00:00A guy named Bobby started hanging out with my parents and he would hang out in the house a lot.
00:04They were business partners, but I didn't understand why they were or how they were
00:08business partners until one day Bobby came to our house with a huge trash bag and slaps it on the
00:14chair by my father's work desk. And I go, dad, what's that? And that's when I got introduced
00:20to a gigantic bag. I remember one point asking my father about the sugar because I started to
00:27see more white powder in the house. More Friday parties started happening. And then there's
00:32parties started surrounding. At that same party, there's a very well-dressed man who is not doing
00:38and I didn't really think much of it until New Year's Eve 1978. I'm eight years old and I get
00:44invited to go out with my parents to dinner for the very first time on New Year's Eve. Jimmy turns
00:48to me and says, David, you've been at the parties, you've seen the parties and you've seen the
00:54being done, right? He goes, do you ever talk to your friends about it? And he says,
00:58just do me a favor. If you do talk about it with anybody, just call it soda.
