00:00Catastrophic and life-threatening flooding underway across the hill country of Texas.
00:06That is west of San Antonio.
00:08Take a look at the rainfall totals that we've seen so far this week.
00:12Many locations will end up, listen to this number, over two feet of rain.
00:17The flooding across the rivers, similar to what we've seen in the last year.
00:22Everybody remembers the tragedy at Camp Mystic near Kerrville and Kerr County, July 4th, 2025.
00:30Well, the Guadalupe River levels are approaching those kind of surges.
00:35We saw a surge along the Guadalupe River on Thursday morning rise 32 feet in just four hours.
00:43That's the bad news.
00:44But the good news is the levels along those rivers will come down quickly as we move into Friday and
00:50over the upcoming weekend.
00:51The reason for the heavy rain, this slow-moving upper low, it will finally drift to the west as we
00:58go over the next couple of days.
00:59It will weaken, and with that, the thunderstorms will drift to the west as well, not only Friday, but Saturday
01:06as well.
01:07And by the weekend, much of this region will be dry.
