00:06I'm Cinnamoon with Auto Alley Marketplace, and I'm here with Yaya Diamond.
00:30Subscribe today before it's too late. Inspiration flowing just like the breeze. Chase your dreams and feel at ease.
00:42Be good. Be very good.
00:46For you. You be good. You be very good. I'm just kidding. My name is Yaya Diamond. I am the
00:52host of Dream Chasers Radio.
00:55And we are having a great time. You know, there are a couple of purchases in your life that you're
01:00going to make that's going to be like outrageously expensive.
01:04And you don't want to mess up, not unless you want a fixer-upper, which most people, some people find
01:10that fixer-uppers are the best things to have because you don't have to spend that much money on it.
01:14But in the long run, you do make up for the spend. It's just that you don't have to spend
01:20it right away.
01:21But that's not what you want in a car. What you want in a car is for it to get
01:24to point A, which is home, after you've bought it, to point B, C, D, E, F, and G, and
01:31A, and all the other things that you needed to go to.
01:34And buying a classic would be the synonymous thing of buying like a fixer-upper home, right?
01:43But these are huge, big-time, thousands of dollar purchases that if it doesn't get you home, then why did
01:51you buy it?
01:52Well, I have an amazing person on the show today. She's developed a website, and I want to go ahead
01:58and put that up for you guys so you can see it.
02:01It's called Auto Alley Marketplace. And this place here is AutoAlleyMarketplace.com.
02:08And this is for people who really want to check it out and make sure it is good to go.
02:16Listen, I am telling you right now, if you walk off or try to drive off with a bad car,
02:24you're going to be upset.
02:25Yeah, and my girl right here, she's got it going on. Thank you so much, Moon. Was it Shana Moon?
02:32It's cinnamoon, like cinnamon.
02:34Like a cinnamon. Oh, Moon.
02:36Oh, my gosh. You shining like a cinnamon. Yeah, you good.
02:42Thank you, thank you.
02:44Thank you so much for being on the show. I appreciate it.
02:47Yes, I appreciate you.
02:49Girlfriend, now, let me tell you, I got to get to my questions because I got questions for you.
02:53First of all, I don't see too many people trying to, like, certify car.
02:59You know what I'm trying to say? Like, you work on a lot and it's like, yeah, we certify this
03:04car.
03:04You certified it by who?
03:07I know.
03:09Yeah. So what motivated you to create Auto Alley Marketplace?
03:13And what problem were you aiming to solve for car buyers?
03:17This came from me buying a car.
03:20And I walked into a dealership by myself as a woman.
03:26No experience.
03:29Because I've always bought cash cars and decided to do something different.
03:36So what happened when you walked in and they saw you like, oh, look at this girl all by herself.
03:43I mean, what was that like for you?
03:46And also, did you kind of know you were kind of pinpointed like, oh, look, we got a girl.
03:50You know, it's crazy.
03:53I actually, when I got in there, they gave me a female dealer.
03:57And I was like, I don't know, I felt kind of comfortable.
04:00Well, they did that on purpose.
04:02Yeah, no.
04:03They did that on purpose.
04:06They were like, yo, get the girl on her.
04:09Get the girl on her.
04:09Yes, go get the girl on her.
04:11Yeah.
04:12And so, I thought my deal, it wasn't bad.
04:15It wasn't bad, but when I got home, I was like, wait a minute.
04:19I remember when I walked in, okay, the car was about $10,000, $10,000.
04:26Why not?
04:27I'm looking at it closer to $13,000.
04:29Hmm.
04:30Yeah.
04:32Yeah.
04:33And then when I went back for my registration, the day I went back to go pick it up,
04:37I was like, hey, where's, you know, whatever her name was.
04:40And they're like, oh, she's moved up.
04:42She doesn't sell cars anymore.
04:45So, I instantly felt punched in the chest.
04:48I did.
04:50I felt like I just got punched.
04:52What?
04:53You know that she was there and that she did so.
04:57They just, what?
04:58Ooh.
05:00Don't you hate that?
05:01I hate that.
05:02So, the one thing that you thought was $10,000 turned out to be $3,000 more.
05:07More.
05:07Mm-hmm.
05:08Oh, my gosh.
05:09Oh, my gosh.
05:10That's crazy.
05:10And then they told you that she's no longer there, which was a lie to begin with.
05:14Yeah, I know.
05:15I know.
05:16But, actually, they're like, she moved up.
05:18She's in the big offices now.
05:21Oh, she's in the big offices before.
05:24It's just really like, ah.
05:27Because I just felt, I felt like she got, and I'm like, how many other people did she
05:32get over on?
05:32Mm-hmm.
05:34Yep.
05:34Yep.
05:35I walk in the dealership like this.
05:37Mm-hmm.
05:38Mm-hmm.
05:39Yeah.
05:39See you.
05:40Don't you even try it.
05:42Yeah.
05:42Wow.
05:43So, okay.
05:43So, with that in mind, you started it because of your experience.
05:47Obviously, it wasn't a very good one.
05:48Was the car good?
05:50Yes.
05:50The car is good.
05:51And, like I said, the deal wasn't bad.
05:53But, I'm like, why do I feel like you just still, like, got an extra $3,000 out of me?
06:00Yeah.
06:00Yeah.
06:01You know, so.
06:03Mm-mm.
06:05Mm-mm.
06:05Auto Alley Marketplace help consumers understand complex financing and options before.
06:11Before.
06:12Before.
06:13Before they make the purchase.
06:15Yeah.
06:15Before.
06:16Before they sign.
06:17Yeah.
06:18Yeah.
06:19Right?
06:20Before they sign.
06:21My gosh.
06:22Yes.
06:23So, how do you do that?
06:26How does Auto Alley Marketplace help with that?
06:29So, we help.
06:32We educate.
06:33We educate.
06:34It's all about education, education, education.
06:37And so, we have three different packages that help people to understand, you know, because
06:45some people, they kind of got it.
06:47There's certain things that, you know, they just want, like, a second opinion.
06:51Like, this is the car that I want.
06:52I think I've checked it out enough.
06:54But I still want a second opinion.
06:56Because, you know, some people, they use, like, Carfax and things like that.
07:01But there are certain things that Carfax never tells you.
07:06And so, we have ways to get in there and find the other stuff.
07:10Like, cars that have been in floods.
07:12Cars that have rust on the bottom because they came from up north.
07:16Things like that.
07:18That's not on Carfax.
07:20That's not going to be on Carfax.
07:21No, it's not.
07:23It's not.
07:23And purposefully not going to be on Carfax.
07:27Of course.
07:27Purposefully not going to be there.
07:29Oh, my God.
07:30Yes.
07:31Okay.
07:31So, what measures do you take to ensure transparency?
07:34Do you go with them?
07:35Like, the hidden car fees and all that stuff.
07:37The extra $3,000.
07:39You know what I mean?
07:40Like.
07:42Like I said, education.
07:44So, we have so much education that we send, all this information that we send to the buyer.
07:50And we tell them what to look for in the deal.
07:52We tell them what questions to ask.
07:54Like, a lot of people when they go to the dealer, they're like, okay, well, I only want to spend
07:59this much per month.
08:01But, you don't think about the long term and the add-ons.
08:06Because once they start adding on, yeah, you can still get like, okay, your monthly payments the way that you
08:11want it.
08:12But, now you got your monthly payments an extra six months.
08:17Two years.
08:19Because they don't add it on so much.
08:21Uh-huh.
08:22One of the things that we really.
08:24Did you know that they charge you for the paperwork that you signed?
08:28No way.
08:29Bring your own paper.
08:32No.
08:32You're like, wait, you'd be pulled up in that place with a printer and paper.
08:36Like, okay, we can take this off.
08:39They put it on there because they got to process the paper.
08:42Oh, my gosh.
08:44So, that is a fee.
08:45And who knows, that free water that you're getting, they might be right in there somewhere.
08:51Oh, my gosh.
08:52That free water you just pay for a whole 42-pack.
08:57Exactly.
08:58Exactly.
08:58Oh, my gosh.
09:00That is crazy.
09:01Yeah.
09:02It's absolutely crazy.
09:03So, I'm on your website and I absolutely love it because it's so transparent.
09:06You got so many different amazing people that said that they had a great deal.
09:11You helped them review and understand the real out of the door price before they drove
09:16to the dealership.
09:17Yes.
09:18So, before they even get there, they already know what to expect.
09:21Having an inspection summary in plain English made the decision easy.
09:27The negotiation plan saved me time and kept the conversation focused on facts.
09:34I absolutely love to know that because, like I said, it's one of the bigger purchases that
09:39you make when you become an adult or when you have a teenage daughter or son and you're
09:46getting ready to buy them their first car.
09:48You got to know that.
09:50You got to know that.
09:51Yes.
09:52So, with that said, can you explain how your platform connects buyers with independent automotive
09:57experts and how this benefits the consumer?
10:00So, number one, we tell everyone, you must, must, must, must get a pre-purchase inspection.
10:11Pre-purchase inspection, got to have it.
10:14And so, we have some, some automotive shops that we work with.
10:20If not, then we find one in your area.
10:24Because, like I said, I would not tell anyone to, because you know, most people go to dealership
10:30and they just, hey, let me test drive it.
10:32You drive it, you may or may not even get on the freeway.
10:36And then you're like, okay, I don't hear anything.
10:37You let it sit and you let it run, see if it overheats.
10:41Yes.
10:42And that's it.
10:44And then you put out money, signed paper and you're gone.
10:48That's not enough because, oh my goodness.
10:51I'm talking to so many people all the time.
10:53And some of the stories that I'm hearing.
10:56They're crazy.
10:57Oh my goodness.
10:59I guess my deal was, was like heaven sick compared to some of the stuff that I've been hearing.
11:04It's bad.
11:06It is.
11:07Yes.
11:07It can be.
11:08And you know, it's so funny because even though they have a lemon law, you know, you still
11:14get limits.
11:15Yeah.
11:15All the time.
11:16And it's like, oh, well, we'll just give you another car.
11:19We'll give you your deposit minus our fee.
11:21It just made money off of me.
11:24Yeah.
11:25That's crazy.
11:26It is.
11:27That's absolutely crazy.
11:27So, um, the trustworthiness of your dealers and in your network, um, how, you know, how
11:35is that?
11:35And how do you, you know, tell the consumer that, Hey, I've been working with these people.
11:41So we got a, you know what I mean?
11:43I mean, a relationship.
11:44I see you kind of.
11:47Dealers.
11:48Dealers.
11:49Right.
11:50Dealers.
11:50No, not dealers.
11:51We don't have relationships with any dealers.
11:54Okay.
11:55Um, like I said, the, the auto body shops where you can go get a pre purchase.
12:00That's what I'm talking about.
12:01Yeah.
12:01The auto body shops.
12:02That's what I'm talking about.
12:03Like the auto body.
12:04Like maybe I said that wrong, but the auto body shops, the people that you're dealing with
12:09the people that will be kind of the middle person with the dealers.
12:13And, and let me tell you something, this is great because that pre inspection thing,
12:18they don't expect that.
12:20No, they don't expect that.
12:22Bring it up.
12:23They're like, what?
12:24Like you're not even supposed to know about that.
12:27Oh gosh.
12:28And then doesn't that make it stressless and a lot more comfortable for the buyer because
12:33they have someone there on their side that can go in.
12:36Do they go in on the same day?
12:38How does this work?
12:40So when a person is looking at a car, um, it is best to set up a, you know, with
12:47the
12:47dealership or with the person, if they're going to buy, you know, from a personal owner.
12:52To say, Hey, okay.
12:54I want to come look at this car.
12:55And during the test drive, I want to take it to get a pre purchase inspection.
13:00Hmm.
13:01So then, um, you have to coordinate, you know, so that the day when you pick it up, you also
13:07make sure that the, the auto body shop has a slot open for you.
13:11So you have to make, you know, these appointments.
13:14And, um, because the auto body shop does not work for the dealership.
13:19They're just getting paid to do your inspection.
13:22Hmm.
13:23They tell you everything.
13:24I mean, they go from the rooted to the tutor and they look everywhere.
13:28They look for, they do.
13:31They look for, you know, has this car been in a flood?
13:35Are there any leaks?
13:37Um, are there any like air leaks anywhere is, you know, they look for all of it and I've
13:43had great success.
13:45Um, cause I took two cars for a pre purchase inspection.
13:50Um, and they were very, very honest, very pricing.
13:57And I was looking at it on the website, compare up to three cars, your basic deal check.
14:02The essentials is only $97, right?
14:05Then you have a buyer's plus and a premium at $380.
14:09You get up to five car reviews.
14:11So is it your suggestion that people look at more than one car and then they can pick
14:20the cars that they want and then have them inspected?
14:24So the best thing first, like, you know, they contact us and they tell us, you know, what,
14:29what kind of car they're looking at.
14:31And then we usually will like, if they choose the package with three or five, we will go through
14:36the internet or if they have ones that they've already picked, like, Hey, I'm looking at this
14:40one.
14:40They'll send us the link.
14:41We will do the whole online inspection of the car that we can do, get all the information.
14:47Um, because some people don't know you buy a car.
14:50This is a story that I've just heard.
14:52A woman bought a car and she went in by herself.
14:58And I don't know how she didn't notice how many miles were on the car.
15:02I guess she just assumed because it was a newer model that it wouldn't have.
15:07But when she, after she signed the paperwork and drove off, she's like, I didn't know there's
15:12that many miles.
15:13And then come to find out afterwards that it was a rental car.
15:19It had been a rental car.
15:20So yeah, those things, or it could be a fleet car.
15:24You don't, you think, Hey, it's a newer model.
15:28Yeah.
15:29There's no way to have that many miles.
15:32Wow.
15:33Yeah.
15:33You know, sometimes these rental car places, they get rid of cars.
15:36They're going to sell it.
15:37They're going to get the top notch from these cars.
15:39They buy these cars.
15:40They rent out these cars.
15:42They make their money back triple quadruple.
15:44And then they sell it for the same price.
15:46It's like ridiculous.
15:47It is.
15:48And the thing is like, with rental cars, so many people have driven it and people drive
15:53differently.
15:55Some people drive really hard.
15:57So the car has been through a lot of different experiences when it's been a rental or like
16:02a fleet car.
16:10Your page goes through a lot of different questions like dealer add on fees, explain clearly car buying
16:17help for the first time by, should I get a pre-purchase inspection?
16:20Yes.
16:21You should get a pre-purchase inspection.
16:23Yes.
16:24Yes.
16:25A hundred percent.
16:26A hundred percent.
16:29Yes.
16:30A hundred percent.
16:30A hundred and fifty percent.
16:32Yes.
16:32Yes.
16:33Yes.
16:34So I love this because before anybody can even consider or even consider your services,
16:40you've already answered a lot of the questions.
16:43So you've given it to them.
16:45And like I said, I absolutely love it.
16:48And I want to go ahead and go down the line here because I want people to be able to
16:52go
16:52to your website and even if they can't afford to get your services, they can definitely afford
16:57to take the time to read through the blogs at least so that when you walk into the dealership,
17:04you're not going in there alone.
17:06You are actually going in there with auto alley marketplace.com.
17:09Yes.
17:10Even though you may not have the 90, whatever dollars it is.
17:14And that is, we do have a firm so that, you know, buy now, pay later.
17:20There you go.
17:21There you go.
17:22I mean, we know you're about to buy a car, but what this, when a person goes to our ally
17:31marketplace, they are like, you're going to save.
17:36You could save possibly $5,000.
17:39None of the plans cost that much.
17:41So yeah.
17:44Yeah.
17:44Right.
17:45It's like you could save the 3,000 that you, you spent on your car.
17:49You could be saving that or more.
17:50Like you said.
17:51Wow.
17:52This is wonderful.
17:54You know, the, the advice that you give to people when, when they're purchasing something
18:01as, as much money as a car, even a house, you know, you get, before you buy a house,
18:07you given, you get an inspection.
18:08Yes, you do.
18:10So why wouldn't you get an inspection for a thousand, a few thousand dollar purchase,
18:15$50,000 brand new car.
18:17It could be not even a $50,000 brand new car.
18:20Nowadays, $50,000 truck is used.
18:24I know.
18:25I know.
18:26$50,000.
18:28That makes no sense.
18:29I know.
18:30It makes no sense.
18:32Girl.
18:3250.
18:33Cause me, I'm like, I'm an SUV.
18:35I love SUV.
18:36I love big body SUV.
18:39And I'm like, Ooh, before I buy the next one, cause I'm looking at 40,000 and it's youth.
18:44And I'm like, that's a lot.
18:50So you don't want them to add on.
18:54It's already a lot.
18:55Oh yeah.
18:56Oh yeah.
18:56That is, that's where this particular article comes into play.
19:01Car negotiation help that saves you money.
19:05That is going to be the one read that you need to read.
19:09If you're going to go ahead and negotiate on their car.
19:11And, and I am telling you right now that auto alley marketplace.com.
19:16The blog section is a gold, gold, gold.
19:22Okay.
19:23Just go in there.
19:24And, and again, like you said, they have the buy now pay later kind of thing.
19:28And also you can't really afford not to do this.
19:32Yes.
19:32I can't.
19:33Like the most expensive package is three, 380.
19:38Yes.
19:38Yes.
19:39Even if you save a thousand dollars.
19:42Yeah.
19:43The difference.
19:44The difference is huge.
19:46And also a headache.
19:48Cause the moment that you walk off or you try to drive off and the transmission goes bad.
19:54Yes.
19:55Oh my goodness.
19:56I know.
19:56Okay.
19:56That's, that's, that's just not gonna, that's just not going to be good.
20:00Okay.
20:00I had, my daughters bought a car and they happened to be in another state when they did it.
20:06They bought a car and did not make it home.
20:09They didn't make it home.
20:10See, see, I knew it.
20:12I knew it.
20:13I knew it.
20:13I knew it.
20:14They did not make it home.
20:15What happened darling?
20:17Uh, they had to have it towed and had to have it fixed.
20:21Yes.
20:21They already signed the paper.
20:24And there was like, well, um, as it.
20:29Oh no.
20:31Yes.
20:32You did.
20:33Oh, oh, oh, oh, don't, don't do the as is thing.
20:38Don't do it.
20:38Cause they already know something's wrong with it.
20:41And the as thing, the as is thing is saying, oh yeah.
20:45Um, it has a bad transition and you may trans, you know, transmission, you may not make it off
20:50the lot, but you're going to buy it as is.
20:52Exactly.
20:53Yeah.
20:54Yeah.
20:55Shake your hand off your coffee or water or you can have some cookies.
21:01Don't do it.
21:03Don't do it.
21:03Don't do it.
21:03Just don't do it.
21:04Just don't do it.
21:06Don't buy it as his car.
21:08Don't do it.
21:10Let's see.
21:10Most people, they're like, oh, I love the car.
21:13It's so cute.
21:13And they did their little test drive and they don't know that a lot of times the dealership
21:19can turn all those lights off the check engine.
21:23They turn it off and you can drive it.
21:25Maybe who knows a hundred miles, maybe 50 miles.
21:29And all of a sudden all the lights come on.
21:32And you're like, wait a minute.
21:35I'm going to talk to the people here.
21:37Let me talk to them.
21:38You guys, let me talk to you for a second, darling.
21:40Okay.
21:41Listen to me.
21:42They have mechanics at the dealerships.
21:46They know how to turn everything off and on.
21:49They know how to get you.
21:51You need someone to be in your corner.
21:54And that's where auto alley marketplace is going to be the, the one asset that you have
22:01to make sure that when you drive off the lot, that you drive off the lot.
22:10And go home safely.
22:13While driving in the car you just bought.
22:15Yes.
22:17Yeah.
22:17Not in the tow truck that you just bought.
22:21With the car behind you in the tow truck.
22:24Yeah.
22:25Yeah.
22:26Terrible.
22:27Terrible.
22:27Oh my gosh.
22:28Well, I want to thank you so much for doing this and for actually creating this.
22:32This is, this is just amazing.
22:34Absolutely.
22:35Love it.
22:35I love the fact that people can actually go somewhere and get someone on their side.
22:40Yeah.
22:41You know, this is a big purchase.
22:43And like you said, a used SUV is 40 grand.
22:51Since when?
22:53No.
22:53Since when?
22:55Flintstones.
22:56Me.
22:57The Flintstones.
22:59Yeah.
23:00We'll be cutting off the bottom of the car.
23:04You may have to.
23:08Especially if you don't get that pre-purchase inspection.
23:11That is terrible.
23:13$40,000.
23:14A truck.
23:16Used truck.
23:16I saw someone say, oh yeah, my truck is used.
23:18So how much did you pay for it?
23:20$50,000.
23:21$50,000.
23:23It's supposed to be a brand new, something, something big, something nice, something pretty.
23:29No.
23:31And then people get mad because they go out for the Tesla trucks.
23:34Tesla trucks, brand new, I think is 50.
23:37Brand new.
23:38And they're like, yeah, I got to just go ahead and get a Tesla truck because it's cheaper
23:42than getting a used Ford.
23:46Oh no.
23:48That, that, that don't sound right.
23:50How much gas do them things take?
23:52Tesla doesn't take gas.
23:53Oh yeah.
23:53No, they don't take gas.
23:54I keep reading it.
23:55Oh, it's electricity.
23:56It's just electricity.
23:56One of those things, when I look at them, one, they look like, to me, like a kid made
24:03it.
24:03And so I don't even think about it.
24:06They got gas, electricity.
24:07I don't care.
24:08Because I don't want it.
24:09I like the car.
24:10The car design is nice, but the truck design is terrible.
24:14Yeah.
24:14The truck looks terrible.
24:15They're trying to be futuristic.
24:16You know?
24:17I don't know.
24:18It looks like something.
24:18I don't know.
24:19To me, it reminds me of Terminator and I'm trying to stay away from everything.
24:26Hey, that is crazy.
