00:06And I'm paraphrasing that a little bit. Do you think this is good for the league, this nine-game schedule?
00:12The nine-game conference schedule is not going to be great for the league.
00:16It's going to be great for the quality of television.
00:19And somewhere in the television deal that they signed with the Disney, ABC, ESPN,
00:24the language had to say that this was going to come about because the inventory is going to be unbelievable.
00:30And for the college football fan, that's a terrific thing.
00:33But if you're trying to impress a college football playoff committee and you're trying to get there yourself,
00:41they have never really taken on the strength of schedule.
00:46That almost always comes down to what your record was, regardless of who you played.
00:52Steve Sarkeesian made that point last year.
00:54If we are 10-2 and played, you know, Sisters of the Poor rather than Ohio State in the non
00:59-conference,
01:00we'd have been in the college football playoff.
01:01And he's right.
01:02So where do we find an incentive to play good on good,
01:09which is why I think we're talking more 24 teams going in.
01:12And I think I would like to see automatic qualifiers.
01:15People worry about automatic qualifiers and having the impact, negative impact, on a regular season.
01:22I think the regular season will be enhanced incredibly, especially late October, early November,
01:29where you have to get to this number if you're going to make the playoff, just as the NFL does.
01:35And, you know, seeding is incredibly important because you're trying to get a home game.
01:40So I think we're going to get there.
01:44The question is when.
