00:00Eagle fan, would you trade A.J. Brown to New England for a second-round pick and a fifth-round
00:07pick
00:07and shed that humongous salary that he's got coming his way?
00:12I say, yes, sir.
00:16Yeah, I say no.
00:17I say no.
00:18A.J. Brown has indicated, now that they've made changes to the offense with basically the whole staff,
00:24that he wants to stay.
00:25He said that before or after he was rocking the New York Giants t-shirt last weekend.
00:29What do you mean after?
00:30That was after?
00:30Yeah.
00:31He said that after?
00:32Yeah.
00:32Because it seems weird that an Eagle player would wear a Giants shirt.
00:36Yeah, he's crazy.
00:37Yeah, so it was the trade to the Giants.
00:39No, it's not.
00:39Oh, right.
00:40So, like I said, I believe, no.
00:42Now, if push comes to shove and he must be traded closer to the draft,
00:47I feel like a second and a fifth is a good return for him.
00:51But, for now, I say nothing for A.J. Brown.
00:54A.J. Brown returns as they try to win a Super Bowl.
00:58So, you're not.
00:58It's just interesting.
00:59Let's attack it from a couple different angles, right?
01:02The first angle is, from an Eagle fan perspective, are you done with A.J. Brown's nonsense?
01:07And when I say nonsense, he's still a great wide receiver.
01:11I'm talking sideline stuff, off the field stuff, not that he's ever broken the law.
01:17Just like, you know, there's always something going on, it seems like, with him.
01:19He goes on Twitch during the week and rips the coaching staff and stuff.
01:22And locker room stuff.
01:23Yeah.
01:24So, I guess the first question has to be, if you're a diehard Eagle fan, have you had enough
01:29of A.J. Brown?
01:30Yeah.
01:31Wide receivers are crazy.
01:32Also, you have to grade everything on the T.O. curve.
01:35Okay.
01:36And compare it to doing sit-ups in the driveway.
01:39Yeah, but he looked good.
01:39He was ripped.
01:40Yeah, he was ripped.
01:40But this is nothing.
01:42So, maybe if I was from a different city, but relative to Philadelphia, this is mild.
01:46Okay, he's a $23 million cap hit next year, which is a lot of money, but we've seen guys,
01:52obviously, and usually quarterbacks, that are bigger in cap hits than this.
01:56But here's the thing I don't get.
01:58If you're an Eagle fan, is he a pain in the ass?
02:00Yes, he's a pain in the ass.
02:01Well-documented pain in the ass, right?
02:04But he's also a top 10 wide receiver, maybe better than that, in the NFL.
02:09And you don't find guys like that that easily.
02:13I know we live in an era now where the NFL is dominated by great wide receivers.
02:19They're still not easy to find, and especially when you look at his production year in and
02:26year out, and this was the year where the offense was not great as compared to the year
02:30before, I don't get rid of guys that can play at his level.
02:34And I know Eagle fans are kind of maybe 50-50 on him, like is the juice worth the squeeze?
02:40I think it is with A.J. Brown, because I honestly don't think A.J. Brown is a bad guy.
02:47I think A.J. Brown has some mental health stuff during games, like a lot of wide receivers do.
02:53I think there are times where A.J. Brown can't help himself.
02:57But I think it is core.
02:59I think A.J. Brown is probably A, a good dude, and B, if you're the Eagles and you trade
03:06him
03:06for a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick to New England, how do you replace him?
03:12Exactly.
03:13And that's my concern about it.
