00:01So today is Tuesday and it was last Friday when I came in to check on the
00:16camera after leaving it out for a week and that's when I recovered the the
00:23cards and the pictures changed out the batteries and then on Saturday without
00:32it being forecast this massive storm swept through and it brought down trees
00:41in the village and even on the track here and so I haven't been able to get here
00:51since then because of other commitments so I'm kind of worried that I will find my
01:01kit in pieces although there doesn't seem to be that much devastation visible in
01:08this part of the woodland so I might have gotten away with it we'll see in a second
01:24so just fight my way through the undergrowth here
01:37so many spiderwebs monster orb weavers that I don't really want to disturb their webs
01:57okay so there's some fallen branches here
02:01you can see my camera is there okay okay so one of the flash units has fallen
02:12the camera seems to be intact the sensor seems to be intact
02:18the trail cam is intact just one of the flash units has collapsed so I will check to see
02:26what's on everything if there's anything on the camera
02:30and depending I might I'll probably just leave it for another few days until Friday so that's what
02:37another four nights and then I'm going to try and relocate it find a position up on the mountain
02:45in the forest up there I'm going to try and find somewhere near water a waterfall or a stream or
02:54something and reposition it up there for a change of scene okay so let me just check on the camera

05:07and uh took everything home
05:11cleaned it all out fresh put fresh batteries in uh downloaded the cards as well uh in the event
05:18there was only uh it only recorded a badger again pretty similar pose to the last one
05:24a couple of shots of that and uh a few um uh false triggers uh and nothing other than that
05:34so yeah so i've
05:36come up to come up to come up to come up to come up to the mountain side here where
05:38i'm going to follow
05:39up to the mountain side here where i'm going to follow this trail uh which follows this beautiful
05:42stream in the hope of uh finding somewhere further up uh
05:50a little bit isolated uh

05:53where i have running water that would be my ideal
05:56because i would really love to capture a shot of an animal coming down to drink
06:01so that's the idea

09:49thorough a job as i can of camouflaging it i might even add a few more before i leave
09:56and because of the lack of mounting points of trees and things everything is on the tripod

10:02so i have the camera with forward facing flash i have the sensor looking forward and obviously the camera
10:11and then the other flashes on the other side of the boulder
10:16hopefully we'll add a little bit of backlighting
10:20to add a little bit of depth to the scene

10:26yeah that's the setup
10:29i shall be back in a week or so
10:31if not sooner if my anxiety doesn't get the better of me
