00:12humid across the south as a new front drops in from the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic into
00:19the weekend.
00:19So we're going to see an increase in thunderstorms through the weekend across most of the south.
00:24Some of the storms will be severe.
00:25On Saturday, the best chance for severe weather is going to be into the Carolinas and parts
00:29of Georgia, into Virginia.
00:31Damaging wind and flash flooding are the main concerns.
00:34There will be some slowdowns along Interstate 95.
00:37Sunday, the severe threat pushes a little farther south with drenching downpours, flash flood
00:41concerns, and also some straight-line winds into Georgia, South Carolina, and portions
00:45of at least southern North Carolina.
00:48Widespread showers and storms.
00:49A disturbance rolls into this air mass that's very soupy and sultry.
00:53We're going to have daily downpours into the day Monday and Tuesday.
00:57Locally heavy rain.
00:58Much of the southeast could still use some more rain as severe and extreme drought continues.
