00:16That was a game that if you shut it off after the first quarter, you absolutely knew what was going

00:22Lane was going to score.
00:23He was going to score off.
00:24And now you start looking at this team.
00:26We know they have talent.
00:26We know they have, you know, the portal and the recruiting and the lane and they have talent.
00:31The question was, can they put it together?
00:33Now, you talk about the blame versus the credit.
00:36Clemson's not a very good football team.
00:37We found that out last week.
00:39Like, they just couldn't do anything at all.
00:41But on the betting side, you know, I'm like you.
00:44I'm more of a take the points guy.
00:46You know, we talked about Georgia and taking 40 and 50 points.
00:50If there's one team right now that I would be very scared to ever fade or take points against,
00:55it would be Lane Kiffin and LSU.
00:58And look no further than his halftime conversation with Holly Rowe.
01:03This team is up 31-3 at halftime.
01:06The only mistake they made was the first play of the game.
01:09Sam Levin interception, you know, a little dink pass interception.
01:13Automatically it was three points because it was right there in field goal range.
01:16And Lane is annoyed and says this should be 38-0.

01:29You've seen the halftime speech that sort of got leaked.
01:32This guy has a chip on his shoulder.
01:35It is LSU versus the world, period.
01:38Like, I wouldn't be surprised if they're all wearing T-shirts underneath their jerseys that says LSU versus the world.

01:45He wants to embarrass everybody.
01:47He has that I-don't-give-a-crap attitude, and it would be very hard-pressed for me to ever
01:53take points in a game versus LSU at this point until they start showing some weaknesses.
01:58I'm not saying they're going to go 15-0 win every game by 40.
02:01They're going to play teams better than Clemson.
02:03But I'm not taking Louisiana Tech.
02:05I'm staying away from this one.
02:07If he wants to score 80, he can score 80.
02:09And he's given me, like, and this is a different era, but he's given me 1990 Steve Spurrier vibes where
02:16Spurrier, mouth of the south, said what he wanted, what he wanted, made fun of Tennessee, made fun of Georgia,
02:22made the you can't spell citrus without UT, made the Georgia felony comments because he didn't give a crap.
02:28He would score 60 on you and then let you know about it.
02:32He would watch you be buried in the grave, and he would step on you.
02:35That is what Lane is doing right now.
02:37It's only a one-game sample size.
02:39But you look back at everything that went on at Ole Miss.
02:42He took the heat on that for bailing on his team in a national championship-type situation, stealing the coaches,
02:48stealing the players, going and getting NFL players.
02:51The list goes on and on.
02:53Betting against Lane at your own risk.
02:56I'm going to draw another comparison.
02:59And anyone who knows me knows that this won't come lightly.
03:05And it is probably one, Dave, that because of where you're located, you'll resonate with a little bit.
03:13LeBron following the decision.
03:16When LeBron made the decision to leave Cleveland, not by his own decision, he became the villain.
03:23And when I say, like, he made the choice, and then everyone's reaction boxed LeBron in to I have to
03:30be the villain.
03:32Lane Kiffin right now is the villain.
03:37And LeBron has talked about how he opted to embrace it.
03:42The results kind of varied, though.
03:45LeBron went to the NBA Finals that year, but he talked about how it was really heavy.
03:51And, you know, he kind of stepped back, reset, and obviously they rip off two championships in South Beach.
03:58I don't know if this is going to lead to a championship for Lane this year.
04:01But I think he's going to be the villain all year.
04:06And I think Lane is truly, to his core, angry.
04:13And I know this might sound like a little wild that we're, like, analyzing how he feels, but I can
04:19see, like, Dave, this is resonating with you a bit here.
04:22Like, when Lane is at a press conference saying, like, I dealt with all this stuff for two guys.
04:26What do you think I'm going to do now when we're actually out here playing games?
04:29And he's talking about everybody's reaction to them potentially putting the, you know, the NFL guys on the squad.
04:35Lane is wearing all of this.
04:39We've almost swept under the rug the Ole Miss stuff.
04:43Now, we won't next week when they play.
04:45But, like, he put Ole Miss in an unbelievable position, found Trinidad Chambliss from the FCS level, and everybody hates
04:53him now.
04:54And I don't blame Ole Miss fans for hitting him.
04:56I'm not saying poor Lane, but that's a lot for Lane.
04:59And it's going to give this guy a real chip all year long.
05:04And I think if you told Lane Kiffin that he was a 35-and-a-half-point favorite today, his
05:09thought wouldn't be, let's cover a number.
05:12I think he'd be actually insulted that they think it's possible he doesn't beat Louisiana Tech by more than they
05:20beat Clemson.
05:23And make no mistake, Lane is one of the guys who is fully aware of what that number is, and
05:29it's in the back of his mind.
05:30Does it change things?
05:31You don't know.
05:32He's looking at this as, you're mad at me for getting more money to go to a better school with
05:37more talent, have a better chance at winning a national title.
05:39You're going to be mad at me for that?
05:41I'm going to prove you wrong.
05:42And that's what he's doing.
05:43And I don't blame him.
05:45I don't like him.
05:46And I would absolutely take him as the head coach at the University of Florida tomorrow.
