00:00All right. Last player here we'll talk about. Man, I have loved watching Foster Griffin pitch all season. He is
00:08on the Washington Nationals, and there are some discussions that maybe he would be a guy the Nationals would move.
00:14So let me make a suggestion here to the Nationals. Yeah, you got to make this trade. I mean, I
00:19think he's great, but this could be the best pitcher available for a lot of different reasons, Tom, at the
00:26deadline.
00:26Because I don't know that Scoobles is going to be moved or not, but Foster Griffin is cheap. I mean,
00:32this was a one-year deal. You pay this guy three or four million the rest of the season to
00:36make another eight to ten starts and maybe even make playoff start number two or three. I would think the
00:42Nationals will cash in big on Foster Griffin.
00:44I think so as well. You know, you bring in early and maybe that signals that they are now dead
00:52set on moving Griffin because, you know, frankly, Griffin's been great. I think Kate Cavalli is super solid.
00:58And if you can do something with early to, you know, shift him into being more of an ace or
01:05a pseudo ace alongside Kate Cavalli, you now have an expendable asset with Foster Griffin.
01:10And again, we talked about this before, postseason teams would love to have this type of pitcher on their staff.
01:15And that's ultimately what postseason team needs is to get Foster Griffin, make the trade, get it going.
01:21And a left-handed pitcher right now in the big leagues, very, very crucial with a lot of these teams
01:27with lefty batters.
01:28It's really been somewhat of an epidemic with all these left-handed hitters.
01:32In fact, on Saturday, I don't know if people know this, but it was the first day ever with 250
01:37strikeouts and less than 15 home runs hit across the league.
01:42First time ever in the history of the game.
