00:00When I was about 11, that was when I started to dabble with
00:03I had my first like serious boyfriend when I was 13. He was 23. We were together for almost two
00:12years and he got me heavily addicted. Everything just went away. It all just went numb. And then
00:18I went to a homecoming party at a friend's house and I was that night by someone who was about
00:2621.
00:26So I was 16 when I met my ex-husband. He was 38. He gave me a place to live.
00:33Once I was in his home,
00:35it was when he started to make the moves on me and manipulate me into thinking that we needed to
00:40be together. And then I got pregnant with my oldest son. He had told me to cut off contact with
00:45friends
00:45and all these things. And he had framed it as like, Oh, I don't think they're good people for you
00:49to be
00:49around. Physical started after we were officially married, but before that mental had already been
00:56going on for many years. After my son was born, I was had severe postpartum depression. And then
01:02when my son was six and eight months old, I started going for hikes because he would give me such
01:08a hard
01:08time about spending money. So I was like, we're going to get out and go hiking. And there was these
01:11two girls who also had their babies and I ended up talking to them. And those two girls became really,
01:17really good friends of mine during this time. And they started to kind of open my eyes to what I
01:22was
01:22experiencing was. Then I remember watching my son and then thinking, I know you don't deserve this.
