00:05So we always like to start the crazy driver videos with a few phone zombies because they are bound.
00:10We can't go out on the road without seeing phone zombies.
00:14It's just becoming more and more common. It's the norm now.
00:17It's illegal and you do get penalties for doing it, but they sit and stare at their phone.
00:21Watch this guy, he misses the green light.
00:23Everybody else takes off, he's too busy on his phone.
00:26They report every year, they report how many people die because of people staring at their phones while they're driving
00:32in Japan.
00:34And people just don't seem to care.
00:36These two guys sitting side by side, both of them on the phone.
00:41Just unnecessary, isn't it?
00:43I mean, what's that important?
00:46Truck drivers are the scariest, driving around with the truck in one hand and the phone in the other.
00:51Or sometimes the phone in one hand and a vape in the other.
00:55How are you driving that truck?
00:58Really scary.
00:59Seeing one of those behind you or coming towards you.
01:02In this case, coming towards us.
01:04It's really scary.
01:06Just put it down.
01:07They're just not...
01:08As you can see, they do get penalties for doing it occasionally, but it's so uncommon to get a penalty
01:13that they just don't worry about it.
01:15And then speeding.
01:16The truck drivers are scary, scary.
01:19Speeding around the place really fast, cutting in and out of traffic.
01:22Driving way too close to the cars in front, as we've showed you before.
01:27That's scary too.
01:28Look in your rear vision mirror.
01:29By the way, we're doing the speed limit.
01:31We always travel around at the speed limit.
01:34And we're not going any slower than that.
01:36And have a look at that truck disappearing in the distance.
01:38And this one, in the rain.
01:40Right up the tail of somebody in front of him.
01:44So, like we say, we show you anything and everything about Japan.
01:47Well, this is what we see every day.
01:50Have a look at this.
01:51This is unusual.
01:52We've never seen this before.
01:53This is a railway underpass.
01:56So, we're passing it underneath the railway line.
01:57And that yellow thing there is just to show you the height of the railway bridge.
02:02See the big green thing?
02:03How many tonne do you reckon that must weigh?
02:06See the truck that it's come off?
02:07So, he's hit that yellow structure.
02:10And that huge, heavy steel thing has come straight off the back of his truck.
02:16And landed vertically and stayed there.
02:19Right?
02:20How much would that weigh?
02:22So, how lucky is that?
02:24That it didn't fall over on a car or come off the back and land on a car?
02:29Because how many tonne would this way?
02:31Have a look at it.
02:34Unbelievable.
02:34It had just happened.
02:36As we went past his truck, the police came the other way with their sirens going.
02:40They probably would have closed the road because that was a pretty dangerous balance there like that, wasn't it?

02:49Oh, this one drives us nuts.
02:50It's the kids climbing all over the inside of the car.
02:53We have friends who let their kids do this.
02:55And I've said to one of them before, does he wear a seatbelt?
02:58Oh, he doesn't like to wear a seatbelt.
03:00He doesn't like to wear a seatbelt, so he doesn't have to.
03:03Lots of responsible motorcyclists in Japan, but lots of ones that aren't.

03:12They see the other light the other way go green.
03:14So, off they go.

03:17So, off they go.
03:18Jumping red lights.
03:19They do it all the time.
03:20Cutting in and out of lanes.
03:22Cutting in and out of cars.
03:25Driving too fast.
03:27Driving too close to the vehicles.
03:29If you're a copper in Japan, it would be so easy.
03:32You could be riding one ticket after another if you wanted to.
03:35We've seen them do it.
03:35They'll sit on an intersection for a couple of minutes.
03:38There goes another one through a red light.
03:41So, when they do decide to catch someone, they can.
03:44So, this motorcycle cop was just sitting in the side street, and along came a dude there on his bike,
03:51weaving in and out of the cars, and then stopped out there on the pedestrian crossing, instead of stopping behind
03:57the white line.
03:58And the cop had just been sitting in the side street for 30 seconds, and he came out and gave
04:03the guy a ticket.
04:03It would just be too easy.
04:04If you're into riding traffic tickets, if you're a copper and you're into riding traffic tickets, it would be too
04:10easy.
04:11This is what we see every day.
04:13Except that steel thing.
04:14I haven't seen that before.
04:15But car accidents as well.
04:17This intersection.
04:19We see accidents on this intersection all the time.
04:22So, a couple of clowns have come together on the intersection there.
04:26No one was hurt, but the cars were pretty badly smashed up.
04:31Anyway, that was today in Japan.
