00:10oh this hat doesn't fit over this wig welcome back to the hemp coven or THC for
00:16short if you're new here i'm scarlet and we are a group of magical cannabis enthusiasts
00:21of legal age using legal products our meeting videos are more informational and our rituals
00:27videos are demonstrations and explanations of various rituals spells and potions that correspond
00:34with things like moon phases and holidays if you prefer not smoking that's fine i recommend
00:39doing your favorite breathing exercise or just taking a few deep breaths in order to join the
00:45hemp coven all you have to do is use the reddit link in the description to request to join our
00:50subreddit you must request to join because you must be 21 years or older to join THC
00:56in order to begin our meeting we must first cast a circle there are many ways to do so
01:02but what i like to do for our videos is imagine a sphere around me take a hit and then
01:07imagine that
01:08sphere filling up with my smoke grinning and protecting me and then we will invite the entities that we want
01:34the spirit of cannabis i invoke you dionysus god of altered mind states and festivities i invoke you
01:43hekate goddess of witchcraft and liminal spaces i invoke you apollo god of oracles i invoke you
01:51hesia goddess of hearth and home i invoke you persephone queen of the underworld i invoke you
01:58hades king of the underworld i invoke you demeter goddess of harvest i invoke you
02:04heiress goddess of chaos and discord i invoke you
02:21happy halloween and blessed samwen since halloween falls on a friday this year we're doing our
02:29halloween meeting today halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays and i'm sure that's
02:35true for many of you as well there are so many fun things to do for and on halloween but
02:41since we're
02:42a coven of magical people we will focus on one of the most magical halloween activities and that is
02:50elaborate rituals and in celebration of halloween i am wearing my oogie boogie costume which is
02:58one of the two costumes i made this year i actually bought the dress and hat but i attached these
03:08glow bugs
03:11with ribbon elaborate rituals are both powerful and fun you can go as big or as small as you want
03:19but as always i recommend letting your intuition guide you there are many things to consider when
03:28creating an elaborate ritual and i will try my best to mention everything but if you know of anything
03:34i missed please put them in the comments or in our subreddit now let's get started number one intentions
03:43as with any ritual you must begin by setting intentions what do you want this ritual to do are you
03:51celebrating samwen are you welcoming winter are you preparing for winter are you saying goodbye to
03:58autumn are you celebrating your harvest are you celebrating harvest season are you offering appreciation
04:06gratitude and gratitude is this a divination ritual will you be inviting deities or entities will you be inviting guides
04:18or ancestors
04:20are you intending to manifest something will this be a ritual of rebirth or new beginnings will this be a
04:29ritual
04:30you will focus on death or hibernation will you be casting spells will you be brewing potions
04:37do you want to incorporate astral travel into your ritual will you be making or breaking spirit contracts will
04:46you be renewing your dedication to your witchcraft or other beings will you be setting intentions for the winter
04:56will you reenact a journey such as the descent to the underworld many people like to reenact inana or
05:05persephone's descent to the underworld for halloweed or samwen
05:13i swear this hat is not gonna last long but we're gonna try will this ritual focus on inner work
05:21will it
05:21focus on shadow work make your intentions as detailed as possible and i recommend writing
05:28them down in your grimoire if you plan to work with any deities entities or spirits i recommend asking
05:35their opinions as well this hat is just barely too small for this wig and it's driving me crazy it
05:47keeps
05:47slipping anyways number two set the scene now that your intentions are clear it's time to select and
05:57set up the location for your ritual this may include rearranging your altars setting up a fire pit arranging
06:06seating and more what kind of audio do you want this ritual to have chanting ambient sounds in the
06:14background background background music frequencies instruments played by participants the sounds of
06:21nature around you singing and more will you need a safe place for a fire will this ritual include
06:30standing sitting kneeling laying dancing or other forms of movement do you want to set up spaces for
06:38entities deities or spirits to sit during the ritual will you need to add things for comfort such as
06:46pillows blankets and cushions will you be drawing on the ground and if so with what a lot of witches
06:54like to use things like salt to draw circles on the ground once you have a clear idea of what
07:01you need to
07:01turn your selected space into a ritual space the first thing you need to do is clean and cleanse your
07:08space you want this space to be as clean as possible and you want to cleanse it of all previous
07:16energies
07:17so that it can be fully devoted to your ritual since this is the hemp coven i recommend cleansing your
07:25space with smoke but there are many other methods then set up your space and make sure to have
07:32contingency plans in case something like weather or power outages cause issues number three is glamour
07:41magic which i have done obviously elaborate rituals often require some form of glamour magic this can be
07:50things like wearing a mask or a costume or putting on makeup that matches the ritual's themes this is
07:59where the tradition of wearing costumes and ritual attire comes in many magical traditions include special
08:07attire in their larger rituals for example cults of dionysus were led by both priests and priestesses
08:16and they would dawn a mask of dionysus during their larger rituals for this meeting video i'm wearing my
08:24oogie boogie costume as i mentioned but for the other two halloween videos i'm making i will be wearing my
08:33hades costume and the other videos are going to be a rituals video for october's full moon and
08:42a rituals video for halloween specifically this hades costume started with the female version of disney's
08:52portrayal of hades and then i added various elements of the real hades to make it more than just cosplay
09:03it is now ritual attire for special rituals that revolve around hades or the underworld
09:11i have infused the biden and crown with magic and i can't wait to use them for the rituals to
09:18come
09:18if you can't put that much effort and time into creating ritual attire you can always search your
09:25closet for something particularly suited for your ritual try a different style of makeup than usual
09:32or maybe buy a costume or buy clothing items and accessories that have the right vibe for your
09:41rituals anything can become ritual attire all you need to do is clean it cleanse it and infuse it with
09:50your intentions and magic number four is to prepare sacrificial items sacrifices can be many things
10:00and offering them can be performed in many ways a sacrifice is a gift to an enemy deity spirit or
10:08other being
10:08or force sacrifices can be food herbs moon water moon oil moon honey certain objects incense smoke
10:19cannabis smoke fire certain beverages stones rain water pieces of paper with something written on them and
10:27more you can ritualistically burn herbs or incense you can blow smoke over your altar you can blow smoke
10:36over your altar a fire or something that represents the recipient if you plan to sacrifice food make sure
10:45that it is safe for any creature that may try to consume it or make sure that it is safely
10:52away from such
10:54creatures number five is magical first aid elaborate rituals can take a lot of energy focus effort and
11:04often a lot of movement or stillness and it is important to keep a few key items on hand for
11:11your comfort
11:11and protection first you want to cover the basic physical needs of participants such as food beverages and extra
11:20cushions maybe tissues if it's going to be a particularly emotional ritual or maybe a towel if it's going to
11:30be
11:30a really sweaty movement kind of ritual next you should prepare for the spiritual needs the two main spiritual
11:38needs to prepare for are the needs for grounding and protection it's always best to start any ritual with
11:47grounding and protection this can be as simple as casting a circle like we do at the beginning of our
11:53videos
11:53you can also wear or hold specific items that provide grounding or protection such as a stone burning certain
12:02incense or herbs can be used for both grounding and protection i'm sure we've all seen a sage bundle before
12:10of course since this is the hemp coven i also recommend using your cannabis smoke
12:19make sure that you have the right items for whatever emergency may occur such as water to put out a
12:27fire
12:28no matter how careful you are it's always good to have a backup plan number six is to prepare your
12:35ritual
12:36ritual tools now it is time to prepare the various tools and items that you will be using in your
12:42ritual this can be wands cauldrons candles sacrificial dishes moon water or oil for anointing statues or
12:52other items that represent various beings and things blood or something to represent it pictures blades orbs and
13:02more if you plan to incorporate cannabis into your rituals don't forget to prepare your chosen smoking
13:10method i recommend preparing many reloads because you might not know how much you'll consume until
13:18you're done with the ritual anything used in your ritual is a magical tool and it's best to clean and
13:26cleanse them prior to the ritual unless that is part of the ritual
13:33hat's driving me crazy number seven multiple checks as someone with lifelong memory issues i highly recommend
13:41thoroughly checking all of your preparations to make sure that you have everything you need to perform the ritual
13:48as you intended along with various precautions for possible adjustments
13:54there have been several times where i got ready for a ritual or a rituals video only to realize halfway
14:02through the ritual that i completely forgot something that's very important even if you have no memory loss it's
14:09still best to check your preparations multiple times you might even think of more to add to your ritual as
14:17your check-in now you're ready to create your own elaborate rituals let me know your thoughts and
14:24insights in the comments also don't forget to share your rituals in our subreddit with the post flare
14:31witchcraft in action that is all that i have for this year's halloween meeting i hope that you have a
14:39magnificently
14:40magical and spooky halloween now it's time to thank the entities that joined us and dissolve our circle
14:49like everything is following my glasses my hat
14:55thank you thank you spirit of cannabis thank you dionysus thank you hekate thank you apollo thank you
15:03hestia thank you persephone thank you hades thank you demeter thank you heiress i treasure our time
