00:00Same old story for the southeast this week.
00:02Heat, dryness, and a drought that keeps spreading.
00:06A cold front will finally drag in some much-needed rain, but don't expect a miracle.
00:12Take a look at the 30-day rainfall, and you see a common theme here.
00:18Wet across Texas and the southern plains, some much-needed rain across parts of Mississippi and Alabama.
00:24That's the green.
00:25But notice, the farther east you go, the drier it's been.
00:28In the last 30 days, what have we seen front after front come toward the southeast and weaken?
00:36So what's going to happen this week?
00:38We have another frontal boundary that we're tracking.
00:41By tomorrow, that will be pushing into Tennessee and Arkansas.
00:43And once again, we'll be looking at some much-needed showers and thunderstorms from east Texas to the Tennessee Valley.
00:50And fortunately, ahead of that front on Wednesday, it's breezy and it's warm.
00:54From the Carolinas to southern Georgia, where we have the worst of their drought.
00:58And that means the fire danger will be heightened.
01:01Now, here comes that front as we get into Thursday.
01:04With it, some showers and thunderstorms.
01:07But once again, as that front approaches the Carolinas, it weakens.
01:11Future rainfall.
01:12Showing the rain we're going to see with this front.
01:15And you see a common theme.
01:18Heaviest rain across the Tennessee Valley.
01:20But by the time that front gets toward the Carolinas, the rain starts to peter out.
01:26So where do we have the worst of the drought?
01:29Across southern Georgia and the Carolinas.
01:31Well, we have the least amount of rain this week.
01:34Good기 quit.
01:34However, that's your own bait.
