It’s a little creepy... but he LOVES him! Dino’s separation anxiety was so intense that Yaneth could barely leave the house, until she saw another dog find comfort in a human-sized doll and decided to try it herself. Now Dino snuggles up with “Haaland” while she’s gone, and somehow the world’s creepiest petsitter actually works. Dodo editor Valentina shares the hilariously sweet solution that gave them both a little independence.

00:00This might be the funniest solution to separation anxiety that I have probably ever seen.
00:06When Dino's parents leave the house, he cuddles with a life-sized human doll.
00:13Since the beginning, he always had separation anxiety, but this was like on another level.
00:19But behind this very creative solution is the severe separation anxiety that Dino has experienced since he was a puppy.
00:36I couldn't leave the house.
00:38Every time I would come back, like I would see him and he would just be so stressed and I
00:42just felt so bad for him.
00:45Nothing really seemed to calm him down.
00:47He was just so scared.
00:49I need to figure out how to fix this.
00:52I was anxious and he was anxious.
00:54Oh, puppy, you're so cute. I love you. I love you.
00:59But then they saw another family using the mannequin technique.
01:05So they were like, you know what? Like, why not?
01:08This is crazy, but I'm going to try it out.
01:11I dressed him up with my clothes and my boyfriend's.
01:15Immediately, he was so excited. He kept like trying to play with it.
01:21And they named him Holland.
01:24It's been great because I can finally leave my house and not have to be worried that my dog is
01:30having literally an anxiety attack at home.
01:33We only take him out when he's going to be alone.
01:36Like, I don't leave this around my house.
01:39I guess Dino thinks that Holland is like a little babysitter.
01:43Dino can finally relax.
01:45And this is all thanks to a human doll.
01:47Like, who would have thought?
01:58I don't know.
