00:00All right, so the Cowboys have signed an old favorite here.

00:03Jadavion Clowney is back again on another team.

00:06There'll be an edge rusher there for Dallas.

00:09Hey, they're one and one.

00:10You know, Clowney's not going to be Micah Parsons,

00:12but third down and six, he's going to run on the field.

00:16That's pretty much the story.

00:18I don't think he's going to be there on first down,

00:19stopping any running backs anytime soon.

00:21But what does he add to the Cowboys?

00:23You know what?

00:24Here's the thing about Clowney.

00:25He was a little bit overrated.

00:26That's the word around the league.

00:27It's a pass rusher.

00:28He was never quite as good as people thought he would be.

00:31Good player, lots of injuries in his career.

00:33Still going strong.

00:34Turns 33 in February.

00:35But, you know, talking with the Panthers,

00:37they caught him earlier this year.

00:39They knew he could still play,

00:40but they really couldn't justify keep paying him

00:42and then not developing a player.

00:44So, you know, they cut bait.

00:46And here's an opportunity for him to revive his career,

00:49maybe push for a playoff spot.

00:51I know it's going to be tough for them,

00:52but that was an incredible game,

00:54an incredible win for the Cowboys.

00:55They had him in last week for a visit.

00:58And Clowney, by the way,

00:59one thing, and I'll add to what you said,

01:02one of the things that clubs liked about him,

01:04when you play your nickel package,

01:05he can move inside at D-tackle.

01:07He's super long.

01:08He's very physical.

01:09Now, when you look at it,

01:10of course, we know about the Parsons trade.

01:12They're mostly very young.

01:14Other than Dante Fowler,

01:15they're very young at edge rush.

01:17You get another veteran in there.

01:19He will play the run.

01:20He still can play.

01:21He's probably got a couple years left in him.

01:23But, you know, it's interesting, Craig.

01:24Had they not won that game,

01:25I'm not saying they would have signed Clowney.

01:27They certainly would have.

01:28But the season would have looked a lot different

01:30if they had been 0-2.

01:32And that game, Craig,

01:33and like the Denver game,

01:35which to me,

01:36I picked Denver to cover that number.

01:38I mean, you can't be serious.

01:39That was one of the strangest innings we've seen.

01:41And quite frankly, Craig,

01:43in a week two where week one,

01:45most of the games went under,

01:47look at how many overs we had in week two.

01:48So, yeah.
