00:00Hello, the dry spell continues for most of us, the sunny spells continue for most of us as well,
00:06although there is a fair bit of cloud around in places, you can see on the satellite image here.
00:11This area of largely cloud freeze, guys, is the area of high pressure dominating our weather,
00:17but around the top weather fronts are starting to make a bit of an impression,
00:22starting to drift their way south, certainly bringing more cloud over northwest Scotland
00:27and a little bit of showery rain here through the rest of today.
00:30A bit more cloud generally too for northern Ireland, parts of northeast England,
00:34and a bit more cloud in eastern England may produce one or two very light showers,
00:38but not very much at all, not enough for gardeners to get excited about.
00:42For most places, there will be plenty of sunny spells, certainly southwest Scotland, Wales,
00:47southern counties of England, lots of sunshine to come here.
00:50We'll see some sea breezes develop, the winds generally lightened with the strength of the sun.
00:56Those temperatures jumping up, so another very warm day, a touch warmer than yesterday,
01:00perhaps over the Midlands.
01:01Again, southwest England, southeast Wales, 27, 28 degrees, similar temperatures in the London area.
01:07It is a little cooler in the east end across northern Scotland where we've got that thicker cloud,
01:11which will persist through the evening and overnight,
01:13still providing some outbreaks of rain and drizzle for the Highlands and the Western Isles.
01:18A little bit of showery rain coming and going across Aberdeenshire too,
01:21but most places will be dry, largely clear skies and light winds could turn a little misty,
01:26one or two shallow fog patches forming over parts of the Midlands, Wales and southwest England,
01:32but most areas just having a dry night, long clear spells.
01:35It will turn quite cool in rural spots, we'll be down into single figures,
01:39but most towns and cities likely to stay in the mid-teens, so quite a warm night again for many.
01:45On to Thursday, more of the same really.
01:48Again, thick cloud at times over northern Scotland.
01:51Some light rain and drizzle will tend to come and go with a breeze picking up at times.
01:56We may see a few showers filtering through Northern Ireland, perhaps northern and eastern England,
02:00seeing the very old light shower coming and going.
02:02But most places dry, mixture of cloud and lengthy spells of sunshine.
02:07If anything, a touch warmer again in the south, quite hot probably,
02:10as temperatures get close to 30 Celsius across southern counties of England and Wales.
02:15A little warmer on the eastern coasts as well as the breeze starts to swing in from the west.
02:20And that will be a trend as we head towards the end of the week and into the weekend.
02:25Starting to see the high pressure we saw earlier sink away to the south,
02:29allowing weather fronts to topple in from the northwest.
02:32And that will continue as we go through the weekend.
02:35Again, not huge amounts of rain for gardeners and farmers to get excited about,
02:39but the high pressure slinks away.
02:42And weather fronts, I haven't seen many of those recently,
02:46do push down all the way across southern areas through Saturday night and into Sunday.
02:50So there will be at least some rain around and a bit of a change as we head into the
02:55weekend.
02:56Will it last into next week?
