Dear Friends,

MAXDONE sent me their new Wildlife Camera WiFi Bluetooth - 4K 64MP Solar Trail Camera for review and I can tell you it's a game changer..!

Apart from the fab 4k footage and 64mp photos and apart from the WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity to the TrailCam Go app on your phone allowing you to remotely view images and change settings... the fact that it is a self-contained fully sealed unit that has it's own 6000mAh lithium battery chargeable by USB or via the built on solar panel means you know longer have to worry about spending extra on AA batteries or recharging them. You can leave this little guy out in the field for as long as you need to, months if necessary, and not worry about having to bring it back to recharge the AA's.

From my brief use in the field in difficult conditions it has performed remarkably well and I am more than happy to endorse this product... to the extent that I am likely to be ordering more for myself and gradually replacing my older AA battery powered ones.!

00:00okay so hello my friends i hope you're all doing well and welcome to another video
00:06i haven't done one of these in a while trail cams and what have you camera traps so i thought
00:14i
00:14might try and start off a new season here in 2026 by setting up a few cameras in this lovely
00:21woodland
00:23and also to test out a new camera that was sent to me by a company called max done and
00:32it's a really interesting little camera full disclosure by the way that i do get to keep
00:36the camera but i've been paid nothing for this review and i will put an affiliate link down
00:41below in the description for it if you're interested in that it's quite an interesting little camera
00:46it's tiny it's completely sealed self-contained so there's no putting batteries in so you don't
00:55have to deal with that it has a an enclosed 6000 milliamp hour battery which you recharge either
01:03from the wall via usb cable or by the built-in little solar panel it has but it's actually
01:12really tiny and the way you set up the the camera is via the trail cam go app which i've
01:21used on the
01:21other cameras as well that i have so that's really useful to be able to actually go on the phone
01:28link
01:28up to the camera and fix all your settings as you want them view whatever images without actually
01:36disturbing the camera from a distance and download them as well so that's pretty cool so it's a i
01:44think 64 megapixel photo camera and 4k resolution video camera so it'll be really interesting to see
01:53how that performs both in terms of the battery because it's been out for about a week it was 80
02:00percent uh charged when i brought it out and we've had basically a week mostly of rain uh and in
02:07this
02:08woodland it's fairly dark as well so i'd be interested to see how the power uh if it's still got
02:14power
02:15and if it's been able to recharge itself with a little solar panel uh given those conditions
02:20and also of course the quality of the image um so i've just reached the spot where that camera is
02:26i
02:26haven't gone in front of it so i don't trigger it um but uh let me show you it's thankfully
02:33it's still
02:33there um that's the little camera put the phone out um it's the first camera in the list of cameras
02:43that i've got on the screen here called max um amazingly
02:53it looks like it's still got power so let's just connect to it unless that's just what it's
03:02remembering from before okay it seems to have fallen slightly sideways from where i left it so i don't
03:11know if somebody's something has pushed it over but we'll have a look at the gallery and see what it's
03:17recorded so that was me setting it up oh it looks as though it's a buffalo
03:36a buffalo has shoved it over
04:08so that's the buffalo shoving the camera aside
04:17okay what else is on there even if it's crooked
04:24that's a little badger
04:30what else
04:32uh that's the badger and i think that's me arriving now
04:39yeah that's me just arriving now okay so not too much the weather has been pretty grim
04:45okay so we'll go in further towards i've got another three cameras set up further in
04:50hopefully they won't have been disturbed by the uh by the buffalo either so bear with me
04:57okay so i'm at the other little camera which is also a solar powered one
05:05and let's just connect to this one i think let's see this one
05:14so it'd be interesting to see this is 2.7k video the other one is 4k
05:21so it'd be interesting to see the difference in quality
05:25uh and i wonder if you can actually tell with the night shots so we shall have a look let's
05:30see if
05:30this one recorded anything first of all okay this one has been undisturbed thankfully oh we've got a
05:39jackal come through
05:45oh and a squirrel
05:49which is great they had they're red squirrels here but they're um
05:53they're not a subspecies as i had originally thought because they're black here or very dark
06:00but they are dark morph red squirrels
06:04so the badger obviously came from the other one has followed the trail
06:07and has come past here as well
06:11okay so just a few shots on this one i'm going to leave this camera up
06:16let's download a couple just to compare the um the footage
06:22i'll do that and then we'll move on to the uh third and fourth cameras which are not wi-fi
06:28so i'll have to um open them up and have a look at the footage separately on those
06:34okay okay and this is the other one number three
06:39it's a badger
06:43a big light shot
06:51the badger
07:00oh and the buffalo again
07:05badger again badger again badger again
07:09that looked like a martin which it's missed most of badger again
07:23so this is obviously the root of the badger
07:29oh and i think a fox
07:35yeah that's it
07:39so this one
07:44is even further into the woodland
07:48it looks like it's a badger again in the distance there
07:53and that's me arriving now okay so not many at all on this one
07:58so i'll break this one down as well
08:01and i'll relocate see if i can get further down into the wood and relocate this one as well
08:07so i found a spot for the one of the two uh cameras that i changed location of on this
08:16uh
08:17bush down here and it's overlooking
08:20these paths i don't know if you can make them out on here
08:25there's a path that comes down past here and it branches off this side under that fallen tree
08:32and it branches off this way as well through the woodland around the back here and round
08:41further into the woodland
08:44so um i'll leave that in place for a little while and on my way out see if i can
08:51place the fourth
08:51camera because further on from here it gets a little bit too uh thick the undergrowth and i can't
08:57make get through it so uh we'll see found another trail which i don't know if you can make out
09:05it goes
09:06down past this big tree here and along here so we'll put a camera up on this tree
09:14facing this way which is into the woodland uh and see if it picks up anything
09:42so we'll get home have a look at the pictures from the uh the video from the new camera and
09:50uh check
09:50out the quality on that okay so um i brought the camera back uh from in where it was in
09:57the field
09:57um and as you can see it's absolutely tiny little thing um i really like the fact that it is
10:05um a
10:06small self-contained little unit um there's nothing to open up uh and faff around with um batteries
10:16and recharging batteries etc it's got its own internal uh lithium 6000 milliamp hour battery
10:23uh i think um which seems to hold the charge really really well um i left it in the field
10:32at 80 percent
10:34and bearing in mind that it was a miserable week um totally overcast for the whole week lots of rain
10:43and it was in a dark woodland and not only did it retain its power it actually uh recharged itself
10:49via the little solar panel here to 100 percent so that's pretty impressive comes in a little box
10:57and it has the manual and inside the manual you'll find a qr code that'll link you to the trail
11:08cam go
11:08app so that you can connect to it and manage all your settings there's a little belt as standard there's
11:17usb cable as well which i've actually got inside it and the standard little mounting kit that i think
11:24come with all of these cameras um so let me connect to it um so the app you need is
11:33the trail cam go if
11:35i click that you'll see um the two other cameras that i have connected to it so at the top
11:41right there's
11:41little plus sign which you hit and then just add device choose wi-fi camera uh ensure the camera
11:50is on which it is uh and click next okay um when you first connect to the camera it won't
12:01have a
12:01password um i think it's because i've previously connected to it it's asking for the password for
12:06so let me just enter that okay and this is where you can name it so it gives you a
12:20couple of uh ideas
12:22front yard backyard but i'm going to choose just the name of the camera max i'll just call it max
12:30confirm and there it is connected so if we click on that um tap on the icon so if we
12:39go to bottom right
12:40settings um there's the device information at the top date and time and all you need to do is click
12:49on
12:50the tap on the current camera time and it'll just sync to you to your phone um memory card um
12:59which i will
13:01format because i have downloaded those images now so it's ready for next time um mode so i've got it
13:13set
13:13to motion detection which is what you want uh period capture um i think means capturing
13:20between particular times of day and time lapse uh is self-explanatory
13:29so photo or video uh i choose video because that's pretty much what i like in terms of the trail
13:36cams
13:38i'm not really interested in the still images operating time i have it set to full time
13:43uh if you enable that you can choose between which times you want it to start so i shall disable
13:50that
13:50again um motion detection you can choose the sensitivity uh of the uh trigger and the interval
14:01between detection so i have it set to five seconds there but you can choose any any uh
14:06uh any interval you like security this is where you'd add your password and factory reset self-explanatory
14:17again so again at the bottom uh you have status next to settings where you can see all the uh
14:26setting
14:27uh levels status of the camera uh the gallery um i've just formatted it so there's nothing on there
14:36but that's where you would see all your recordings and camera and that gives you a live view so this
14:44i found to be really useful as well when setting it up because you can actually position the camera
14:54so that's it really um having downloaded the images um they are really really nice i have to say
15:01um but it's a fantastic little camera i think and i can thoroughly recommend it especially seeing
15:08as you won't have to faff around with uh double a batteries anymore um and um it's just fantastic
15:16because it's all self-contained um so it's pretty well weather sealed as well so very happy with this
15:23little camera i'll put the description um the details the links to it uh in the description below it will
15:30be an affiliate link so i will make a few pennies on your order but it won't make a difference
15:35to the
15:35price that you pay um and yeah any questions please drop them in the um comments below i hope you've
15:44found this useful thanks so much for watching and i'll see you again soon after now
16:19you
