00:00This puppy was lying motionless on the side of the road.
00:02Aileen had rescued so many animals up until this point,
00:05but this tiny puppy would become one of the most remarkable miracles yet.
00:09She had a severe brain trauma.
00:11The first three days she was in a coma.
00:15After she woke up from the coma, she started to show powerful symptoms.
00:21I was immediately calling a befriended vets,
00:24and they told me her chances are not very big.
00:28But to my surprise, her breathing normalized very fast,
00:33and that for me was clearly a sign that she wants to live.
00:37At just a couple months old, she had already survived Parvo,
00:41but because of her brain injury, she had to learn how to become a puppy all over again.
00:45She had to learn again how to stand, how to walk, how to sleep.
00:51I remember the first time when she was playing, I was just in tears
00:56because she is just a little baby, and I was so happy to see her being a little baby.
01:02As this little puppy was finally starting to thrive,
01:05Aileen actually reached out to me with the sweetest update.
01:08She decided to name her Dodo because she was inspired by this incredible community of people
01:12who celebrate and love animals.
01:14And not long after that, Dodo found the forever home that she'd been waiting for,
01:17all the way in Germany.
01:19To see her thrive for me is truly a miracle.
01:24From seeing her lifeless on the street to this cheeky, happy, and lovely puppy,
01:31I'm grateful that she can experience this beautiful journey that we call life.
