00:03Welcome back to the Hemp Cabin or THC for short. If you're new here, I'm Scarlett and we are a
00:09group of magical cannabis enthusiasts of legal age using legal products.
00:13Our meeting videos are more informational and our rituals videos are demonstrations and explanations of various ritual spells and potions
00:22that correspond with things like moon phases and holidays.
00:26If you prefer not smoking, that's fine. I recommend doing your favorite breathing exercise or just taking a few deep
00:32breaths.
00:34If you want to join THC, all you have to do is follow me here on Dailymotion and use the
00:40Reddit link in the description to request to join our subreddit.
00:44You must be 21 years or older to join THC.
00:48In order to begin our meeting, we must first cast a circle. There are many ways to do so.
00:54But what I like to do for our videos is imagine a sphere around me, take a hit and then
00:59imagine that sphere filling up with my smoke, cleansing and protecting me.
01:03And then we will invite the entities that we want to join us.
01:30The spirit of cannabis, I invoke you, Hekate, goddess of witchcraft, I invoke you.
01:35Eris, goddess of chaos and discord, I invoke you.
01:50For this week's meeting, we will be discussing the adaptability of witchcraft.
01:56A little while ago, I made a meeting video about how to add witchcraft to your daily life.
02:02And this video will kind of expand on that and focus on the adaptability of witchcraft.
02:11Witchcraft has been practiced for most, if not all of human history.
02:16Humans have always been experimenting and performing rituals.
02:21Witchcraft is not just spells and potions.
02:24It's learning, knowledge, power, connections, nature, science, and so much more.
02:32Almost anything could be considered witchcraft, but it is much more potent when you are aware of the magic, as
02:40we witches are.
02:42Many witches don't know that they are witches performing works of magic.
02:48If you want examples of that, I recommend the book Missing Witches by Risa Dickens and Amy Torek.
02:55It goes through various, it goes through the Sabbaths, and with each Sabbath, it goes through the life and works
03:06of certain witches throughout history.
03:09Most of them, many of them do not consider themselves to be witches, but they are.
03:17One of the key characteristics of witchcraft is adaptability.
03:22Performing pre-existing rituals can be fun and enlightening, but you do not have to.
03:28In fact, the more you personalize your witchcraft, the more potent the magic is.
03:34Customizing your witchcraft also ensures that the results will follow your specific intentions.
03:41Magic may not always have the results that you want, but your intended results are much more likely when you
03:49have very specific intentions and follow your intuition on how to perform the rituals.
03:56Witchcraft is practiced throughout the world under many different names and belief systems.
04:03Some call it superstition, some call it science, some call it activism, some call it religion, some call it culture,
04:10some call it tradition.
04:12Unlike most structured religions, witchcraft is deeply personal and adaptable.
04:17If you can't find the correct herbs for a pre-existing ritual, there's always at least one alternative.
04:24If you can't go outside, there are many ways to connect with nature from a comfortable seat indoors.
04:32If you can't do a ritualistic dance, you can still play the music and imagine yourself dancing.
04:40When performing witchcraft, it is important to acknowledge those who created and improved any pre-existing rituals.
04:47Cultural sensitivity is important.
04:50However, not everything that seems like cultural appropriation is bad.
04:56Taking on aspects of other cultures is how civilizations evolve and connect with each other.
05:03This is especially true for witches because something that may seem like appropriation may be just tapping into a previous
05:14life or your soul's origin.
05:17How can you tell the difference?
05:20Well, if you feel intensely drawn to a culture, belief system, entity, deity, location, or certain forms of magic, you
05:29may be tapping into a previous life or your soul's origin.
05:34However, it is important to acknowledge and appreciate those pre-existing traditions.
05:39And I'm going to take a tickety-toke because my back hurts.
05:57Any ritual spell or potion can be adjusted as you see fit.
06:03Because of this, many magic books will give you alternative options.
06:07They may suggest alternative herbs, stones, incense, locations, and more.
06:13Personally, I can't go outside very much, especially when the temperature is hot and the sun is shining brightly.
06:22However, I can still connect to nature and the outside world.
06:27And I can do this by calling on entities or deities, imagining roots growing from me down through the house
06:37and into the earth below.
06:39I can also use rainwater, fresh herbs, moon water, or moon honey.
06:47Or I can charge things on my altar or in windows.
06:53I can also harness the power of the moon and much more.
06:58You don't have to go to the woods or even go outside to connect with earth, nature, and space.
07:04Your altar, your windows, and your mind can connect with nature while indoors.
07:11Over time, rituals, entities, and even deities change and grow.
07:16Magic is always evolving and so are people.
07:20What feels right for you now may not feel quite the same next year.
07:24If you watch our rituals videos, you will see that I always add alternative options such as which herbs to
07:32add or which colored candles to add.
07:35I have a particular style of doing rituals and casting spells.
07:41But as you watch through the videos, you can see how that style has evolved and changed as I learn
07:49and grow.
07:49And that's actually why I still do rituals videos for every full moon, new moon, and Sabbath.
07:57Because I did go through a whole year of that.
08:01And I think that just revisiting every single year, especially as witches, you can learn so much.
08:10And you can see the differences and the improvements over time.
08:15This year's video may be different from last year's video.
08:20As we learn and grow, our magical practice evolves and adaptations are made.
08:26The point is not to aim for exact replication.
08:31The point is to make your magic as customized and specific to you as possible.
08:38And that's all I have for this week's meeting.
08:41Please let me know your questions and insights in the comments
08:44and I'll respond to the best of my abilities.
08:47Now let's dissolve our circle and thank the entities that joined us.

08:56Thank you, Hekate.
08:58Thank you, Eris.
