00:00It all started when Daun, a traveling contract worker, traveled to Saudi Arabia to work on a
00:04construction site for a year. While she was there, she saw so many stray dogs, who were often too
00:11skittish to get close to. This one dog, later named Roha, was surprisingly sweet when approached
00:18by Daun. She accepted food and water and even belly rubs almost right away. Realizing that a
00:25construction site was a pretty dangerous place for a stray dog to live, Daun dropped everything,
00:29including work, to find a way to help Roha. But international rescues are no easy feat.
00:38Luckily, Daun works closely with an American-based rescue called Love and Second Chances, who
00:43immediately jumped in to help. The rescue seemingly should have been easy given Roha's quick trust.
00:50All Daun had to do was get her to the vet. But on the way to the vet, she escaped
00:55and went
00:55missing for days. This rescue went from being easy to a complete nightmare. After many days
01:02of searching, Daun feared the rescue would fail. But knowing Roha couldn't have gone far,
01:06she kept looking. And at long last, Roha was spotted. She was exhausted, but unharmed.
01:14At the vet, Roha was given food, water, and she was spayed, in preparation for her trip to
01:19Korea with Daun. Each day, she seemed to be more and more excited, like she knew her hardships
01:25were finally over. And with only one more flight to go, she would soon be in America, eager to
01:30find her forever home.
