00:00Hey, I'm Leanne.
00:01And I'm Nydia.
00:01And this is Beauty in a Snap.
00:03Today, Lydia is going to show me how to rock a wearable goth look.
00:09Now, Lydia is a superstar of Friday 29.
00:11She is known all around the office for her black lipstick and her vampy goth vibes.
00:17And I'm so excited to learn how to do it.
00:19So what is the first step in your makeup routine?
00:22So once I've done my base, then I start with eyebrows.
00:25Okay, power brows.
00:26I love a power brow.
00:27They are the curtains to the window of your face.
00:30That's true.
00:31So beautiful.
00:32So I fill in all of the like hairy bits and then I'll use a liquid eyeliner to like create
00:37a point on the end and to create a boxy shape at the beginning.
00:40So I'm using this Illamasqua eyebrow cake over basically just over my natural brows.
00:46This is tricky because you don't want to go in too far and you have like a Frida Kahlo moment.
00:50So the next step in the routine is liquid eyeliner.
00:53Liquid liner can be really intimidating to a lot of people.
00:56I'm using a pen, an eyeliner pen, liquid eyeliner pen by DHC.
01:01It's Japanese brand.
01:02When you have like a confidence swoop is when it always looks the best.
01:05Yeah.
01:05If you're like shaking and nervous about doing it.
01:06It's a little like shh shh shh shh shh shh.
01:15So the third step is to just put a tiny bit of mascara on. I don't put loads on.
01:19I think that having a little bit of mascara when you're wearing eyeliner kind of lets everything blend together.
01:25Yeah, exactly.
01:26The final step and my kind of finishing touch is my lips. They take the longest and I usually leave
01:31until last
01:31because then I can be like drinking a cup of coffee while I'm doing the rest.
01:34So I start with, again, another liquid eyeliner, but this is more of like a kind of tattoo pen.
01:40I'm learning something new today. I've never used liquid eyeliner to line my lips before,
01:44but in theory it actually makes a lot of sense because it's not going to bleed all over your lips.
01:49Now I'm going to use my favorite lipstick right now, which is this Kat Von D Witches.
01:54Yeah, Witches.
01:55Perfect name for that.
01:57Right? And it goes on like a gloss, which I really like because it's super malleable,
02:01but then it dries like super matte.
02:03Yeah, matte and also like that is not coming off.
02:06I'm going to use a black lipstick from the drugstore that I really like from the Katy Perry Cover Girl
02:10Collection.
02:11The shade is Peri Panther.
02:21Yeah, this one's actually good if you're starting out with this look because like this has got like a timer
02:26on it,
02:26whereas with this you can still like move it around a little.
02:28I feel like the black lipstick makes my teeth look kind of whiter than they usually are.
02:35The thing is there's not that many steps, you know, and if you like mess up like I just did
02:38then,
02:39you can literally just like push it back in.
02:41The dot under the eye, which I've seen you wear before and I really like,
02:45so I want to know how you do it.
02:47You basically just have to like stare at yourself like squarely in the mirror and figure out where it's symmetrical
02:51and just dot once.
02:53Cool, so this is the finished look.
03:02What do you think? How do I look?
03:04I think you look great.
03:05I feel like I'm giving off a little Queen Amidala vibes.
03:08Not that she even like really wore this look, I just feel like it's a little bit.
03:12It is.
03:12This whole look was actually so much quicker than I thought it was going to be.
03:15Yeah, people often come up to me and like how long does this take and actually it's really quick.
03:20It's literally just like eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipstick the same as everyone else.
03:23Yeah, it just happens to be all black.
03:24Yeah.
03:25Which is way cooler.
03:27Well, thank you so much for watching. Bye!
