00:00We have a high risk of tropical development in the northwest Gulf as we go through this week.
00:06We do not believe this will be a name storm, but we do think there is a high risk that
00:11this will be a tropical rainstorm or a tropical depression as we head into Tuesday, Wednesday.
00:18Now, there it is. It's an area of low pressure over land right now.
00:22However, it's going to be drifting to the northeast as we get into Tuesday, Wednesday and into Thursday water temperatures
00:32in that part of the Gulf are super warm.
00:34You need 80 degrees for development. If you're just looking at water temperatures, this is going to be in the
00:39lower 80s.
00:40What's going to also aid development is some jet stream energy that's going to dig south into Texas and then
00:48drop into that system, strengthening it as we get into Tuesday night.
00:52And then that parallels the Texas coast Wednesday and Thursday.
00:56And there's going to be torrential rains with this causing flooding, including cities like Corpus Christi, Houston and Lake Charles.
