A $850 security deposit turns into a $5,000 showdown on Judge Judy! After living in a townhouse for more than two years, tenant Miss Yanette wants her deposit back. But former landlord Miss Mitchell claims she's owed thousands for damage to the carpet and walls.

The landlord insists the carpet needs replacing, but there's one problem: she can't produce photos showing its condition before the tenant moved in. Judge Judy allows $150 for professional carpet cleaning but draws the line at making the tenant pay for brand-new carpeting. Nice try, but Judge Judy isn't financing anyone's home improvements!

Watch this classic Judge Judy clip as Judy Sheindlin separates legitimate cleaning costs from an expensive landlord demand.
