00:00:02Dramas for Daryl De Lille, so it is not going to be converting pole into the race leader, the race

00:00:07The lights go out, we go racing, and who makes the best of the start?

00:00:11It is going to be Camish, Robottom squeezes him up the kerb, and Chilton keeps on coming, he forces the

00:00:16door open.

00:00:17Team-mate Morgan tries to get inside, has contact with Robottom.

00:00:21It is round 28 of the championship, and it's win number three of the season for Dan Camish.

00:00:26Dan Camish wins race one of the day.

00:00:31Lights out, away we go, and a good getaway is made by Charles Rayford in the BMW, and Tom Chilton

00:00:37is away nicely as well,

00:00:38round the outside of Camish, and they go towards Panic.

00:00:41Ingram has a big dive on the inside of Rayford.

00:00:43Ingram goes through, up the inside goes Ingram, Chilton's happy to let him go.

00:00:48Big moment, and that is Rayford off the road, and it's the barriers.

00:00:51That's Chilton, who's got a problem up at Druids, and that's going to give Ash Sutton second place for the

00:00:56second time.

00:00:57The Quick Fit British Touring Car Championship is won by Tom Ingram.

00:01:04Well, once again, congratulations.

00:01:06A special moment for Tom Ingram and the Virtue team, but we go racing for one final time.

00:01:13In not the too distant future, one, two, three is pretty much wrapped up, but there is still so much

00:01:19to play for, Jade.

00:01:20I mean, if we look at what's going on with Charles Rayford at the moment and Daryl De Leon with

00:01:25the Jack Sears Trophy.

00:01:26I mean, Charles Rayford, he's starting right down at the back in P22.

00:01:31So he's going to have a lot of work to do, isn't he?

00:01:33Yeah, that is a complete emotional rollercoaster for both those two drivers today.

00:01:37Daryl obviously started on pole, then had those issues.

00:01:40He probably thought it was game over.

00:01:41Then he sees Charles DNF race two.

00:01:44And yeah, those two are probably going to sleep very well tonight, regardless of what happens.

00:01:48But it looks unlikely that Charles will be able to do it.

00:01:51He needs a bit of a miracle here.

00:01:52He needs to finish, I think, in front of Daryl and also have a car in between them in terms

00:01:56of Jack Sears as well.

00:01:57So it looks to be tough. But as we've seen with Charles, he never, ever lets anything get him down.

00:02:03He'll be eyes forward. The car's good underneath him. He's been quick all day.

00:02:06So it'll just be intriguing to see how far forward he can go, let alone Jack Sears Trophy in mind

00:02:11as well.

00:02:11And then we've also got the independents as well.

00:02:14So we've still got this battle on, which we've been loving watching over the course of the season,

00:02:20particularly in the final few rounds between Dan Lloyd, Mikey Dable and Chris Smiley.

00:02:25Yeah, that's been raging on.

00:02:26We thought it'd be maybe wrapped up a little bit early on, but it's coming down to the final race.

00:02:30And this is what I love. I've done a couple of these race three, final race of the season.

00:02:35It is absolute manic mayhem.

00:02:38To have championships going on within that as well, it's going to be hectic for all drivers.

00:02:42And I guarantee those drivers that need to wrap up a championship are going to have eyes on stalks,

00:02:47eyes everywhere, looking in their mirrors, trying to move forward.

00:02:49It's going to be, yeah, one hell of a race.

00:02:51Well, should we take a look at how the grid is going to line up?

00:02:54Because it's a great opportunity, isn't it, with the reverse grid race.

00:02:58It's the fact that Aidan Moffat has been picked.

00:03:00He's got this great opportunity to be on pole position alongside Josh Cook,

00:03:05which, again, makes amends for Josh starting towards the very back in the first race of the day.

00:03:10Then Jake Hill in his final race.

00:03:12Yes, unbelievable. His final race will be starting from P3.

00:03:15I mean, looking at that list there in the top 10, who are you going to keep your eye on?

00:03:18If I'm honest, Aidan and Josh are very good friends off track.

00:03:22They were teammates previously.

00:03:24They've had a little chat before this race.

00:03:26I would keep that top three in terms of, you know, having Jake on the podium for his final ever

00:03:31race,

00:03:31to have Aidan and Josh up there when they've both had tricky seasons.

00:03:34For me, that's a brilliant podium to end the season.

00:03:36However, we know that it's probably not going to go that way to plan.

00:03:39We've also got Ash Sutton on a set of soft tyres.

00:03:42He's now got the release of not, you know, not winning this championship.

00:03:45So he now can just race completely for himself and enjoy it.

00:03:48And don't ever rule off Tom Ingram.

00:03:50You know, he's on a medium.

00:03:51He wants to go out on a high, doesn't he?

00:03:53He'll go back to just being able to drive for the fun of it, for the enjoyment of it.

00:03:57And, yeah, enjoy this final race of the year as a champion.

00:04:01Brilliant, brilliant stuff.

00:04:02Well, let's go down to Louise now, who is with Alan Gao.

00:04:05Thank you, Nicky.

00:04:06Yeah, perfect opportunity whilst we wait for the drivers to make their way out onto the grid for our final

00:04:11race.

00:04:11To grab a quick word with the boss.

00:04:13Just to get your thoughts on, well, let's first of all talk about Tom and his championship win.

00:04:19I mean, he's absolutely smashed it, hasn't he?

00:04:21Yeah, look, such a deserving champion.

00:04:22And that team deserved it too.

00:04:24That car's been on it all year.

00:04:26And, you know, they were the team to beat right from the word go.

00:04:29So, you know, well done, Tom.

00:04:31Really good champion.

00:04:32And he joins a long list of double world champions.

00:04:36How would you, well, champion, it's our world, isn't it?

00:04:38Let's face it.

00:04:39How would you sum up the season overall?

00:04:41Is this going to go down as a classic season, do you think?

00:04:44I think it's one of the classics.

00:04:45But I think this race shows you how close the season is.

00:04:48You've got, there's only been two titles decided, as you know, only the teams and the drivers.

00:04:53Everything else is to play for in this race.

00:04:55And this will be fascinating.

00:04:56And what a great end of the season with all those championships and the Jack Sears trophy being so close.

00:05:02Who's your money on?

00:05:04No one.

00:05:04I couldn't even pretend to even guess on that one.

00:05:07OK, all right.

00:05:09The cars are just making their way out.

00:05:11So have a little bit more of a chat and then we'll have the drivers in just a few minutes.

00:05:15Lovely stuff.

00:05:15Thank you to Alan and also to all of his hard and hard graft and efforts over the course of

00:05:21this season.

00:05:22Because it has been a truly incredible one to watch from the sidelines, that's for sure.

00:05:27Jade, let's talk about the team's championship at the moment.

00:05:30Because it's just four points at the moment between Napa and Virtue.

00:05:33So there is still a lot to play for.

00:05:35There's still an opportunity for Ash Sutton to take home some trophies.

00:05:38Exactly that.

00:05:39And, you know, we sometimes, we don't forget the team's trophy.

00:05:42But obviously, we're so much focused on the drivers' championship that we kind of forget that there's other battles going

00:05:47on.

00:05:48And this is where, you know, the team Virtue cars are very, very strong.

00:05:51But there's also four very strong cars with Napa.

00:05:54Now, obviously, only the first two cars of each team will score points towards the manufacturers and they have to

00:05:58be nominated.

00:05:58But this is now where all of the team cars are going to work together.

00:06:03And instead of it being Ash against Tom, it's the Napa against Virtue.

00:06:07And that's the battle that we're going to see on track as well.

00:06:09Because they'll be on the radios throughout the race going like, what do I need to find?

00:06:12What can I contribute?

00:06:14Where is everyone else trying to figure out that tiny little points difference so that they can all stand on

00:06:18this podium later today with the fireworks and give back to the team that obviously give them so much throughout

00:06:23the season?

00:06:23Exactly. I mean, I'm sure Tom Ingram is thinking, wouldn't it be lovely?

00:06:27This would be, you know, the icing on the cake to have to give a team's champion back to the

00:06:32team.

00:06:32But on the other side, you've got Napa Racing with Ash going, hang on a minute, there's still a prize.

00:06:38I've got my eyes on it and I want to take it with me.

00:06:40Exactly. Ash will be thinking, well, you've got one.

00:06:42You're not going to have the other as well.

00:06:44I know that Pete Osborne, who owns Napa Racing, he is very, very competitive.

00:06:49And he wants that team win for the good of the boys and girls that work behind the scenes.

00:06:54But equally, you know, you've got Virtue as well.

00:06:57They want to wrap up everything.

00:06:59They want to go home with the full charade as such.

00:07:02But it's going to be an interesting race.

00:07:03I'm looking forward to this one.

00:07:04And I think it's even tighter in the Manufacturers Trophy as well.

00:07:07One point in it. Remarkable.

00:07:08This is what Torrey Giles is all about.

00:07:10Somehow, we just spoke to the main man himself there.

00:07:13He somehow manages to create this real big excitement and tension towards the end of the year.

00:07:17It always comes down to the final race, final weekend of the year.

00:07:21And that's what we love about this championship.

00:07:22But that's what, you know, a huge, huge credit to the way the rules work as well.

00:07:25You know, to having that reverse grid at this point, you know, to make it just a little bit fairer.

00:07:30So not, it's not just two front runner drivers that, you know, run away with the championship too early on.

00:07:35Exactly that.

00:07:36And that's credit to the regulations and the way this championship is run.

00:07:39If it wasn't run as well as it did, we wouldn't have year on, year out, it coming down to

00:07:44the final wire.

00:07:45And it does. Every single time, we're all stood here, the crowds are out, you know, and we're all excited

00:07:49for this final race.

00:07:50I know that the driver's championship's wrapped up, but everything else is to play for, which is going to fuel

00:07:55this race to be a super exciting one.

00:07:57And it's like end of school as well.

00:07:59So all of these drivers, who are all naughty like we always are, are now going to let loose and

00:08:03race elbow to elbow and enjoy it.

00:08:06Yeah, really, they've got nothing to lose at this point in the season.

00:08:11And also, I guess it's a point where a lot of these drivers need to showcase to the world, to

00:08:16other teams, to other manufacturers, to other sponsors, what they can do to secure themselves a drive for next year.

00:08:23Exactly that.

00:08:23This is the last race that they can show that actually by sponsoring them or investing in them is worthwhile.

00:08:29I want to keep an eye out for Jake Hill, last race of his career in British Touring Cars.

00:08:35I know Jake for a long time.

00:08:36This was the peak for him for a lot of his upbringing.

00:08:39And he's going to want to go out with a win.

00:08:41He's on softs, he's rear wheel drive, and he'll bring back Feisty Jake.

00:08:44He's just coming past us now, getting ready for the grid.

00:08:47But he's a name that I think is going to be out and out, wanting to win this final race

00:08:52of his British Touring Car era of his career.

00:08:55Yeah, we will be keeping a very close eye on what Jake Hill gets up to in his final race.

00:09:01Let's go down to Louise for a final grid walk.

00:09:04Thank you, Nicky.

00:09:05And as you say, the final grid of the 2025 season.

00:09:08You've been talking about the titles that are still up for grabs and obviously the manufacturers and the teams, two

00:09:14very important ones amongst those.

00:09:15And look where I am here on the grid.

00:09:17So we've got two drivers in each of those teams that are scoring points.

00:09:20They are all lined up here together.

00:09:22We've got Tom Ingram and Senna Proctor in positions nine and seven scoring points.

00:09:28And then obviously we've got Ash Sutton in P whatever he is, seven.

00:09:34And Dan Camish here at the front of that little squad of four drivers in P5 on the grid.

00:09:42And Dan, I was just talking about the fact that you guys and the guys we accelerate here are up

00:09:47against for the teams and manufacturers.

00:09:49You're all together.

00:09:50This is looking quite tasty, this grid, isn't it?

00:09:53I think that is the word for it, isn't it?

00:09:54It does look quite tasty, isn't it?

00:09:56It's, yeah, touring cars is a funny way of putting you right where you, you know, the most excitement possibly

00:10:03can be.

00:10:03So, yeah, it's going to be one to watch, isn't it?

00:10:05I mean, ultimately, I've had a good day.

00:10:07I've had a win.

00:10:07I've secured third overall, which is what I came here to do.

00:10:10But the teams and manufacturers has been on the back of my mind all season long.

00:10:13You know, it's a team game.

00:10:16And, you know, I think it's been very close.

00:10:20Nip and tuck all season long.

00:10:22So, is there much at stake?

00:10:24Just pride.

00:10:25Absolute pride.

00:10:26So, and bragging rights going into next year.

00:10:29So, yeah, me and Ashley are going to give it everything right now.

00:10:31I'm sure those two are.

00:10:33I think it's Proctor and Ingram this weekend.

00:10:35So, yeah, let's see what we can do.

00:10:37It's going to be a bit of a race at the front.

00:10:38And then there's going to be a race behind, which, again, is just going to be purely over a bit

00:10:43of pride in teams and manufacturers.

00:10:44Well, as you say, it is a team game.

00:10:46And whilst there's always inevitably so much focus on the driver's championship, for the boys and the girls in the

00:10:51garage, this is the one or these are the ones that really matter, aren't they?

00:10:54Yeah, I think so.

00:10:55You know, the driver's obviously is the one everybody wants.

00:10:57But ultimately, that's one car crew.

00:11:00As much as the team plays a part, you know, I think the teams of manufacturers is more spread across.

00:11:05You know, everyone feels like they've played a bit of a part.

00:11:08Obviously, two drivers scoring, not one.

00:11:11Yeah, I think the team get as much enjoyment out of that one.

00:11:14And certainly, you know, the teams and the manufacturers means a lot to the guys at Alliance Racing and the

00:11:20guys at Napa as well.

00:11:21So let's see if we can bring it home.

00:11:24That's what we're out here to do.

00:11:25That's good.

00:11:26Right.

00:11:26So that's the teams and the manufacturers.

00:11:28Over to Paul now, talking to the independent drivers.

00:11:32Yeah, it's all to play for, isn't it?

00:11:33Dan Lloyd.

00:11:35Dan, this is the next 30 minutes are big for you, mate.

00:11:40Yeah.

00:11:41Yeah, they are.

00:11:42Obviously, a bit of nerves, but good nerves.

00:11:45I've been trying to do my own thing all day.

00:11:48You know, race one was mega.

00:11:50Couldn't have asked for a better start than that.

00:11:52And I think race two just reminds you anything can happen.

00:11:56You know, getting a heavy hit on lap one and a ton of damage.

00:12:00I had 20 mil a toe out on my rear right.

00:12:02And that was the most difficult race of my life to hold on to that.

00:12:06So I was actually glad to bring it home where I did.

00:12:09And we got a bit of a lead into this.

00:12:12And it's just going to be keeping out of trouble, which you know as well as I do.

00:12:17It's easier said than done at the last race of a touring car season.

00:12:21Yeah, I've just been speaking to your mum and dad.

00:12:23And I've just had to tell them, stop looking so glum.

00:12:25We're all here.

00:12:26We're all here for a good time.

00:12:27But it just means so much, doesn't it?

00:12:28And the family are involved as well.

00:12:30It's been a difficult year, mate.

00:12:32But if you could do this, this would be amazing.

00:12:34Yeah, I mean, that's probably my dad's normal face, to be fair.

00:12:37But not my mum's.

00:12:39Yeah, you know, I think everyone's feeling it.

00:12:41It's been a tough year.

00:12:42Big roller coaster.

00:12:43But it's some incredible highs.

00:12:45I think the team have done a mega job to give us a strong enough car

00:12:49where we can go out and win outright at Silverstone.

00:12:52And the fact that I won the team independence and got a shout at winning today,

00:12:57all credit to them, credit to the guys.

00:12:59And just fingers crossed, I can bring it home.

00:13:02What about Chris Smiley?

00:13:03He's still involved, isn't he?

00:13:04He is, yeah.

00:13:05You know, everyone's involved at the minute.

00:13:07You know, depending on how it works out.

00:13:10You know, if I do win, it'd be fantastic if he could get second.

00:13:14You know, my keys, it's very close between them two.

00:13:16So, at the minute, I've just got to keep focused on my own stuff.

00:13:21So, yeah, it should be exciting.

00:13:22Is the radio button going to be the most used thing ever?

00:13:29The important bit is not to talk to David Addison on the warm-up.

00:14:17It may not be my day-to-day, but at least we've thrown everything at it and it's going to

00:14:20be exciting.

00:14:22It'll be pretty cool, mate, if you can do this after the year you had last year as well.

00:14:26You'll have a lot of silverware kicking about.

00:14:28Yeah, I mean, to be truthful, I need a bit of lady luck on my side in this one.

00:14:32I mean, I don't think I can do it just on raw pace and a race win,

00:14:36but really I need to win independence and hope Dan Lloyd has a bit of bad luck.

00:14:48I'll try and deal with him the way I've dealt with other people in race two.

00:15:19Actually, I'm going to start with a quick one with his dad, Simon,

00:15:21because this is a hugely emotional moment for you as well, isn't it?

00:15:24We've been in this paddock for 30-odd years.

00:15:26He grew up in it.

00:15:27And we did it.

00:15:29We won it last year.

00:15:29And we're going to finish on a high, hopefully.

00:15:31And thank you, Lou, and everyone at ITV for being so supportive.

00:15:35Listen, it's been our pleasure.

00:15:37Mark Blundell, the man who actually helped Jake to get onto this grid,

00:16:11OK, two guys ahead also with the soft tyres on.

00:16:12But I mean, you're just going to throw caution to the wind here, aren't you?

00:16:16You know, I mean, I'm in the perfect place to try and do something special for our last race.

00:16:20I said I wanted to get a podium at the very least at some point.

00:16:23So that has to be the number one aim.

00:16:26But I'm going for the win.

00:16:27And also make sure that you have fun whilst you're at it as well.

00:16:31Because it is something to soak in, isn't it?

00:16:34It is, for sure.

00:16:35You know, I mean, it's a truly special championship filled with special people.

00:16:41And it's something that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

00:17:20So for one final time, this is round 30 of the QuickFit British Touring Car Championship.

00:17:26Let's go to our commentators, Tim Harvey and David Allison.

00:17:30Nicky, thanks.

00:17:31For the last time this season, then, we have a grid and we have still some titles to be resolved.

00:17:37We know that race three is always a dramatic race, whichever event it's at.

00:17:41But on finals day, it always takes on a completely different feel.

00:17:43Yeah, there's all sorts of little private agendas and hopes and wishes and that adage about the last races, the

00:17:51race everybody remembers, is so true.

00:17:53It's the one you want to live off over the winter.

00:17:55So you want to try and make it a good one.

00:17:57This is true.

00:17:58Green flag waves that everybody sets off on the final formation lap.

00:18:02Of course, we know already who is the overall champion.

00:18:05The other driver's title that is up for grabs is within the independence.

00:18:08So we'll be focusing, no doubt, on the Dan Lloyd, Mikey Doble, Chris Smiley situation.

00:18:12We've got the Jets' trophy to be decided.

00:18:14And, of course, there's a race in isolation, which has got Aidan Moffat on pole position as the cars then

00:18:18turn their way down through Paddock Hill Bend.

00:18:22There is Chris Smiley, who comes into this, in a sense, as the outsider.

00:18:27Let's check in with Chris before we go racing.

00:18:29Chris, you've got a bit of work to do in this, but you're going to give it your best shot,

00:18:32I'm sure, yeah?

00:18:33Yeah, for sure.

00:18:34You know, we've had work to do.

00:18:35We've had work to do all weekend, to be honest.

00:18:38The second half of the season, you know, the luck gods haven't been with us, unfortunately.

00:18:42But that's racing.

00:18:43I just need to focus on the best job I can do here myself.

00:18:47And, yeah, try and move as far forward as I can.

00:18:53And, yeah, obviously, with the independent, you know, race in between the big race.

00:18:59You've had some ifs and buts over the course of the season, but it's been a great year for the

00:19:02team as a whole, and just how far it's progressed in the last 12 months, indeed, since restart racing was

00:19:07formed.

00:19:08Yeah, as you said, it's been a great, you know, it's been a great year for the team.

00:19:12You know, without Peter Jones and all the guys that work so hard back at the workshop, Ben on the

00:19:18car side, you know, it's a great, great achievement in the team's second year in the championship.

00:19:23And, yeah, you know, obviously, we're going to be back next year.

00:19:25And, yeah, back fighting.

00:19:27Chris, come back.

00:19:29So, Chris Smiley then accelerates onto the Grand Prix loop.

00:19:32We'll leave him to get the tyres up to temperature.

00:19:34As I say, he's third in that independent competition.

00:19:36Dan Lloyd, his teammate, is the leader within that.

00:19:39But there's going to be an awful lot to keep tabs on in this.

00:19:42Let's look at the grid, then, for the final race of the season.

00:19:45Aidan Moffat on pole position and Josh Cook with him at the front.

00:19:48They've got full boost and they're on soft tyres.

00:19:50Jake Hill is on the soft tyres as well.

00:19:52He's got seven laps of boost.

00:20:54So we're set for a humdinger there.

00:20:56England's got the championship settled.

00:20:59And although he's on the medium tyre and not much boost,

00:21:01I'm sure he'll be charging.

00:21:03And of course, who can rule out Sutton?

00:21:05Eighth on the grid.

00:21:06But soft tyres and plenty of boost.

00:21:08And of course, he won the third race.

00:21:10Well, two laps of boost, I guess.

00:21:12But he won the third race here last year in Feinstein.

00:21:15He ran away with it.

00:21:17So don't count him out.

00:21:19And you'd never rule out Josh Cook, do you?

00:21:22And he's got full boost of eight laps worth on the front of the grid.

00:21:24Jake Hill, though, he's got to be the man to beat.

00:21:26Jake has got, should be the favourite.

00:21:29But we're not making any predictions for this last race, David, are we?

00:22:02But for Motorsport Vision, the circuit owners, there's been a good crowd here

00:22:07and some good racing all weekend for them to enjoy.

00:22:09Aidan Moffat will start the last round of the championship then from pole petition.

00:22:13Charles Rainford, his teammate, last on the grid.

00:22:17Field are back then.

00:22:18Everybody looks towards the lighting gantry for one last time.

00:22:21Let's go racing in the QuickFit British Touring Car Championship.

00:22:24Moffat launches away.

00:22:25So does Jake Hill up the inside of Josh Cook to go second on the run towards Paddock Hill Bend.

00:22:30For the first time, Moffat will lead the way.

00:22:32Hill second, Cook third.

00:22:33And then the Napa Racing Fords strategically all ahead of the Team Virtue Hyundai's bar one.

00:22:40And that is that Sam Osborne needs to try to get up through the ranks.

00:22:43But you've got three Fords ahead of all the Hyundai's as they round Druids for the first time.

00:22:47Predictably, good rear wheel starts from both the BMWs.

00:22:50Moffat from pole and Jake Hill from third up to second.

00:22:54Out of Graham Hill Bend they come along Cooper's great.

00:22:57Dan Lloyd's view, of course, thinking independent championship.

00:23:01But up the inside goes Aaron Taylor-Smith.

00:23:02Charles Rainford has gone by as well as they break for 30.

00:23:05He's turning to that left-hander.

00:23:06Lloyd trying to keep out of trouble but not let too many people go by.

00:23:12No, he's got a really big thing, have his thinking head on all the way through this race.

00:23:18So we need to be looking for the Chris Smiley Hyundai.

00:23:21Through it goes as well as Dan Lloyd's car.

00:23:23Dexter Patterson is ahead of Mikey Doble.

00:23:25That's bad news for Doble.

00:23:26Good news for Lloyd.

00:23:26Taking points away from Doble.

00:23:28And Chris Smiley's had a good day in the independents as wide at Westfield.

00:23:32Josh Cook tries to fight back as the cars now make the run again up towards Sheen Curve.

00:23:36So it is Moffat in the lead and Jake Hill with a bit of a cue behind him.

00:23:40Yeah, despite of being on the soft tyres, it's a little bit cooler now.

00:23:44Remember the BMW just taking that little bit longer to get the tyres up to temperature.

00:23:50A jump start potentially or a start investigation for Aidan Moffat, our leader.

00:23:55Up towards the line comes now Josh Cook looking for a way past Jake Hill.

00:23:59Moffat then trying to get away.

00:24:00Will no doubt get a replay at the start to look at what he did or didn't do.

00:24:03But in towards Paddock Hill Bend for second place.

00:24:06Hill ahead of Cook.

00:24:07And then it's Ash Sutton in fourth.

00:24:08Walloping the kerb trying to go through the outside line now.

00:24:11Up the inside goes Josh Cook late on the break.

00:24:13Sutton dives to the inside as well.

00:24:15He's up the inside of Hill.

00:24:16Cook goes second.

00:24:17Sutton for third potentially as they come down towards Graham Hill Bend.

00:24:21Ash Sutton may have lost the championship earlier on in the day.

00:24:24But he's not given up the fight in any sense, has he?

00:24:26He wants another race win.

00:24:27And he's almost alongside Hill.

00:24:29That BMW is going backwards, not forwards as we expected.

00:24:33Yeah, he's been absolutely mugged.

00:24:34Although he's trying to go around the outside here.

00:24:36But that might just open the door for Rowbottom and Camish.

00:24:39But that was a great pass by Josh Cook.

00:24:42He absolutely tied that one beautifully on the cutback through Paddock.

00:24:47A little bit of kerb on the inside to get the overlap early.

00:24:50Hill resist the pressure there from Rowbottom, at least for Hawthorne's anyway.

00:24:55But yeah, Sutton on a charge.

00:24:56As ever he is.

00:24:59And then there's Gordon Shedden.

00:25:01Where is Tom Ingram at the end of the opening lap?

00:25:05As the cars again climb through Dingledal up towards Sheen Curve.

00:25:11Closing on former teammate Aidan Moffat.

00:25:13Give Josh the tools for the job and he will deliver.

00:25:15Yeah, absolutely.

00:25:17Incredibly, we've said it before, but to Josh without a win so far this year.

00:25:20He'd love to sign off in style with a win here.

00:25:23I was watching the start out the window.

00:25:25We have a great view of the start.

00:25:26And certainly Aidan Moffat was not outside of his pit box.

00:25:29So the only infringement I can think of would have been to have...

00:25:33Look, there he's in the pit box.

00:25:34Does he move?

00:25:35I couldn't see anything wrong with that at all.

00:25:38No, couldn't see anything wrong with the start.

00:25:41Well, we'll wait for the investigation to continue as Moffat leads Cook,

00:25:44who's done the fastest lap of the race.

00:25:46He was four tenths between them when they came across the stripe last time.

00:25:48Big effort being made there.

00:25:50Look, because up the inside goes Sam Osborne.

00:25:52He goes ahead of Adam Morgan,

00:25:53which is significant for teams and manufacturers, remember.

00:25:56Napa forward versus Team Virtue Hyundai.

00:25:59Morgan fights back, gets his elbows out.

00:26:01And Sam Osborne runs wide over the curving

00:26:04and trying to attack the Toyota back.

00:26:05Sam Osborne's got the soft tyre on,

00:26:07so he's got the right tyre on for this race.

00:26:10As Nick Halstead, who is also having his last race here,

00:26:15And he rejoins with two and a half thousand names on the car

00:26:41It's been a tough season for Toyota Gazoo Racing.

00:27:12Chris Smiley would be up to second.

00:27:14In the expense of Mikey Doberman,

00:27:15contact between Kamish and Rowbottom.

00:27:17Kamish spins, he's going to just about avoid the gravel,

00:27:20but he's got broken suspension,

00:27:21and that's Kamish out of the race,

00:27:23out of the fight for third in the championship.

00:27:26Contact between him and his teammates

00:27:27as Josh Cook now gets up the inside of Aidan Moffitt

00:27:29for the race lead.

00:27:31Cook is going to go by, great move.

00:27:32Through he goes, Moffitt gave him racing room

00:27:34as Josh Cook takes the lead.

00:27:36But Rowbottom and Kamish coming together,

00:27:38that's going to go down badly.

00:27:39That is an absolute disaster for the team,

00:27:42and really, it should never have happened,

00:27:44because Kamish was one of the cars,

00:27:46safety car is out,

00:27:48but one of the cars that was due to score points,

00:27:51so that is a real disaster.

00:27:53So, Alliance Racing, Ford still leading the manufacturers

00:27:57in the teams.

00:27:58Napa Racing was ahead by one point at Team Virtue

00:28:01at the last passing of the line,

00:28:02but that's going to change potentially

00:28:04with Kamish out of the race.

00:28:05So we go safety car with Kamish's broken four,

00:28:08all that but Druid,

00:28:09and it would be fascinating to be a fly on the wall

00:28:12in the Napa Racing debrief, wouldn't it, after that?

00:28:14Well, yeah, that's going to, well,

00:28:16there's nothing worse.

00:28:17It would be about as popular as a gherkin

00:28:19in a hamburger, I should say.

00:28:22That must be bad if you won't eat it.

00:28:29Anyway, back to the broken suspension of Kamish.

00:28:59It just looks like he slams the door closed, doesn't it?

00:29:05that Kamish had made that move,

00:29:07but you can hear the groan

00:29:11I mean, he should have been

00:29:11because he went into Paddock defending

00:29:13and he would have known he was defending from Kamish,

00:29:16so he should have had the awareness

00:29:18to know that he was there.

00:29:21But, well, not the way Dan Kamish wanted to finish,

00:29:25that's for sure.

00:29:26So he goes and joins his fans

00:29:28and explains exactly what he thinks happened,

00:29:31but Dan even forces a smile.

00:29:33The irony of that, he's not lost,

00:29:34and all the people to make contact with

00:29:36is his teammate.

01:05:04adapted to that car

01:05:05really well and he

01:05:06has learned so much

01:05:08and the expertise and

01:05:09the knowledge of

01:05:10West Surrey Racing

01:05:11and everything that

01:05:12they've achieved and

01:05:13Colin Turkington in the

01:05:15team as well earlier

01:05:16helping out he

01:05:17delivered from the

01:05:17first race of the

01:05:18year didn't he at

01:05:19the first meeting

01:05:20here at Brands and

01:05:21he's carried on that

01:05:22form and I think the

01:05:23trophy's actually taller

01:05:24than he is it's a huge

01:05:25trophy but it's well

01:05:27deserved it is and

01:05:28just in it's such an

01:05:29exciting moment for him

01:05:30really kind of at the

01:05:31start of this British

01:05:32touring car career

01:05:33yeah I mean I firstly

01:05:34will say that Darrell you

01:05:35were waffling on but

01:05:36if ever you were going

01:05:37to waffle it'd be in

01:05:38this moment now but he

01:05:39is honestly one of the

01:05:40nicest guys on the

01:05:42grid he just gets his

01:05:42head down you don't see

01:05:44him sort of getting

01:05:45distracted by much he's

01:05:46obviously had the best

01:05:47opportunity this year

01:05:48with WSR and he's

01:05:49really really taken it

01:05:50all on board and just

01:05:51learnt as much as

01:05:52possible and to see him

01:05:53today be rolled off of

01:05:55that P1 position

01:05:56knowing what happened

01:05:56at Silverstone when he

01:05:57had a similar thing

01:05:58happen you know it's

01:05:59so good to be able to

01:06:00now see him smiling and

01:06:02relieved and happy that

01:06:03he's a Jack Sears

01:06:04champion and like he

01:06:05said the first one that

01:06:06WSR's ever had so yeah

01:06:08he's created history for

01:06:09that team as well today

01:06:10yeah exactly and also

01:06:11he's massively matured

01:06:13I mean the learnings

01:06:13that you take from a

01:06:15season like this

01:06:15particularly the maturity

01:06:17that he showed in the

01:06:18very final race you

01:06:19know he had Charles

01:06:20Ravenford breathing down

01:06:21his neck but he didn't

01:06:23sort of crack under the

01:06:24pressure yeah listen as

01:06:25soon as he went to WSR

01:06:27BMW in the winter I knew

01:06:30that he was going to be

01:06:31a superstar he's been

01:06:33exceptional and what I

01:06:34will say is we will

01:06:35probably look back at

01:06:36that interview in years

01:06:37to come and he will

01:06:38probably I think be a

01:06:39champion of the British

01:06:40Touring Car Championship

01:07:48started from scratch with

01:07:52championship so what

01:07:54comes next I mean back

01:07:59I don't I didn't know

01:08:00whether this was going

01:08:01to be my last season

01:08:02completely and since

01:08:04winning at Silverstone

01:08:05and getting this there's

01:08:07still there's still

01:08:08chance so a lot of hard

01:08:09work to do in the next

01:08:10few months and I'd really

01:08:12love to come back and

01:08:13work with this team again

01:08:14and continue the momentum

01:10:12Dexter Patterson as the

01:10:13winning independent but

01:10:14Josh Cook raises the

01:10:16winner's trophy and now the

01:10:18national anthem of the

01:10:19winning driver is played

01:10:51It is Josh Cook's day as far as the final race of the year is concerned because he's on the

01:10:57top step after about 18 months and Josh Cook celebrates with Ash Satom, with Jake Hill, last year's champion, Dexter

01:11:05Patterson, the independent winner, Sam Osborne, the Jack Sears Trophy race winner.

01:11:10And Josh reminds himself how you deal with all of this champagne. Let's see who's going to be in the

01:11:15firing line. It looks as though he and Ash have both worked out a plan here. And the champagne is

01:11:19sprayed. Some of it over Jake Hill. And Josh gets his own back now on Ash Sutton.

01:11:25And it's been a really tough season for Josh, of course, on the sidelines for a meeting or two with

01:11:29the demise of one motorsport from this year's championship.

01:11:31And we hope that Steve Dubman is in good health and he's going to come back with his team next

01:11:35year. Josh then being brought in as a driver coach for Max Buxton and then taking over James Dawlin's seat

01:11:40and rounding out the year with a win for the team that he drove for last year, Speedworks Motorsport.

01:11:46The winning drivers then from the last race of the championship season make their way off the podium.

01:11:51And the next thing to come, of course, will be the champions' presentation.

01:11:56And there is Tom Ingram ready to be called forward.

01:12:00Alan Hyde is the British Touring Car Championships circuit commentator.

01:12:04And it's his voice you'll hear in a moment to bring forward the drivers.

01:12:08For the 2025 QuickFit British Touring Car Championship, to make those presentations, would you please welcome the chief executive of

01:12:25And, of course, the first award that he will hand out is this historic trophy, the champions' trophy.

01:12:33The 2025 QuickFit British Touring Car Champion is Tom Ingram.

01:12:46A huge cheer and a huge smile for Tom Ingram, who first came into this paddock as a Ginetta Junior

01:12:53racer.

01:12:53He made his British Touring Car Championship debut in 2014.

01:12:58And it is going to be Jake Hill as last year's champion, who is going to hand over the trophy

01:13:03from one champion to another.

01:13:05They've raced together since Ginetta Junior days.

01:13:07They've raced together in touring cars.

01:13:09Tom Ingram is now a double champion.

01:13:12He has now taken 39 race wins in total.

01:13:17Six victories were the aim this year.

01:13:21He's battered that with seven.

01:13:22He's the Goodyear Wingfoot Award winner.

01:13:25And the 2022 champion is now the 2025 champion.

01:13:28His father, Bruce, applauds.

01:13:30It's been a tough season for the Ingram family.

01:13:32But it rounds out with Tom Ingram as British Touring Car Champion.

01:14:10And he is holding a rather beautiful trophy.

01:14:14Once it gets to go in there again, congratulations, Tom.

01:14:19The support that I've had coming into this weekend has been nothing short of incredible, honestly.

01:14:24From the messages from Monday through from Instagram and all the social media, even emails, posts, the carrier pigeon was

01:14:31busy.

01:14:32It's been, honestly, it's been absolutely amazing to witness and to be part of it has been, honestly, just superb.

01:14:39How does it compare to your win in 2022?

01:14:42It feels better, if I'm honest.

01:14:44It feels because after a couple of years of missing out on, you know, we won it in 2022, we

01:14:49came back in 2023 and us had that incredibly dominant year.

01:14:53So it's really difficult to try and bounce back.

01:14:56So to have overturned the advantage that Napa had in 2023 and then to go again in 2024 and then

01:15:03only expand on that in 2025.

01:15:04We've seen over the years that a beaten car and a beaten teams and drivers tend to come back faster

01:15:09and hungrier than they had before.

01:15:11We were testing two weeks after the last round of last season.

01:15:14We left absolutely nothing unturned.

01:15:15So it's been emotionally everything we've got.

01:15:18It's physically everything we've got.

01:15:19It's probably more than we could ever afford to do as well.

01:15:22But we've had an absolutely fantastic time.

01:15:24And honestly, I've had the biggest smile on my face all of this year.

01:15:27I've just had such a fantastic time that you're with your mates as well.

01:15:31And that's the lovely thing.

01:15:32Tom, you know, it was clear the work started very early for this year and it'll start again tomorrow for

01:15:38next year.

01:15:39I know.

01:15:40But the release of emotion on your face in the car, you hold it all in, don't you, during the

01:15:46year?

01:15:47You hold it all in.

01:15:47You try and give off the image of cool, calm and collected.

01:15:51But I know what it's like to get it across the line.

01:15:55And that was very clear to see and special this year.

01:15:58I've tried to work on my poker face, but maybe it's not quite as good as I thought it was.

01:16:02Yeah, this weekend's been really tough.

01:16:04Obviously, emotionally, it's been a tough one.

01:16:08But it's been really difficult.

01:16:09It's the first time I've come into this final round of the season in the lead.

01:16:12So it's been a lot of pressure on me from that side because everyone's sort of going, oh, don't mess

01:16:16it up.

01:16:16So it's almost that classic thing of rather than being the other way and being the sort of the hunter,

01:16:21you're the hunted.

01:16:22So every single time you look at it and go, can't make a mistake here.

01:16:25If you lock up into paddock on a qualifying lap, it's all over.

01:16:28So there's so much pressure.

01:16:29There really, really is.

01:16:31But honestly, it's just the amount of hard work.

01:16:35And I really, really can't stress how much has gone into it.

01:16:38We have left nothing on the table.

01:16:40So it's going to take us a little while to get over this, I think.

01:16:43I know Jade and Paul just want to say well done as well.

01:16:45Yeah, I just want to ask.

01:16:46You obviously, you've won it previously.

01:16:48You say that you've worked really hard as a team to put everything into it.

01:16:51Have you had to look into yourself to make sure you're doing the best you physically can as well?

01:16:55Yeah, exactly.

01:16:56That, as we all know here, this championship's so tough.

01:16:59And I think sometimes we all look at the, we all think as drivers, we're great, don't we?

01:17:03It's always the car's fault.

01:17:04It's always an excuse.

01:17:05So I've left, you know, I've made sure I'm everything, I've got everything ticked off from a driver's perspective as

01:17:09well.

01:17:10Matt, who's my data engineer, Spencer, the whole car crew have worked so hard to make sure that side of

01:17:15things is right.

01:17:16But the work that goes in from the driver's side of it as well, you know, we all look at

01:17:21it as to say, what can we find as a driver?

01:17:22I remember back to Alton Park, Matt and I, my data engineer, Matt and I, we were going through, we

01:17:27were trying to break 30 centimetres later.

01:17:29We're trying to go into such minute details to try and find every little advantage we can.

01:17:33And it's just worked, you know, it's very, very rare as a driver, I think we can all relate, you

01:17:39have these, like, lifetime moments that it's very rare that you ever get the car working at the same time

01:17:45as the engine, the chassis, the team, the drivers working.

01:17:49Everything comes together. It feels like a, really feels like a once in a lifetime moment where literally everything has

01:17:56clicked and everything has just worked at the same time.

01:17:59Such a phenomenal experience. And that is full credit to everyone at Team Virtue, that's full credit to everybody because

01:18:05it's been honestly just superb.

01:18:07How important have your teammates been, mate? Because some weekends they have been proper stepping up.

01:18:12Yeah, I think you're right. And you know what? I think that's something that I've maybe not had that over

01:18:18the years.

01:18:19That's no disrespect to teammates I've had before. It's just that's, you know, we've maybe not quite had the car

01:18:23working together.

01:18:24And it's been the first time that I've been able to have the support from teammates.

01:18:28And honestly, that has been such a difference, such a difference. But as you'll have come in, you'll all have

01:18:35seen us at various stages over the season.

01:18:37We've laughed more this year. Mostly at Tom Chilton.

01:18:44But we have just laughed all year round. We've just had a smile on our face. And we have, as

01:18:50a team, we've just had the best time.

01:18:52Because you're with your mates, as I said before, you're just playing racing cars with your best mates. It's such

01:18:57a cool experience.

01:18:58You really are living the dream and properly on cloud nine. So well deserved. Tom, we are going to send

01:19:04you on your way.

01:19:04We know we've got a team that are desperate to see you and enjoy some celebrations with you.
