00:00Boy, I watched a train wreck this past weekend, and it's known as USC football.
00:05I said this when Lincoln Riley was hired that he would be the very worst coach
00:09that the Trojans have ever hired.
00:13He's a guy that's never won anything when he was at Oklahoma.
00:16And here's the most telling thing about his program.
00:20They can't play defense.
00:21It is the same issue year in and year out.
00:25Nobody in Southern California that plays defense wants to play at USC,
00:30which is one of the great traditional, great defensive football programs.
00:34Nobody wants to play there.
00:36Lincoln Riley is now 5-15 versus top 25 teams.
00:42And they get beat by a backup quarterback, and Oregon ends up putting the wood to them.
00:48I mean, it absolutely was really no game.
00:51As that game continued to go on, you saw some of the deficiencies.
00:55And if you're getting beat in your own barn like this, Lincoln Riley, in my opinion,
01:02this offseason, 72 million reasons to get rid of this guy.
01:06And I know that's a big number, to get rid of Lincoln Riley.
01:09But this guy's lost his program.
01:11He addressed the media after this debacle.
01:14First, I want to say hope Dante is okay.
01:18Never want to see that with any opponent, no matter how competitive the game is.
01:24You know, these are all people at the end of the day on both sides.
01:26So, wish him a speedy recovery.
01:30Lincoln, did you see Desmond celebrating after they hit on Dante?
01:33And if you did, what was your reaction?
01:34I did not see it, no.
01:37Okay, well, I'm not going to hammer the coach for that because, obviously, the coach has got more on his
01:42mind during a football game,
01:44watching the sidelines, seeing if his football players are celebrating.
01:48But Desmond Stevens, obviously, this play here coming up here that we're going to show you on Dante Moore was
01:54a very ugly football play.
01:56And make no mistake about it, it really put him in the hospital, and it was a cheap shot.
02:02There is no question about it, this was a cheap shot.
02:06And it was, in my opinion, intentional.
02:09My bigger problem was the kid going over to the sidelines and then celebrating.
02:15Well, USC and the head coach, Lincoln Riley, issued an apology.
02:23Look, I'm all good with the apology.

02:29It's time to move on.
02:30Kid made a mistake.
02:32Kid was wrong.
02:33It was intentional.
02:35The problem I had more was with his character after.
02:38Look, football is such a tough game as it is.
02:41Nobody's out there permanently trying to injure people.
02:44High-fiving guys after you put a hit on somebody like that, plus it being a cheap shot where you
02:50put a kid in a hospital.
02:51Well, that's my bigger question with Desmond Stevens is an indictment on his character going over to the sidelines.
02:58I can't tell you how many times I've put big hits on people when I was at the University of
03:03Miami.
03:04But what you're doing over on the sidelines is nobody wants to see anybody in the hospital.
03:09You're trying to play as competitive as you can.
03:11You're trying to play as tough as you possibly can.
03:14And look, a lot of people, what they're doing now is the apology is not good enough.
03:19Well, what do you want from the kid?
03:23Blood?
03:24What do you want to do?
03:24Throw him in jail?
03:26What do you want to do?
03:27Throw him off his team?
03:28I'm not there with that.
03:30It's time to move on.
03:31It's an opportunity for a learning experience for your entire football team on how you conduct yourself as a football
03:38player and as a man.
03:40This is more of an indictment on the culture, in my opinion, there at USC.
