00:00If we kind of dial this back to the first two and a half to three days of November, Sunday,
00:05Monday, Tuesday, Monday to Tuesday morning, you can see the radar estimates over 24 inches in Palm Bay.
00:11And, you know, that did verify with rain gauge reports over two feet, Malabar, Palm Bay and Burner Beach.
00:18Incredible rainfall. And in Palm Bay, this is a one in a thousand year flood event.
00:23That means statistically you have a one tenth of a percent chance of seeing flooding of that magnitude any given
00:30year in Palm Bay.
00:31Now, I also wanted to mention, separate from the plane crash, the disastrous plane crash, in which nine were killed
00:38in that Learjet in West Palm Beach area back on Sunday,
00:42a helicopter went down into Biscayne Bay that's south of Miami and northeast of the Florida City label.
00:48It's kind of that Bay Lake feature just north of the stem of the Florida Keys around 11, 18 or
00:54so this morning.
00:55And reportedly one was killed and two were injured in that event.
00:59There were spotty thunderstorms and downpours near that area.
01:03So it's been feast or famine with rainfall.
01:06Now, there was a big gap on the rainfall totals maps.
01:10If we were to show this to you two or three days ago across the interior southeast,
01:14that's filled in with the ongoing rain moving east into Atlanta, into western parts of North Carolina.
01:19Still a big gap, though, in the central and eastern Carolinas and into Augusta, Georgia, down near Statesboro as well.
01:25But overall, incredible rainfall into eastern Florida.
01:28And the rain's going to be moving east, ending this long dry spell for more and more of us into
01:33Carolinas and into Virginia tonight and tomorrow.
01:35So we're making progress.
01:36And tomorrow's going to be a warm day right along the coast, but it'll be humid with thunderstorms rolling in
01:42as well.
01:42And scattered storms will be with us from Virginia Beach down to Charleston, Jacksonville, Tampa, and scattered showers into Miami.
01:49Lingering rain showers into Atlanta, Charlotte, and Roanoke, but farther west, a beautiful, gorgeous day.
01:54That'll be a nice thing for us here after this round of recent rain.
01:57We need the rain, though, into the eastern part of the region where we've been so dry.
02:01And here we are tonight, 11 p.m., moving forward into tomorrow.
02:05The Thursday and the Friday rounds of showers do not look impressive.
02:10They're going to be out there, spotty showers.
02:12Friday's a little more impressive than Thursday.
02:14New disturbance energizes this from Charlotte to Elizabeth City in Raleigh on Friday.
02:19But, again, it's going to be scattered on Thursday, ramping up a bit Friday.
02:23Then we're back to dry weather for a while here across the southeast.
02:26There are the thunderstorms on Friday.
02:28Saturday, lots of yellow.
02:29We look good there for college football.
