00:04The Gospel of St Luke, Chapter 15, Verses 18 and 19
00:12I will arise and go to my Father, and will say to him,
00:18Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee,
00:23and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
00:29Dearly beloved brethren, the Scripture moves us in sundry places
00:34to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness,
00:40but that we should not disassemble nor clothe them
00:45before the face of Almighty God our Heavenly Father,
00:49but confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart.
00:56To the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same
01:00by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:05And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God,
01:11yet ought we chiefly so to do,
01:14when we assemble and meet together,
01:16to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:20to set forth his most worthy praise,
01:24to hear his most holy word,
01:28and to ask those things which are requisite and necessary,
01:32as well for the body as the soul.
01:37Wherefore, I pray and beseech you,
01:39as many as are here present,
01:41to accompany me with a pure heart and humble voice
01:45to the throne of the heavenly grace,
01:49saying after me,
01:53Almighty and most merciful Father,
01:56we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep.
02:02We have followed too much
02:04the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:09We have offended against thy holy laws.
02:14We have left undone those things which we ought to have done,
02:19and we have done those things we ought not to have done,
02:22and there is no health in us.
02:27But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us,
02:30miserable offenders.
02:33Spare thou them, O God, who confess their faults.
02:37Restore thou those who are penitent,
02:40according to thy promises declared unto mankind
02:44in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:47And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake,
02:51that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life.
02:57To the glory of thy holy name.
03:00Amen.
03:04Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
03:08who desireth not the death of a sinner,
03:11but rather that he turn from his wickedness and live,
03:15and has given power and commandment to his ministers
03:19to declare and pronounce to his people,
03:22being penitent,
03:25the absolution and remission of their sins.
03:30He pardoneth and absolveth all
03:32who truly repent
03:34and unfaimly believe his holy gospel.
03:40Wherefore, let us beseech him to grant us true repentance

14:01my land to themselves
14:02for a possession

14:15and tell the mountains,

14:24I have spoken

15:17Then you will know
15:18that I am Yahweh.
15:20Yes,
15:20I will cause men
15:21to walk on you,
15:23even my people Israel.
15:25They will possess you
15:26and you will be
15:28their inheritance
15:29and you will never again
15:31bereave them
15:32of my children.
15:34Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
15:36because they say to you,
15:37you are a devourer
15:38of men
15:39and have been
15:40a bereaver
15:41of your nation.
15:42Therefore you shall
15:43devour men no more
15:45and not bereave
15:46your nation anymore,
15:48says the Lord Yahweh.
15:50I will not let you
15:51hear the shame
15:52of the nations anymore.
15:54You won't bear
15:55the reproach
15:55of the peoples anymore
15:57and you won't cause
15:58your nation
15:59to stumble anymore,
16:01says the Lord Yahweh.
16:06Furthermore,
16:07Yahweh's word
16:08came to me saying,
16:09Son of man,
16:10when the house of Israel
16:11lived in their own land,
16:13they defiled it
16:14by their ways
16:15and by their deeds.
16:16Their way before me
16:18was as the uncleanness
16:19of a woman
16:20in her impurity.
16:22Therefore I poured out
16:24my wrath on them
16:25for the blood
16:25which they had poured out
16:27on the land
16:27and because they had
16:29defiled it
16:30with their idols.
16:31I scattered them
16:33among the nations
16:33and they were dispersed
16:34through the countries.
16:36I judged them
16:37according to their way
16:39and according to their needs.
16:41When they came
16:42to the nations
16:43where they went,
16:44they profaned
16:45my holy name
16:45in that men
16:47said of them,
16:48these are Yahweh's people
16:50and have left
16:51his land.
16:52But I have respect
16:54for my holy name
16:55which the house of Israel
16:56had profaned
16:57among the nations
16:58where they went.
17:00Therefore tell
17:01the house of Israel,
17:02thus says
17:03the Lord Yahweh,
17:05I don't do this
17:06for your sake,
17:07house of Israel,
17:08but for my holy name
17:10which you have profaned
17:12amongst the nations
17:13where you went.
17:14I will sanctify
17:16my great name
17:17which has been profaned
17:19among the nations
17:19which you have profaned
17:21amongst them.
17:23Then the nations
17:24will know
17:25that I am Yahweh,
17:26says the Lord Yahweh,
17:28when I am proven holy
17:30in you
17:31before their eyes.
17:33For I will take you
17:34from among the nations
17:35and gather you
17:37out of all the countries
17:38and will bring you
17:40into your own land.
17:42I will sprinkle
17:43clean water on you
17:44and you will be clean.
17:46I will cleanse you
17:47from all your filthiness
17:49and from all your idols.
17:51I will also give you
17:52a new heart
17:53and I will put
17:54a new spirit within you.
17:57I will take away
17:58the stony heart
17:59out of your flesh
18:00and I will give you
18:01a heart of flesh.
18:03I will put my spirit

18:06to walk in my statutes.
18:08You will keep
18:09my ordinances
