00:01Edit Site Profile – Flags tab
00:04The top section of the Flags tab refers to all credit cards that you are willing to accept for payment
00:10at your property.
00:11Please read through the list and tick all applicable payment mediums.
00:16From a customer perspective, you can see the cards list here in icon format on the guest details page.
00:25The second section within the Flags tab, Hotel Flags, again refers to a number of actions that are applicable to
00:32the guest details page.
00:34Let's go through each of the options.
00:36The first one, Hide T&C by default, is something that we touched on earlier in the Edit Site Profile
00:43training.
00:44By selecting Hide T&C by default, when a shopper lands on the guest details page,
00:50these terms and conditions that we are currently seeing will not be displayed.
00:55They will land on a page that looks like this.
00:58The shopper would need to select terms and conditions from the Summary box on the right hand side
01:03to then view those applicable terms and conditions.
01:07Please think about how you wish to display terms and conditions on the details page for your particular property.
01:14If you choose to hide them, please tick this box within Hotel Flags.
01:19The second two options, How did you hear and Purpose of Stay, are pick lists that you can add to
01:25your guest detail page.
01:28How did you hear about us and Purpose of Stay.
01:32As you can see, there are a number of different options that fall out within the pick list.
01:37You have full control over these boxes and you can fully customise what your entries are going to return.
01:44That would be set within the Avio CRM.
01:47If you wish to put either of these options live, we can talk through how you can set the display
01:53if you do not go with the default options which we are currently seeing here.
02:00Above these two boxes, How did you hear and Purpose of Stay, you will see a Company Name box and
02:06a Voucher Code box.
02:07Again, both of these are turned on by ticking Ask for Company Name or Ask for Voucher Number in the
02:14Hotel Flags.
02:17Voucher Code. You would only turn this on if you were using the Avio Voucher module.
02:23Please bear in mind that this doesn't redeem the applicable voucher at time of reservation.
02:29It is more of a prompt for you at property level to let you know that this guest has this
02:35voucher
02:35and does intend to use it against their stay.
02:38The Company Name box is Free Text.
02:41You would use this if you are trying to collate data for your corporates or build up a corporate database.
02:47Please bear in mind that everything you see here, you can run a report upon from within Avio Insights.
02:54Insights is Avio's ad hoc reporting module.
02:57My suggestion would be that unless you actively intend to utilise any of the data here,
03:03you do not have those boxes displayed on your booking engine.
03:07If you don't ever intend to run reports on the How did you hear about us box or Purpose of
03:11Stay box
03:12and do anything with that information, you're just building out your guest details page
03:17and it's just more options that a guest must read through.
03:20That bear in mind, none of this additional information section is mandatory.
03:25So even if you do choose to display them,
03:27it is up to the guest to decide if they wish to give you that type of information.
03:35Disable consumer reservation email.
03:38Ticking this would ensure that all Avio emails do not go.
03:43As mentioned previously, Avio send a confirmation email when a booking is made.
03:48We also send a pre-stay email and a post-stay email to anybody staying at your property.
03:54The pre- and post-stay email are fully customisable and we can work with you on the content of
03:58both.
03:59If you were using a third party to send those email touch points from,
04:04only at this point would you tick disabled consumer reservation email from within Avio.
04:08As you don't want your guests getting an Avio email and a separate email that you have sent out from
04:14your third party system.
04:17Share bookings on social media.
04:20If you tick this box, the option appears when a guest completes their reservation.
04:25When a guest is on the details page, enters all their details, payment options, etc.
04:31and hits complete booking, this screen auto redirects to a confirmation screen.
04:35They also get the confirmation email.
04:38On that confirmation screen, there is an option asking the guest if they would like to share their bookings on
04:44social media.
04:45Channels include Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter.
04:48It doesn't share particulars of a reservation, so it would never say X guest intends to stay on certain dates
04:54or maybe potentially what type of room or rate they have booked.
04:57But it will just share on my Facebook page, for instance, your name and Facebook page detail.
05:06It's a form of free advertising.
05:08But again, even if you do enable it, it's up to a guest opt in if they actually wish to
05:12share that information.
05:14On mass promo inputs.
05:16This is a pretty straightforward field.
05:18This means that on Avio, where we ask for promo codes or discount policies, for instance,
05:24instead of as a guest types in that particular password, they see the asterisk sign,
05:29they would actually be returned the numbers, symbols or letters that they are typing in.
05:35Noor 1.
05:36You will know yourself if you are using the Noor 1 integration.
05:40If it's not something you are using, please ignore these boxes and leave it blank.
05:44If you are working with Noor 1 and wish to integrate, please speak to your e-commerce manager or PMO
05:49officer.
05:57Since this tab was originally recorded, a few new inclusions have been added to the hotel flags section,
06:04which we will now take a look at.
06:07The first one is the ability to disable the consumer cancellation email.
06:13Ticking this works in exactly the same way as it does when you ticked the disabled consumer reservation email,
06:21but for the cancellation confirmation that a guest would receive.
06:26If a guest makes a booking that they then cancel on the front end of the system,
06:31they will not get an email confirming that cancellation sent out to them via Avio if this option is selected.
06:40You would only tick this if that email is going to go from a third party instead.
06:48Another new inclusion is the ability to enable email address confirmation.
06:53This works on the guest details page.
06:59You will note here there are two boxes where your email must be entered.
07:05This is a security blanket whereby both emails entered will be cross-checked to ensure that there is no discrepancy
07:13in spelling.
07:16Finally, we added a field to display voucher hint on booking engine.
07:23This option was added in response to COVID-19, where a number of properties had to close their hotels indefinitely.
07:33To set display voucher hint on booking engine, you tick it here from within the hotel flags
07:39and on the front end of the system, you will now get this message appearing.
07:45It appears at the top of the booking path as normal with your rates underneath,
07:49your closed user group if you're using it, and you can still show, as you can see here, your list
07:56timed announcements.
07:57But this allows a voucher hint to potentially appear at the top of the booking path at a time like
08:04when hotels are impacted by COVID-19
08:07or potentially around high voucher sales season, such as Christmas potentially, or Black Friday, where we tend to see a
08:17surge in voucher sales.
08:19If you want to promote those from within the booking path, you could enable the hint to appear here.
08:26The text that appears here is set by default, but this can change should it be used for alternate situations.
08:35That wraps up the new inclusions and the hotel flag section.
08:39Go to do it again.
08:41All right.
08:42This can be used in its locations.
