00:00George Pickens, despite not having a new contract, is reporting to the Dallas Cowboys.
00:05There's a lot of uncertainty as to what his future could potentially be. Of course,
00:09the franchise tag is involved. Pickens had what I would say was a strange, uneven year. He looked
00:15like the best receiver in the NFL for a few weeks. Joe with Dallas and then couldn't catch the ball
00:20for a couple of weeks. You know, look, this is what receivers are. They're sort of mercurial.
00:25I think that's the word to use. He wants to get paid. He probably should. I would say that if
00:30he
00:30has a consistent 16, 17 game season, he's a top five receiver in the NFL. He showed that over a
00:35period of time last year, but that is the issue. No team wants to invest huge money on a guy
00:41when
00:41you don't know what he's going to give you for 17 games. Yeah, but it's also not like under the
00:47franchise tag he's playing for free. So, you know, he is going to make a wonderful chunk of change.
00:54And he, you know, again, he happens to be on a team that, well, they certainly is even the number
01:02one receiver on his team is my question. So that's the whole thing with him. Sure. He's got all the
01:08skills in the world, but I'll say it again. Wide receivers do not make quarterbacks. Quarterbacks
01:15make wide receivers. So it's an interesting spot he's in, but he is going to get paid a boatload of
01:22money under the franchise tag this year for him.
