00:00Is that why maybe people don't want to go to Dallas as well?
00:04And I was going to ask this question to you.
00:06As long as Jerry Jones is still running that football team
00:08and Stephen Jones isn't the main person pulling all the strings here with this,
00:14Jerry Jones doesn't win another Super Bowl as the man in charge of the Dallas Cowboys
00:19as long as he's in charge.
00:20Is that a fair statement?
00:22Yeah, because it hasn't happened.
00:24We've had 30-something years, right?
00:26So, you know, yeah, since Jimmy was gone.
00:30So, look, I'm always amused by the story that comes out about every other year.
00:39Every two to three years, you get a big giant story of Stephen Jones
00:43has more influence than ever on the team,
00:46and he's going to really change the direction.
00:49And I've read that story for about 12 years, right?
00:54Nothing changes.
00:56Nothing changes.
00:58It's like in Shawshank Redemption,
01:01where when Dufresne comes back from being in solitary confinement,
01:08he goes, no more doing the books, no more of that,
01:11and the warden goes, nothing changes, right?
01:16Or we're going to burn down your library,
01:19and the engines will all dance around the fire,
01:22like that great line that they have in Shawshank.
01:24Like, that's what the Cowboys are.
01:27The Cowboys are Shawshank Redemption,
01:30where you keep living the same year over and over and over again.
01:33There is no escape.
01:35There's no getting out.
01:36There is a miracle at the end,
01:37because Dufresne outsmarts them.
01:39But that's, like, one of the inmates outsmarting them.
01:42Like, that's Dak Prescott sitting here going,
01:45can I tunnel my way out of here?
01:48You know, George Pickens or C.D. Lamb.
01:50Like, those are the only guys who are ever going to really fix it.
01:52The players are going to do it, because Jerry doesn't know how.
01:55He just doesn't know how to fix it.
01:57Do you think Dak Prescott has to leave Dallas to win a Super Bowl?
02:02No, I just think that Dak is, like, Dak's a league average quarterback,
02:06maybe slightly above average, you know, quarterback.
02:09I know everybody puts up the stats comparing him to Brady
02:12over his first eight or ten years.
02:14Like, come on, get out of here with that.
02:16Like, that's just modern football,
02:18where you've got guys to throw to,
02:20and you're playing, you know, wide open football,
02:22and that's why Dak puts up numbers.
02:24But Dak is always going to be the guy who,
02:26in a critical situation, is going to melt down.
02:28There's going to be a third down during the game
02:30where he's going to throw an interception,
02:31or he's going to miss a guy, and you can't overcome that.
02:35That's just who Dak is.
02:36Now, can you put a roster around Dak that's good enough to say,
02:41look, we're going, this is going to be so great that we can win?
02:44Yes, that is possible.
02:46That's the only way Dak is ever going to win a title.
02:48He's sort of a modern version of Brad Johnson.
