00:14So, this is the entryway to our labs.
00:16You have sanitized lab gear in these UV machines,
00:20and we have special lab coats made for us.
00:25Lab fashionable.
00:26For sure.
00:31Where are we?
00:33Okay, so we are in the vat vault.
00:37The formula will be made in all of these massive tanks.
00:40This is so cool.
00:41They're huge, massive.
00:46So, tell me how this works.
00:48Yes, so these vats mix their formula inside
00:50and help all the actives and ingredients
00:52be evenly incorporated,
00:54and we can actually take a peek inside.
00:56Ooh!
00:57Ooh!
00:57Oh my gosh, that looks so heavy.

01:01Okay, so this is like a giant kitchen.
01:04Basically, yes.
01:05And the formula smells...
01:07It smells so good.
01:13So, where are we and what are these?
01:16So, we are in the formula storage room
01:18where these huge tubs of Watermelon Glow Pore Tide Toner
01:22are waiting to be filled.
01:23Our Pore Tide Toner was a true labor of love.
01:26It balances BHA and PHA,
01:28which helps to decongest and smooth the skin,
01:30with also this bouncy hydration from Cactus Extra.
01:33So, best of both worlds.
01:35I've been seeing this toner all over TikTok and social media,
01:38but what skin type is it best for?
01:40So, it really works for all skin types
01:42because it's so hydrating and gentle for daily use.
01:45If you're dry, you could use it at nighttime.
01:47If you're a little more oily,
01:49you could use it day and night.
01:50It really depends on your routine.
01:53The VATSA formula that we saw earlier of toner
01:56are now being filled.
01:57All of our beautiful bottles are actually 100% recyclable

02:04And this first machine, which we'll hear in a second,

02:18So, that one VAT that we saw,
02:20how many bottles can that fill?
02:22That VAT actually fills around 6,000 bottles.
02:25Wow.
02:26It's a pretty big VAT.
02:27That's amazing.
02:31All right, so that was so fun
02:33and I'm excited to sit down to this Korean lunch spread,
02:36including Korean snacks.
02:38So, we're going to dive right in.

02:46So, how did you and Sarah decide
02:48you wanted to start your own skincare life?
02:50When we launched Glow Recipe,
02:52we really wanted to make skincare something fun
02:55and enjoyable and something you talked about on social,
02:58shared with friends,
02:59because I think at the time,
03:01skincare was really perceived more as a chore.
03:04Totally.
03:04But we grew up with this mentality
03:06that skincare was like the best part of your day.
03:09And then when that eventually came to our own products,
03:12we saw that there was a lot of very serious brands.
03:15Efficacious, but very serious.
03:17And then a lot of fun, whimsical brands,
03:19but not something that was both.
03:21And I truly believe you can bridge the two.
03:24So, with Glow Recipe,
03:25it's about making each and every product really efficacious,
03:29gives you real results,
03:30but then the whole time,
03:31you're really enjoying each moment you're using it.
