00:13I didn't necessarily know what to think either, Dan.
00:16But after watching that first preseason game the other night, I was really impressed.
00:21I didn't realize he was so darn big, like 6'4 and 230 or something like that.
00:27He doesn't look like that.
00:28But, you know, that allows him – he's a little bit mobile.
00:32And with that size, you don't expect him to get too banged up.
00:36We know he's a pocket passer.
00:37But I love the fact that he has that size and a little bit of mobility.

00:43You know, there was one throw.
00:44I want to say it was about 12 yards downfield where he totally threaded the needle.
00:49It was a professional football pass.
00:51It was excellent.
00:53Cousins look fantastic.
00:54And I'm rooting as a guy that wants the Raiders to succeed and have it be good for Las Vegas
01:01and our community and the fans and what have you.
01:04And this project that we've taken on here with an NFL team, I want it to succeed.
01:09I want Kirk Cousins to basically play the entire year.
01:13You know, maybe he goes 14 games, whatever it is.
01:16But let's groom Mendoza.
01:19Let's let him hold that clipboard and give him a little action here and there in garbage time.
01:24And, you know, do the Aaron Rodgers routine or whoever it is that was able to have the luxury of
01:31learning under a great for a year or two before they became, you know, before they took over.
01:37That just doesn't happen all that often in the NFL anymore.
01:40And I'm hoping it works out for the Raiders.
01:42Cousins, I thought, looked great.
01:44Mendoza, I thought, looked great.
01:45The defense, you didn't have a lot of starters play that much in that game.
01:49And they were pretty much eaten up.
01:51The Cardinals offense looks pretty good, by the way.
01:53Jeremiah Love, no joke.
01:56But one thing that I really saw in those first couple of series for Cousins and Mendoza, they looked sharp.
02:03Like you said, control of the offense.
02:06It was really refreshing for me, Dan, to see that the Raiders looked organized.
02:11It looked like they had a plan.
02:13They had a commitment.
02:15It looks like maybe the culture is finally shifting in that locker room.
02:20And they've been working on it for a few years.
02:22And now you're getting the talent not only on the field, but I think on the sidelines as well with
02:27Kubiak and Mike McCoy and some people in the front office.
02:31Maybe the worm is finally starting to turn.
02:34And gosh, I hope it is because it would be fantastic for, you know, the entertainment capital of the world.
02:40Why not have a great football team in the Las Vegas Raiders as well?
02:44Oh, no doubt.
02:45I think the other addition to the Raiders was Tyler Lindebaum being put in there, too, because you saw the
02:50offensive line.
02:51Maybe Ashton Gentry takes off because he had a couple good runs in there.
02:55You get a good running game going.
02:57That's going to help Mendoza and it's going to help Kirk Cousins.
