00:00Hey guys, another video for our Food and Eating in Japan playlist.
00:03So, we probably only go to McDonald's Japan about once a year on average
00:10because there's just so many better alternatives.
00:12There's so many better alternatives where the food's healthier and tastier and cheaper.
00:19So, it's sort of not really high on our list of preferences.
00:26So, now and again we will, just for whatever reason, usually one of the younger people in the family wants
00:31to go.
00:32So, occasionally we will. In this case, we're out really early in the morning.
00:36And so, we drop by to grab a couple of breakfast things.
00:40But there's just so many better alternatives.
00:42And as we've showed you before, even for fast food drive-thrus, we can get gudon, rice and beef.
00:55For less than the price of McDonald's.
00:58And they have gudon shops that have drive-thru windows.
01:02So, there's just so many better options.
01:06Usually, I think most families in Japan treat McDonald's as sort of like a special thing.
01:12Maybe once a month or so.
01:14I mean, not all.
01:15I mean, probably some go more regularly.
01:17But most families here, I think, probably some would probably not go at all.
01:22You know, some might be like us once a year or maybe once a month or something.
01:27So, it's not super popular.
01:29In fact, as we've showed you in the past, some McDonald's stores have closed down.
01:33Because they just weren't popular enough.
01:35Because there's so many better options.
01:38So, the taste, yeah, it does taste sometimes a little different from what it does outside Japan and other countries.
01:45But it's similar.
01:46It is similar.
01:48Anyway, that's McDonald's for another year.
01:50More videos coming soon.
