00:02I have tried many, many facials on Beauty With Me,
00:05but short of that one time when I got a vagina facial,
00:09I haven't gotten a lot of body treatments.
00:11This season though, desperate to smooth and nourish my scaly winter skin
00:17and get a little bit of R&R in,
00:19I decided to book my very first body wrap at Premiere 57.
00:23Before we show you all of the details though,

00:32Okay, on to the wrap.
00:34So I got the avocado silk wrap,
00:36which is designed to exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate the skin on your body.
00:41I'm told it was a pretty standard body treatment,
00:44but for me, since it was my first time, I found it a little strange.
00:48When I got to the treatment room,
00:49I was shocked to find out that I was getting my wrap
00:51in what essentially was a really, really big shower.
00:55I was instructed to put on some disposable undergarments
00:59to prepare for the explosion of water I was about to experience.
01:03My esthetician was so kind and made me feel super comfortable.
01:06She started off the entire treatment by just cleansing my skin from foot to shoulder
01:10and then moved on to the exfoliating section.
01:14So this was a pretty, like, basic exfoliation, I would say.
01:17She left a layer of the cleanser on to kind of get things moving.
01:21She picked up a couple handfuls of brown sugar,
01:24scrubbed my entire body, and then rinsed the whole thing off.
01:27She used a combination of, it's like your average run-of-the-mill shower head
01:31to rinse my body off.
01:33And this giant arm that had, like, five different nozzles on it
01:38and when you turn it on, it's like an avalanche of water.
01:41It felt really good.
01:42It felt really relaxing.
01:44It, like, kind of felt like your own personalized jacuzzi jet situation,
01:48but I was lying, like, on a bed in the middle of a giant shower.
01:51Despite the fact that the room was heated with heating bulbs in the ceiling,
01:54which is why it was so red during the entire procedure,
01:56I definitely was cold between water sessions.
02:01So, like, while she was scrubbing me down,
02:02like, during the cleanser before, like, the nice, like, warm water was on me,
02:05I was a little chilly, but it was nothing too crazy.
02:09I got over it pretty quick because the final portion was really, really nice and warm.
02:14My esthetician got a little jar of the avocado body mask.
02:19So this is a very hydrating mask. It has essential oils in it.
02:22It has the avocado in it. It's nice and warm.
02:24She put it all over my body.
02:25And then she swaddled me in what appeared to be those foil blankets
02:32that you give runners after they've completed a race.
02:36Not that I would know, because I have never done that.
02:39But I imagine I would do that.
02:41She wrapped me all up in those foils, put some towels over me,
02:46and let me sit tight there for about 15 to 20 minutes,
02:49like a little baked potato, while the mask kind of seeped into my skin.
02:54This was the best part.
02:55It was very relaxing. I think I dozed off for a couple minutes there.
02:58It was nice and cozy.
03:00I felt like a little caterpillar in a cocoon.
03:02And then she unwrapped me, rinsed the whole thing off,
03:06I dried off with my clothes back on, and that was it.
03:08My skin felt a lot smoother and softer after the treatment.
03:11However, it's $180, and I do think that's quite expensive for what it is.
03:16What I do think is really worth it, though, is a day in the facility itself.
03:20Premier 57 is essentially a huge bathhouse with a rooftop deck with jacuzzis in it,
03:26pools, saunas, the whole shebang.
03:28It normally costs $75 to have access to the bathhouse and all of its amenities,
03:32but you can actually get really good deals for it on Groupon.
03:35But for those of you who don't live in this area or don't really like the idea of going to
03:40a bathhouse,
03:41I would suggest taking a look at our video on how to turn your bathroom into a spa.
