They made sure they got all her puppies, and then they went back for mama ❤️Donna from Stray Rescue of St. Louis told us about how Miz Lotto and her seven puppies finally got rescued out of an abandoned house!

00:00They looked at me for a second and I think they realized, oh crap, that is not our mom.

00:05I first spotted her in the back of the house.

00:08She just kept barking, barking, barking.

00:10There was an open door on the side.

00:12I looked up and at the top of the steps there were puppies.

00:19I wonder if we should back off.

00:22I'm afraid they're going to fall.

00:23At this point, guessing the puppies were about 8 to 10 weeks old.

00:28There was no way that just nursing on mom was going to be enough for these puppies.

00:33Hi, are you hiding?

00:36There were so many hiding places, we were not 100% sure that we had all the puppies.

00:42The thought of leaving any puppies behind.

00:45Did you think you were going to get by without being caught?

00:48I just can't do that.

00:52The mom is in the woods right back here.

00:55She's been barking at me and then backing up.

00:56I set up a camera in the house and put out some food so I knew that if there were any

01:02puppies left, mom would still be there to keep them safe and also feed them.

01:08That puppy would eventually show up on camera.

01:10When we were absolutely certain, we didn't see any other puppies on camera at all, so we decided

01:23we need to just go back and go ahead and trap mom.

01:26We got your babies.

01:30Yeah, we wanted to get you two so you don't have to have no more babies.

01:34Some of them already went to foster homes.

01:37Yeah, maybe you'll get a foster home.

01:42The puppies were thriving in foster homes.

01:45We got mama out also into a foster home within about 24 hours and she just absolutely was perfection.
