00:00I was thinking about the Dallas Cowboys from this standpoint, right?
00:04So the Cowboys open up against the Philadelphia Eagles, right?
00:07And they lose that game 24-20.
00:09So that's a one-score game.
00:11They lose by four points, right?
00:12Then from there, they beat the Giants in overtime,
00:17but they give up 37 points to the Giants, all right?
00:21After that, the Bears blew them out 31-14.
00:24So that game, put that game to the side.
00:26Then they have the 40-40 tie, all right,
00:29against the Green Bay Packers in Dallas, okay?
00:33They beat the New York Jets all good,
00:35and then they lose by a field goal.
00:36They give up 30 points to the Carolina Panthers, right?
00:39So let's focus on those three games.
00:41They give up 30 in a three-point loss to Carolina.
00:44They tie the Packers, and they give up 40,
00:47and they lose to the Eagles in week one by four.
00:51So that's 0-2-1 in those three games
00:54by a combined total of seven points, okay?
00:57Imagine what the Dallas Cowboys might have done
01:01in those three games.
01:03One was a tie.
01:04One they lost by four.
01:06One they lose by three.
01:09Oh, I don't know if they had a really great defensive player
01:13who could get to the opposing quarterback
01:15better than most guys at his stage of the game.
01:19Yes.
01:20Let's just pretend they had a guy.
01:21Oh, I don't know.
01:22Let's pretend his name.
01:23I'm going to make him a name here.
01:25Let's say they had a guy named Flika Flarsens.
01:30Oh.
01:30Let's just pretend.
01:31That sounds like a football player there.
01:33And by the way, I was in favor of the trade when they made it
01:35because if you demand to be traded, I will trade you.
01:39I got two first-round picks back
01:40and a Pro Bowl defensive lineman
01:42who's unfortunately been hurt thus far this year,
01:45but at least I got something of value back, right?
01:47Okay.
01:47So I'm not going to be a revisionist historian.
01:49I supported the trade when they made it.
01:51Yeah.
01:52Every now and then you got to look at your own decisions in life
01:54and go, maybe I got that one wrong.
01:56Yeah.
01:57In the moment, I think it's okay for me to say,
02:01maybe I got that one wrong
02:03because an argument should be made,
02:05not even could be made,
02:06should be made that Micah Parsons
02:09in at least one of those three games
02:12probably gets you the W.
02:14Well, at least the Packers game.
02:15Is that fair?
02:15Yeah, you played the Packers head-to-head.
02:17Yeah.
02:17So yeah, you can at least get that one.
02:19And again, he only had one sack
02:20very, very late in that game
02:22and he wasn't great in that game.
02:24But yes, he played in that game.
02:25The Packers gave up 40 points,
02:27so I wouldn't be running home telling my mom about it.
02:29Right.
02:30But yes, it was a tie game.
02:32I do think an argument could be made
02:34that if Micah Parsons was on the Dallas Cowboys
02:37and obviously healthy,
02:39and there's been some question about that
02:40with his neck issue,
02:42would they have beaten the Eagles?
02:44Maybe.
02:45Maybe.
02:45Would they have beaten the Packers?
02:46As I say with you, yes.
02:48100%.
02:49They would have held them to 37 points.
02:51That's all you needed.
02:51Not 40.
02:52That's all you needed.
02:52And they would have won that game.
02:53Okay?
02:54Would they have beaten the Panthers?
02:55Again, I'm going to say yes to that.
02:58So I supported the trade when they made it.
03:01And I know we're only six weeks in
03:03to the NFL season.
03:04In the moment,
03:06because that's all we got.
03:08In the moment,
03:09would it be fair for me to say
03:10that the Micah Parsons trade
03:13might have been the worst trade
03:15the Dallas Cowboys have ever made
03:18since Herschel Walker?
03:19Yes.
03:20Is that possible?
03:21Very possible.
03:21Because they're sitting in a spot right now
03:24with a beatable Eagles team
03:26and a 500 Washington team
03:29as the class of the NFC East.
03:31And I'm looking at the Cowboys going,
03:33there ain't nothing wrong with that offense.
03:35Nothing.
03:36And that's without CeeDee Lamb
03:37for half the season thus far.
03:39But that offense is the best offense
03:41statistically in the NFC right now.
03:43I think of all football.
03:44You can fact check me on that.
03:46They scored 40 points.
03:47They scored 30 points.
03:48They scored 37 points.
03:50They score, they score, they score, they score.
03:52If they had Micah Parsons,
03:54the Dallas Cowboys today
03:56would be in first place
03:58all by themselves in the NFC East.
04:02So this is one of those moments
04:03where I think you should be allowed
04:05to go to Jerry Jones
04:06and say six weeks in, any regrets?
04:11Because defensively,
04:13you're one of, if not the worst team
04:16statistically in the NFC.
04:19And I think you're second
04:20only to the Baltimore Ravens
04:22in the entire NFL
04:23when it comes to points allowed.
04:25Yep, they are.
04:26So when you go back six weeks,
04:28if you could do it again,
04:30you'd never trade Micah Parsons.
04:32I know you got two first rounders.
04:34I know you got,
04:35I'm blocking out his name right now,
04:37defensive lineman from Green Bay.
04:38But you would be in first place
04:41and you would be the team to beat.
