00:19:39So I could for sure make them drop their car, make them laugh, and then take their money.
00:19:49The most competitive amongst the UFC fighters is Pablo Costa.
00:19:56He's podium a lot of times.
00:19:58I was just a reigning champion, but I'm going to win tonight.

00:20:04With poker, there's so much behind it that I was able to transfer into the UFC and my fighting.
00:20:09And it just really helped me control my emotions, which is something my coaches have been telling me for, like,

00:20:16Before, if I get hit, the whole strategy and everything would just go out the window.
00:20:20But with poker, it's like, I made that choice.

00:20:30It's all about strategy, not showing your hand, not showing what you're trying to do, setting your opponents up.
00:20:35Maybe you check one hand, then the turn comes.

00:20:40Maybe you check again and reel them in a little bit.

00:23:44I got one of the best teams in the world.
00:23:46This has been the best fight camp of my life,
00:23:48going through that last 15-minute war on Dana White Contender Series.

00:36:26And I believe that's what Ankulaev sees in this matchup tonight.

00:38:23Former champion Magomed Ankulayev and new challenger Bogdan Gushkov
00:38:27are approaching this fight from obviously very different perspectives,
00:38:30but the goal for each of them remains the same.
00:38:33They are both out to prove and leave no doubt
00:38:35they are the number one contender for the light heavyweight title.
00:38:38Now, Ankulayev says that the biggest growth of his entire career
00:38:42actually came recently after dropping the title to Alex Pereira.
00:38:45He says it forced him to overhaul all of his training,
00:38:47focusing in on the smallest details.
00:38:49He segmented this camp with extreme precision,
00:38:52first going to Thailand to work on the strength and conditioning.
00:38:55Then it was to Dagestan, where he trained at two sets of gyms,
00:38:58one for sparring and one for his freestyle wrestling.
00:39:00He spent the last two weeks in Dubai to get properly acclimated.
00:39:04And for the first time in his career, this is a little bit hard to believe,
00:39:07but for the first time in his career, he hired a nutritionist
00:39:10to really dial in his diet.
00:39:11He says this was the easiest weight cut he has ever had.
00:39:15Now, Ankulayev says he is not underestimating Gushkov,
