00:00We mentioned, Craig, of course, two teams and really the one game that's on the board
00:06that doesn't have two teams that might actually or at least one of the two teams playing for
00:11something, the Giants at the Royals and the Royals won.
00:16I mean, you want to talk about laughable, but the Royals won on a walk off squeeze
00:20bunt last night, Craig.
00:22When is the last time that you've seen that or anybody actually even attempt that?
00:27So another low scoring game to offenses that just can't be trusted at this particular
00:34point to score enough runs 95 degrees at Coffman Stadium.
00:38They turned, you know, they kind of adjusted the dimensions in that park to cater to maybe
00:44some more home runs.
00:46But I mean, two teams that I first won the four wins because that I don't care who's pitching.
00:52No.
00:53Yeah, this is that game that you could give me Cabo Verde against Uruguay.
00:58I think I'd rather watch that one.
01:00It feels like this is an awful game.
01:01This is an awful game.
01:03And the Royals are disappointing, of course.
01:06But Joe, the Giants franchise is in a very strange state here.
01:11And I know a few years ago they ended up winning 100 games and they ended up winning the division
01:16somehow.
01:16I know they didn't win the World Series that year, but people forget the Giants, I think
01:20it was 2021 or two, the Giants ended up winning over 100 games.
01:24But they can't seem to get things figured out.
01:27Like they brought in, I mean, Joe, Farhan Zaidi was very integral in what the Dodgers were doing.
01:35He could not get that fixed.
01:37I mean, think about that.
01:38And he was doing what he was doing with Andrew Friedman in L.A.
01:43He couldn't get it fixed with the Giants.
01:45And so they bring in Buster Posey because all of a sudden they think, all right, well, look,
01:50you know, maybe not that analytics isn't the way to go.
01:53But, you know, Buster Posey, he's a team captain.
01:56He's a leader.
01:57You know, maybe this and Joe, it has not gone well for him either.
02:01Players don't want to sign in San Francisco.
02:03They don't.
02:04The only way that they can get guys to play there is trading for them, as we saw with
02:08Devers.
02:08And then they handed him that contract.
02:10By the way, Devers has been really good, I want to say, the last few weeks, too.
02:13If people have not been paying attention, he is now putting together a really good season.
02:17But the truth is, is that once they did that, that sort of gave them the payroll they had.
02:22And they're like, all right, we got to stop.
02:24Well, that's not good enough.
02:26Giants are in an odd, odd position, having basically, Joe,
02:31almost endless money to spend in a very big market, can't get players to go.
02:35What happens when you can't get players to go there?
02:37You end up getting players that you didn't want in the first place.
02:40Now that you're second and third options, how does that usually work out?
02:44Not very good.
02:46So I'm hopeful that city and that team get it worked out eventually.
02:51And probably secretly, Joe, I'm guessing that in the CBA meetings, they're like, yeah,
02:55give us the cap on the floor because we're never going to be able to beat the Dodgers
02:58if this is the way this is going to go forever.
03:00I mean, you put L.A. versus San Francisco, they're going to pick L.A.
03:04almost every single time.
03:05So that's, it's tough, man.
03:09Right now is not a good time to be a Giants fan.
03:11Let's just put it that way.
