the torque
00:53:35of your body, you're going to take him, throwing him over and down. Full speed.
00:53:56One more time at full speed. At this angle? One more point to remember. Anytime a firearm
00:54:03is left near you on the ground, quickly after taking care of your opponent, get to the firearm.
00:54:10Never, never leave a firearm laying on the ground. Ready? Full power.
00:54:49first, imращible to ask're.
00:54:59All I have to thats back to was the maximum time flown to use of the survival.
00:55:02Kill misses of thoseικό human filledora here.
00:55:02Kill I call!"
00:55:04Kill I call them in trouble.
00:55:06Kill I call them anyway.
00:55:06Kill them! Kill them!
00:55:07Kill them!加油!
00:55:25I hope you enjoyed this tape and you will continue with the rest of the series.
00:55:28Remember, it's always too soon to quit.
00:55:30I want to give special thanks to my assistant Sean Curran and especially Panther Productions
00:55:35for the opportunity of being on with their company.
00:55:39What attracted me most to the martial arts is probably the physical attraction of staying
00:55:44in shape.
00:55:45I always wanted to be into the health type of curriculum and then after I was in it of course
00:55:49then I learned the whole scope of the program.
00:55:52What makes a good student to me is someone who has that drive, the will, to get knocked
00:55:57down seven times and get up eight and that they have to go after their highest potentials
00:56:03and reach it.
00:56:04A good instructor is somebody that I think draws out of the student the student's potential
00:56:09to excel.
00:56:10The training series on Panther Productions have given me an opportunity to take my style to
00:56:15the public so they can take some basic self-defense techniques as well as advance and incorporate
00:56:19it into their martial arts systems.
00:56:21The Zen Sakai Goshen Jutsu system was basically formed when a police officer student of mine
00:56:27asked us to do a defensive tactics seminar for his police department.
00:56:30Upon doing that it took root in that we noticed that men who were looking for in close range type
00:56:37of situations basically dealing with the weapons of the 90s guns, knives, clubs, baseball bats,
00:56:43direct attacks, someone high on drugs and the ability to incapacitate someone was really
00:56:48the conditioning of the program was for that reason.
00:56:52I see the future of the martial arts more than ever going back to basic self-defense so that
00:56:59people now with the crime rate the way it is, right now crime is the number one thing on
00:57:03anybody's mind and there's a crime every two seconds in the United States and I believe
00:57:07that now people, that is their priority.
00:57:09So now they're interested still in the Zen, they're interested still in the dough, the
00:57:13way but they still want to stay traditional which is great but the bottom line now more
00:57:19than ever with sexual assaults against women and children in the United States I think now
00:57:22it's they must have the ability to defend themselves.
00:57:26My future goals is just to continue learning and being a teacher as well as a student.
00:57:31The person most responsible for the creation of my system was a person who encouraged me at
00:57:36the beginning when I was putting it together.
00:57:38Sometimes I questioned whether I was good enough to do it or whether I had enough technique
00:57:41to do it.
00:57:41His name is Jerry Bacillo and Jerry is a very humble man who probably wouldn't want
00:57:45me to mention him but I give credit to where it's due and I give thanks and that's the man.
00:57:51My involvement with law enforcement started about 1987.
00:57:54We started teaching defensive tactics to police officers.
00:57:57It got to the point where it was not only enjoyable but a great need for it.
00:58:02They have a couple weeks in the academy, they're never reviewed again and chances are for
00:58:06a police officer to needing this on an everyday thing especially with liability suits.
00:58:09It became critical and paramount that they knew how to do this in a structure that we're
00:58:13doing it now in Zen and my Zen Sakai system.
00:58:16One of the precepts of Ishma Karate was one of my traditional systems that we're trained
00:58:20in.
00:58:20Unbalance is the same as weight and I believe that you have to have that balance between
00:58:24your family and your career and I believe that the balance that I've done with the physical
00:58:28end of my system is doing well but without the love for my wife and my children I know
00:58:32I could not have gotten to where I have now.
00:58:35My closing words for anybody whether it's martial arts or whether it's life, your marriage,
00:58:39your job, it's always too soon to quit.
00:59:06be steady.
00:59:10Thank you so much.
