00:00Monstaverse fans, Godzilla fans, we have big updates for both Godzilla X-Kong Supernova
00:06and Godzilla Minus Zero.

00:18Yeah, this is a big enough deal for us to combine forces from across an ocean.
00:22Some new early test screenings for Supernova have hinted that the series is going in a
00:26direction we think sounds awesome and has us even more excited for the movie, so you
00:31guys have to hear this.
00:32First though, we really want to say thanks to all of you who have donated to our Titans
00:36Against Blood Cancer charity.
00:38We have a few more days here if you wanted to donate whatever you can, but we really just
00:43wanted to say thank you to all of you who have donated or have sent positive thoughts even
00:48towards this cause.
00:49It's nice to see everyone come together like this.
00:52Before we get into the meat of the Monstaverse update, we now know when the best time to
00:57expect a massive info drop for Godzilla Minus Zero will be.
01:01No, still no word on when a full length trailer will be dropping, so go ahead and let us know
01:06how annoyed you are by the lack of promo material going on right now for both of these movies
01:12actually, yeah.
01:13But don't lose your heads just yet, cause on October 11th at this year's New York Comic
01:18Con, from 12.30 to 1.30pm Eastern American Time, Toho or Godzilla Minus Zero will have
01:25a major panel that's set to reveal new material and tease the movie's release which will be
01:30around a month or so after this event.
01:33We're not sure what's gonna make it online, but at this panel in person, the movie's producer
01:38Kazuki Kishida, visual effects artist Tatsuji Nojima, and sound designer Hisashi Takuchi will
01:44be there to talk about Minus Zero and maybe reveal some new visuals and sounds that we
01:48can get hyped for.
01:49Sorry if I mispronounced any of their names too by the way.
01:53Maybe we're gonna get a clear look at Godzilla's new design, maybe we will get teased with
01:57a sound clip of a new monster's roar, maybe even just concept art or behind the scenes stuff.

02:06All we do know is that for one full hour, Godzilla Minus Zero is going to be hyped up and

02:43Um, gonorrhea.
02:45Well I'd imagine most of the comments are going to say something along the lines of
02:49that the new empire was just fine, but it left you wanting something else.
02:54Well if that's how you are thinking, listen up.
02:56Early test screenings for Supernova just had another wave of viewers and the new reports
03:01are positive.
03:01Not like fake news positive, but like chill, calm, and level headed takes positive.
03:07Stuff that I feel like you can actually trust.
03:10There's not much fluffing going on here.
03:12I don't think it's fake hype.
03:14Just people saying that the movie is a drastic improvement over the latest entry and that
03:18the tone has taken a change for the better.
03:21We both have probably said like 500 times over the last five years how the tone of the
03:26Monstaverse has been drifting away from what we thought made it feel special.
03:31Now I think we both understand that the tone of Godzilla 2014 will probably never truly come
03:37back.
03:37But it should.
03:38In fact we even have a video on the insane hype of that film coming out in just a few
03:42days.
03:43So be sure to subscribe for that.
03:48But reports are stating that Supernova will change its tone from a buddy cop superhero style
03:54movie in the new empire to one that's said to be a blend of Godzilla King of the Monsters
03:59more serious world ending tone with the more in your face focus of the Titans and their stories
04:05that we got from Godzilla vs Kong.
04:07I think the two of us have always thought that King of the Monsters was the epitome of
04:12a classic Godzilla movie made in modern times.
04:15And take out some of the mediocre writing and questionable decision making in that movie
04:20and it actually kinda has a solid tone for the Monstaverse at this point in the story.
04:25That sound about right to you Al?
04:27Gonorrhea.
04:28A little bit of sci-fi elements blended with the military energy to really give that ultimate
04:33kaiju movie aura.
04:35And I feel like Godzilla vs Kong was a great movie it just needed to feel a little more
04:40high stakes and like there were actual consequences to the events happening and it probably would
04:45have done well to keep the lore scenes that were intended to hype up the Scar King instead
04:50of cutting all of that out.
04:51But ultimately while it's impossible to get everyone's take on the tone of the last few
04:56entries into the Monstaverse from what we have seen there is a general plea and fan response
05:01is urging Legendary to make the Monstaverse not feel generic and forgettable and for its
05:06tone to be taken a little bit more serious.
05:09Tone down the fantastical elements make the sci-fi a little bit more plausible and less in
05:14your face and yeah.
05:16And you guys aren't gonna believe it, it sounds like they actually listened.
05:19That's the word we're getting from these early screenings.
05:23We've even heard that the reaction from the test audience was good like the best yet since
05:28the series has turned into a major franchise.
05:30So if this all holds true it sounds like Supernova may have put together one of those stories
05:35that leaves you feeling completely satisfied at the end.
05:38Like your life was just made more complete by watching and honestly that's the best kind
05:43of feeling a movie fan can have.
05:46Listen everyone we know, the Monstaverse is never going to be this super realistic world.
05:51We all know this, but this tone shift really sounds promising for the series and will hopefully
05:56help it get more respect than the new Empire did, which while doing well at the box office
06:01was pretty much mocked for being only dumb fun throughout its theatrical release.
06:06So it may not be completely dumb fun, but after hearing about this tonal shift, this
06:11new synopsis has a lot more impact value and I think we can slowly start to picture this
06:17movie in our minds now.

06:23Yes, we have a brand new synopsis for Godzilla X-Kong Supernova, and this is real, and yes,
06:30I am aroused.
06:31Now this comes oddly enough from a German cinema chain called Kinorama Una.
06:36Now, why does a random German cinema chain have this brand new synopsis before anyone
06:41else?
06:42Honestly, your guess is as good as mine.
06:43But based on what we know about the film, this is accurate and does line up with the
06:48leaks.
06:48So sit down and let me read it to you.
06:50Following the events of Godzilla X-Kong The New Empire, the world is shaken once again.
06:54A deep, rhythmic signal appears in various regions, seemingly emanating from places long-considered
07:00legendary.
07:01As the first clues emerge, Godzilla and Kong find themselves in a perilous situation.
07:06Their powers pull them in different directions, but it soon becomes clear that the signal is
07:11not only awakening titans, but also disrupting a larger order.
07:15While Godzilla follows the clues in nature, and Kong searches for answers in the ruins,
07:20teams of scientists and field researchers attempt to decipher the signal's origins.
07:25Now, thankfully this is more than just, Godzilla and Kong will face off against a cataclysmic
07:29threat that it feels like we've had on repeat for the past 10 years.
07:32This actually provides some new information.
07:35For starters, what are these deep, rhythmic signals that are appearing in various locations?
07:40Well, I have reasons to believe that these are in fact SpaceGodzilla's crystals, that
07:45were planted here long ago.
07:47Similar to how the tripods in War of the Worlds activated when their pilots entered the machines,
07:52these crystals start activating as SpaceGodzilla approaches the planet.
07:57And interestingly enough, we've seen crystals with similar signal-like abilities, as recently
08:03as the new empire, where this shard was used to communicate with the titans.
08:08So it seems like Supernova is bringing this all together in a cohesive way.
08:12Worldbuilding, am I right?
08:13Isn't that such a crazy concept?
08:15In terms of their powers pulling them in different directions, I'm not too sure what they mean
08:20outside of the fact Kong and Godzilla specialize in different things.
08:24Godzilla's more of a force of nature, and attacks first and asks questions later.
08:28While Kong, since he's smarter, actively investigates.
08:32So we could just see them on their own journeys in the film.
08:35In fact, the next paragraph kinda confirms it, when it says Kong searches for answers in
08:40the ruins, while Godzilla follows clues in nature.
08:43By following clues in nature, I can only presume this is by discovering a string of deceased titans,
08:49taken out by this new cosmic terror.
08:52While Kong explores ancient great ape ruins, and possibly finds evidence of SpaceGodzilla's
08:57previous attack, within the ancient cave paintings.
09:01Something Godzilla vs Kong was seemingly trying to do, before it was deleted from the film,
09:06because Legendary, for some reason, doesn't like lore.
09:09Thankfully, this film seems to be bringing that back to focus, and help fill in the gaps
09:13of what exactly this cosmic Godzilla really is, and his history.
09:18I'd also like to point out that the synopsis says the signals are disrupting a larger order,
09:22and awakening titans.
09:24Remember a while ago when I said this film could have another mass awakening?
09:27Well, to me, that sounds like it could be a mass awakening.
09:31We could see dozens of massive titans rising again, to face off against Godzilla and Kong,
09:38being controlled by SpaceGodzilla.
09:41But that's still just a theory, a film theory, no enough of that.
09:44Either way, the synopsis sounds awesome, and I can't wait to learn more about it in 93
09:49years when that trailer drops.
