00:00Bambi's story stopped me in my tracks. She was so tiny that rescuers thought she was nine weeks old,
00:06but she was actually five months. That absolutely broke my heart. When this stray puppy Bambi was
00:15dropped off at all creatures, great and small, she collapsed immediately and was rushed over to the
00:20vet. No one knew if she would survive the night, but Bambi was not ready to give up. After several
00:26nights of around-the-clock care, she was finally starting to get stronger. She made it to foster
00:31care and with lots and lots of love and attention, she was acting like a puppy again. As someone who
00:39has foster dogs coming from hard situations, the tail wag and seeing the light come back to her eyes
00:44was everything. You can just see Bambi's spunky self starting to come out. And then the best thing
00:53happened. A family, of course, fell in love with Bambi because who wouldn't? And she found her
01:00forever home. Three months later, her family brought her back to visit. Her rescuers could not believe
01:06their eyes and I cannot imagine how emotional that reunion was. This tiny puppy who couldn't even
01:12stand was so full of life. As a dodo editor, I see a lot of rescue transformations, but ones like
01:20this
01:21get me every single time. We love you, Bambi, and thank you to everyone at All Creatures, Great and Small
01:28for giving her a chance.
