00:07today's a little different because i am going to be bringing you along vlog style as i get ready
00:13for an award show like a celebrity would so i actually found out a few things that celebrities
00:18obviously do and i'm going to be doing a couple of those things today i'm going to be going to
00:22the joanna varga spa in new york that spa has actually prepped a ton of different celebrities
00:27for award shows including betty gilpin dakota johnson emma roberts greta gerwig mandy moore
00:33maggie gyllenhaal the list goes on and i'm going to be seeing the head esthetician there her name
00:38is sarah and she's going to be doing the full body detox peel on me which basically gets your skin
00:42prepped for photography and the red carpet for events so i'm going to go over there right now
00:47and afterward i'm actually going to have a glam squad getting my hair and makeup done
00:51potentially in the likeness of margot robbie because she is one of my favorites to watch on the red
00:55carpet so i think it'll be a very fun day i will see you at the spa bye
01:05i'm here with sarah she's the head esthetician here at the joanna vargas spa and we're going to
01:10do the full body detox peel today awesome i'm really excited me too i'm excited for my body to be
01:16like
01:16glowing after this perfect let's start okay cool so this is the first step in the full body detox and
01:24it's the microdermabrasion so it really preps the skin to receive the hydration its main purpose is
01:30exfoliation and it's using the crystal tipped one to get off the dead skin cells and suck them away so
01:36that everything is nice and smooth and even and it leaves the whole body feeling baby soft
01:46the next step we're going to do is coconut oil based so inside the ball it's the coconut flakes
01:52and we're able to infuse them into the skin coconut oil is anti-inflammatory it's antibacterial it's not
01:57greasy it's very light and the way we're infusing it in you could literally get off the bed and get
02:03dressed and be ready for an event or real life that was amazing i can totally see why so many
02:12celebrities do this before the red carpet because it makes your skin look so even and it's great
02:17that you can do it so fast it was one hour one hour and you there's no recovery time my
02:22skin feels so
02:22smooth i honestly don't think my skin has ever felt this smooth before i'm so happy i didn't know it

03:06you a nice body buffing but won't necessarily cost as much i've been really loving this body scrub
03:14lately it's a new one from dove it's called the exfoliating body polish and this one's in the crushed
03:20macadamia and rice milk scent it smells really good and what i like about this body scrub
03:24is that rather than just being like something like sugar or walnuts in an oil it's actually in
03:31this really creamy mixture that doesn't leave a greasy residue on your skin so you can put it on
03:38and you can scrub it on it it feels very smooth it's not too abrasive and when you rinse it
03:44off it
03:44rinses off super easily it doesn't leave an oily residue on your skin and it also doesn't leave an oily
03:50ring around your bathtub which a lot of scrubs can do now that my skin is trapped i'm going to

06:39Getting ready like a celebrity this day was unreal.
06:42Like having the body peel was amazing.
06:45It was super relaxing.
06:46Getting my hair and makeup done was really fun.
06:48Although I will say that I do like doing my makeup myself.
06:51Even if I were to go to an award show I think I would want to do my own makeup

06:54I love makeup that much but hair wise I'm no hair professional and like having someone
06:59do something on me that was a little bit out of my comfort zone was really fun.
07:02Like I never do this slick kind of smoother hairstyle so that was really fun.
