00:13Christian Parker has to rally the troops on that side of the football
00:17if that team is really going to make a play for the NFC East.
00:20What did you take away from them winning that game and getting back to 500?
00:25Yeah, I thought they showed good resilience against the Texans.
00:28They had a lot go against them.
00:29I mean, Brandon Aubrey missed a couple of long field goals
00:32that he would normally make.
00:33One was blocked.
00:35And late in the game, the Cowboys had to rally, had to have that drive,
00:38and Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb managed to make it happen.
00:41So I think that they can look at that and say,
00:43hey, that's a good opportunity for us to build on this.
00:46Defensively, yeah, they have to step it up.
00:49I think the acquisition of Joey Porter Jr. is going to help them
00:52because their cornerback room was just really not fully getting the job done,
00:55and they had some injuries in there as well.
00:57So I'm looking forward to seeing Porter kind of get ingratiated in there,
01:02see if that changes how that defense is able to operate.
01:05But certainly until that defense can play at even an average level,
01:08the Cowboys are going to be a little bit hamstrung.
01:10It's sort of similar to the Lions where they may have to win these high-scoring games,
01:14and they're capable of doing it.
01:16But if they don't have the perfect offensive game, you know,
01:19they're more likely to fall a little bit short of their end goal of winning.
01:23You know, Jacob, I got more out of the Raiders losing
01:29than the Chiefs winning that football game
01:32because I wanted to see who the Raiders were.
01:34Man, I got to tell you, Clint Kubiak and John Spytak and those guys
01:40are starting to put some talent on that football team.
01:43And look, Kansas City, I know where Kansas City's going.
01:46They're going to be a contender for the AFC championship.
01:49But, man, I'm buying the Raiders now, or you?
01:53I'm buying them, too.
01:54I love what Clint Kubiak is doing.
01:56I love the fact that their offense is built around a top-tier running back,
02:00and Ashton Gentey won the best one-two punches at tight end
02:03with Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer.
02:05And Kirk Cousins, he's an efficient distributor, older quarterback.
02:08He's the perfect guy to guide them until Mendoza is ready.
02:11So I'm buying them, too.
02:12They're going to be very competitive this year.
