00:00All right, so more news in the NFL,
00:03and I think this is going to become more of an issue
00:05as we go further along here in the relationship that the NFL has with gambling.
00:10It is not now on the players any longer.
00:13The National Football League has suspended Arizona Cardinals
00:17executive personnel director.
00:20He's head of all college scouting.
00:24Ryan Gold was suspended by the National Football League
00:27for insider information.
00:31He was doing this on the night of the draft.
00:34He was doing prop bets, allegedly,
00:38and betting on who the team was going to pick
00:41and sending out prop bets on who the team was going to pick
00:46and doing these prop bets.
00:49He violated the NFL's gambling policy.
00:53This is not a player any longer.
00:55This is now an executive, that inside information.
01:01You know, what's crazy is we just come out of the Brendan Sorsby story
01:04on how the NFL is so guarded when it comes to gambling.
01:09Well, with their relationship with all these gambling sites,
01:12did you not think eventually collateral damage was going to happen?
01:17Hey, you got in business with gambling now,
01:21and this is going to be some of the stuff that's going to start hitting the league.
01:24You know, it's one thing to sit there and say that a player
01:27could have inside information on who's going to be healthy
01:31and who's not going to be healthy for a respected game on the weekends.
01:34You now have executives inside the organization of a football team
01:40making those decisions.
01:42How do you guard against this?
01:44You can't.
01:46Roger Goodell, as good a job as he's done with the National Football League,
01:50I mean, you can say whatever you want about Goodell.
01:53I'm not a big fan of his, but look at the wealth of the league.
01:57The league has now gotten into bed with gambling,
02:00and they are now hitched at the hip with gambling.
02:05You've got an NFL owner in Robert Kraft who's involved with a gambling site
02:10and involved with a high stakes with DraftKings
02:13and a big investor in DraftKings.
02:16What did you think was going to happen?
02:19You know, you keep telling people that the NFL,
02:21we're going to keep an eye on this.
02:23We're going to go down the right lane here,
02:25making sure that the game is held with integrity.
02:28How in the world can you sit there and tell me
02:31that the National Football League is going to guard its integrity
02:35when you're involved with one of the things
02:37that damages the integrity of the game,
02:39and that is gambling?
02:42And now you're telling people that you're involved with DraftKings
02:45and FanDuel, and you're knee-deep in it with them,
02:48and you're doing all the fantasy football leagues.
02:51Folks, they created fantasy football for you to gamble on the sport
02:56to keep you engaged in television ratings.
02:59Do you understand that?
03:0036 to 10 blowouts at the end of football games,
03:04and the TV ratings haven't moved.
03:06Why is that?
03:07Gambling.
03:08Because you have prop bets on many of the players
03:12that you're hoping will score for your fantasy football league.
03:15That's exactly why the NFL is knee-deep in it.
03:19Plus, it's another revenue source for the NFL owners.
03:23Man, you talk about really a lot of collateral damage
03:26that's on the horizon.
03:28This is what's going to happen, folks,
03:30when you get in bed with gambling.
