00:00A severe weather outbreak hits the east coast today. Our level three out of four high risk of severe weather
00:04stretches from Washington, D.C. to Baltimore and Philadelphia.
00:07But severe thunderstorms are expected anywhere from southeastern Missouri through Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, New York City, and into western New
00:13England.
00:13Now, the greatest threat for severe weather arrives from mid-afternoon through about 9 p.m., so heads up if
00:18you'll be on the road for the evening commute.
00:19The biggest concern is widespread damaging wind gusts, but these storms could also produce large hail, isolated tornadoes, and dangerous
00:26flash flooding, especially where we already saw flooding Friday and Saturday.
00:29So stay weather aware and make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings today.
