00:00:07and this brings us into the overview so when you log in to carton house you'll

00:00:14see something very similar to this this is the you'll see the your nav up here

00:00:19so you've got your booking engine so if you make any changes to the site you

00:00:23need to go to CMS here go to CMS here and this will bring you to the overview

00:00:27just the overview page here so this is just like a little bit now sorry yeah

00:00:34yeah so this is the overview page here so you've got them it just gives you an

00:00:38overview of what's on the site so you've got your header menu you don't have any

00:00:42or anything in there at the moment and you've got me in menu so if I open this

00:00:47up in a new tab I just clicked on home there you can see here this is the main

00:00:51menu here so you've got home you come to hotel paint club you got offers gallery

00:00:56rooms so that that bar there that's the main menu and that's what's showing on

00:01:00the overview so if we go back to the overview now you can see there's home

00:01:04there's offers gallery so that's the exact same as what was on the home page and

00:01:09you can see here it says home here and it's tabbed in after that it has the

00:01:14hotel so that represents a drop-down and you can see the hotel has another drop

00:01:19another sub nav within that as well so so if it's tabbed in in under one of these it

00:01:24just represents a drop down so if I show you that on the front end so there's

00:01:28home if I hover over it see there's a drop down and there's another sub nav

00:01:31there sorry the screen's just a bit delayed it's only changing there now yeah

00:01:34yeah okay there it is there okay so so that's what that represents there so if I

00:01:42you can hit this minus item here this will close the main menu it'll just close it

00:01:45up there you can see you've got your footer menu so the footer menu shows at the

00:01:49bottom of the of the website so you've got modify your booking careers blog if we just

00:01:56go to the front end I'll just scroll down to the bottom you can see here's your your

00:02:02footer menu there so that's in the overview there yeah we go back here now again you can

00:02:08see there's other things here so if we keep scrolling down you see you've got golf main menu

00:02:12so you've got a golf microsite so a microsite is a it's just it's it's the same style as your

00:02:20website but it's just got a it's got different colors so it's a microsite for the golf so you

00:02:24can see the golf microsite has green throughout it and it's got a different look and feel but

00:02:29it's the same website as well but it that's your golf microsite so the golf microsite has its

00:02:35own main menu and that's it there so it's different from what's on the on the domain website hotel so

00:02:43that's that there and so if we hit the minus on that you can see it's got a footer as

00:02:48well but

00:02:49it's not being used at the moment there's not in under that it's probably using the footer from the

00:02:55main site so at the bottom of the overview page you've got these standalone pages here so these are just

00:03:05pages that aren't in the nav so they're standalone pages so they're not linked to the nav so that means

00:03:09they're not in the main menu or the footers or the golf main menu or the golf footer or anything

00:03:14like that

00:03:14these are just standalone pages so it's a barbecue page so it's not on the site right now

00:03:21so so the unless the customer has a link to this page they won't be able to see it it's

00:03:27not on the on the main menus of the site so that's the

00:03:32and could they navigate through the site to find anything that would direct them to it or it would

00:03:36have to be like an email with a link or something um well they the link could be throughout on

00:03:41the

00:03:41site in the content or something like that so maybe maybe it's the golf membership page or something like

00:03:47that here um it doesn't necessarily have to be in the main menu and they could probably if they if

00:03:53they

00:03:53they google it maybe body treatments comes up in google or something like that like carton house body

00:03:58treatments that might come up there but um you can see here there's offline pages so if you don't

00:04:02want them to find it at all you can just put a page to offline okay well okay so we'll

00:04:07just scroll

00:04:07back up to the top and we'll stay in the main menu so i'll open this up now again and

00:04:12uh you can see

00:04:13so um just uh there's a search box here so as you can see there's quite a lot of pages

00:04:18so if you're

00:04:19looking for a page maybe the barbecue page so bbq you can put it into the search box there and

00:04:23it just

00:04:24filters out all the all the pages with uh barbecue in it so you've got group barbecues in it's in

00:04:30uh

00:04:31it's up there at the top there that means it's in the main menu somewhere and you can see the

00:04:35the

00:04:35other three are standalone pages so they're not in the domain menu or or the main nav yeah throughout

00:04:42the site so that's handy so if you're looking for rooms you can just type in rooms or something like

00:04:48use that search box there okay so we'll just go we'll just go through uh uh the header fields of

00:04:56the uh overview so you navigation title is here so you've got home you've got the hotel so that's what's

00:05:02shown to the uh customer when they view your site so you've got that's um i'll just scroll up here

00:05:08uh

00:05:09that's the home and the hotel that's the navigation title there if we go to the hotel page and we

00:05:16just

00:05:16go back to overview the next heading is the file name so you can see file name is index.html

00:05:21or the

00:05:21hotel.html and you can see they're all kind of they're lower so we'd recommend having the when

00:05:27you're creating a new page make the file name lowercase uh it's just uh best practice and if

00:05:33there's any spaces just kind of put a dash in between of no spaces in between them so uh the

00:05:39file name

00:05:39shows in the url up here at the top there so you can see the hotel the hotel dot uh

00:05:46html so that's

00:05:47where the file name shows there uh if we go back to the overview now again you've got page here

00:05:53so

00:05:53these are your page properties so if you need to make a change to any of um any of these

00:05:57um pages uh

00:05:58nine times out of ten it's in the page properties so i'll go into that in a little bit more

00:06:02detail but

00:06:03if you need to access any of these pages say the gallery page properties you just click on page

00:06:07properties and that'll take you into the page properties of that page uh the next one is

00:06:13status so status is you can see a lot of these are live right now so you can see um

00:06:17yeah it's live

00:06:19so one is offline there guest reviews it's probably uh been removed so um so you can see if you

00:06:25want to

00:06:26take any of these pages offline so if i just scroll down to the standalone pages i don't want to

00:06:30take

00:06:30any that's live right now so say you want to remove the you want to take the 72 hour january

00:06:36sale

00:06:36offline uh you just click on it there and you get this little pop-up and say do you really

00:06:41want to

00:06:41change this to offline with click change and it brings you into the offline pages here so these

00:06:47are all the offline pages uh on the site and you can see that that's where that is there it's

00:06:52um

00:06:53in the left-hand panel so offline pages there so if we go back to overview

00:06:59and we'll just scroll down i'll put that page back live now again

00:07:02so you could you could have put it back live back in the offline pages uh page if you want

00:07:07to

00:07:07but you can also just click on the the red link here again it's very similar pop-up and we'll

00:07:12just

00:07:12change it to live and it changes live then and it kind of brings it back up to the top

00:07:16so that's just

00:07:17putting a page um uh live or offline or offline on the on the site so the next one is

00:07:27layout so there's

00:07:27a couple of different layouts with your site so if i just close these off here you can see you've

00:07:32got

00:07:32quickbook image sequencer i'm going to open that in a new tab um you've got quickbook on its own open

00:07:38that in a new tab as well uh you've got gallery tile here open it in new tabs all and

00:07:44we'll just scroll

00:07:45down and i'll have a view normally there's around four of them there's quickbook iframe here so i'll

00:07:53open that in a new tab as well so i think that should be all of them i'll just have

00:07:58a quick look

00:07:59down through all of these i don't see anything different so that's the four that layouts that

00:08:04are available on the site so you quickbook image sequencer so if i look at that this is quickbook image

00:08:10sequencer layout so the quickbook is this um booking widget over here we call it the quickbook here in

00:08:15avio so that that's that box there uh where you can you can book the site uh so it's a

00:08:21quickbook and

00:08:22it's got an image sequencer it's got this big image here that slides through so you've got three images

00:08:26on at the moment so that's the that's the first layout quickbook image sequencer okay i can you set

00:08:34the frequency on how often they change um i think it's a set time on how how quickly they change

00:08:41but

00:08:42um there's three in there at moment at the moment i think you have a max of six in there

00:08:47all right

00:08:50okay yeah and i'll show you how to add images to that now in a bit when we create a

00:08:55new page

00:08:55um so the second layout i think it would it's um if we look at it here it's quickbook just

00:09:00quickbook layout

00:09:01on its own so you can see it's just got the quick book here in this bar here and it's

00:09:06got a content

00:09:07area so you can see there's no picture big picture on this page it's just kind of a minimum a

00:09:12minimal

00:09:13page but that just displays content or any widgets you want to add to this page so that's just a

00:09:18quick

00:09:18book layout okay so the next one is the gallery layout i think so did i click on the right

00:09:28one i think

00:09:30i did so if we click view gallery here you can see this is a gallery layout here you can

00:09:35see uh it just

00:09:36displays all the images and you can click into them and open them up in a big screen there um

00:09:41the last

00:09:42layout was quickbook iframe so you can see you've got the quick book here again it's the same old position

00:09:47but it's got an iframe so the iframe in this case is a map so it's just got a map

00:09:52to your um to your

00:09:53website there so that's quickbook iframe so you can put maps in the iframe space here so that's your

00:09:59four layouts so they're just kind of the four layouts up top um so if you were create say you

00:10:05were creating a page and you wanted a page to look that looked exactly like this uh it's a quick

00:10:11book

00:10:12um layout uh just on its own oh no um yeah just quick book on its own what you would

00:10:17do you go to

00:10:18the overview you'd find that page here so it's the contact page here and you click clone here so that's

00:10:25how

00:10:25you would make a new page so what you do you find the page you want it to look like

00:10:29and you just click

00:10:30clone and it will create a new version of it for you there so um that's the layout there and

00:10:35as i

00:10:35spoke there clone is the next one so you can click the clone um link here to clone any page

00:10:41on the site

00:10:42and that's how you make new pages on the on the site i'll show you that it will automatically be

00:10:48live

00:10:51no so if i if i just clone the home page there just a second you get brought to this

00:10:55ad page here

00:10:56and you can set the status to live or offline if you want to but um again like if you're

00:11:03not adding

00:11:03it to the nav there's probably no harm in having it live because nobody knows that i think but if

00:11:08you

00:11:08want to just make sure it's not in the site anywhere while you're working on it you can always just

00:11:13put it

00:11:13offline and then when it's ready put it live and then add it to the nav and by changing the

00:11:19file

00:11:19name at the top there that will edit the url so it wouldn't have the same url as the page

00:11:23you cloned

00:11:23yes yeah so you're just cloning the parameters of the page you're the one you clone so you're just

00:11:29making a brand new page with the exact same layout kind of in a way okay so you can copy

00:11:33everything

00:11:34that's on the page and uh and then kind of take away what you don't want just and make a

00:11:39brand new

00:11:39page in a way i'll show you that when we're cloning a page in a little bit as well

00:11:42so i'll just cancel that for now and we'll go back to the overview here okay so the next heading

00:11:49here is type so you um for the most of these up here it's standard so that's standard is the

00:11:54main

00:11:54site but if i scroll down to the golf microsite you can see the type is golf so uh that's

00:12:02how you know

00:12:02what type of uh if it's a if it's a golf microsite it will have golf beside it here okay

00:12:08so that's just the

00:12:11type

00:12:13we'll scroll up here now so if you notice the last one here is hashtag i so it means number

00:12:20of image

00:12:20sequencers so you can see there's a tree here and if there's a number here uh in this column it

00:12:26means

00:12:26that page is using the default image sequencer images so you can see on the home page here um

00:12:33um sorry i said that wrong um if there's a number here it means uh this page is using its

00:12:40own image

00:12:41sequencers uh if if that makes sense if there's no number it means it's using the default image

00:12:46sequencer so if you remember the image sequencer is this big image here so um because there's a

00:12:52a number on it in the overview that means on the home page right now it's using its own um

00:12:58images for

00:12:59that page but if it wasn't using um if it wasn't using uh these images it would be using the

00:13:05default

00:13:05ones uh does that make sense emma where would the default ones come from yeah so um that's the next

00:13:12thing on my list now so to set default images so you've got default images for every page that you

00:13:18create uh every image sequencer page you create so to just set them you need to go to change options

00:13:24over here on the left hand side it's just loading there and you can see change options it has these

00:13:33two options here so it's got template type for standard and template type for golf so we'll work

00:13:38on the main site for now but if you're ever making a change to the golf uh microsite you can

00:13:42do

00:13:42it in here as well so we'll click on this plus and it opens up this box here so it

00:13:47says sequencer

00:13:48images for standard uh here so that's the sequencer images and you can see there's a six of them in

00:13:54there at the moment and there's a max of six so you can have a max of these so these

00:13:58are these uh

00:13:59default ones so these will show on any page that don't use their own images for the quickbook so you

00:14:05could set the your best images here and say you make a new page and you don't have imagery imagery

00:14:11for it

00:14:11they could just use the default ones on this side so you can see the first image there is carton

00:14:16house

00:14:16and then you've got a suite you've got the tree view carton house pool green number one and

00:14:25waterfall there okay so um i'll just remove waterfall number one there for a second so i'll hit the red

00:14:31x here

00:14:32and i'll just show you um if you wanted to add your own one there so the red x will

00:14:36remove any um

00:14:39any image within this uh box here so uh right now there's five so we've room for one more i'm

00:14:45going

00:14:45to click um load available rates and you can see um sorry load available images right you can see um

00:14:54this drop down comes here and you can see all the images that are available on the site so if

00:14:59you put your

00:14:59mouse over any of them you can get a little hover and you can look for the image you want

00:15:04you can

00:15:05scroll down through it but i know which one i want to put in i want to put back in

00:15:08the one i took out

00:15:09so i'm just going to use the search box here so i type in water and it shows me the

00:15:13waterfall here

00:15:13and to add it to the site i just need to hit this blue plus here and if you don't

00:15:18select specific

00:15:20images for your page they will automatically pull these six in yes if it's a quickbook image sequencer

00:15:26layout um it will pull these six in so what you could do you could um say say the offer

00:15:31on your

00:15:33home page at the moment so if we just go to your home page here so you could um you

00:15:37could put uh

00:15:39this into your um into your default ones here um and uh this offer will then show on any page

00:15:46that's

00:15:47that's not using it so it so it's a handy way to push an offer on every page every sequencer

00:15:52image

00:15:52if that makes sense are those call to actions are they overlaid onto the image then uh yeah so so

00:15:59um a url was added to the image on on the whole on the home page here so if i

00:16:03just look at the home

00:16:04page here just go to pp here that takes us into the page properties um so you can see here

00:16:10down the

00:16:11sequencer image here see uh we'll go down to this one you can see uh this image here if i

00:16:16click on it

00:16:18that's it there uh that's the image that's showing on the site uh you can see there's a link uh

00:16:25over

00:16:26that image there so it's just that if that image gets clicked it goes to that link there okay so

00:16:32any

00:16:32of the boxes on that image would leave that one link yes yeah so that it's not actually a button

00:16:37over the image that's a graphic uh so if i click on it there so that's just a graphic that

00:16:42um i think we

00:16:43med free or you got somebody else to make for you um and the idea is we upload the graphic

00:16:48and then you

00:16:49can add the url to the image so if we go back now go back to change options now um

00:16:56so well what i did

00:16:58i added back in the winter with at the waterfall sorry and um anytime you make a change in the

00:17:04change

00:17:05options you just need to scroll down to the very bottom and click on save down here that will save

00:17:10your

00:17:14changes there second so we'll go to the overview now and what we'll do we'll try and find a page

00:17:19that uses the default ones so if i just go down through here so a lot of them use their

00:17:24own ones

00:17:24i can see just by just by seeing the numbers um so anyone without a number that has a quickbook

00:17:31sequence you could serve trying to find it here so um it looks like you don't use the default ones

00:17:38that often so there might be a standalone page maybe down here

00:17:50that they all seem to have them um so did you see one sorry quickbook

00:17:56and sequencer here so it's got no number yeah press and media so if we go to that page

00:18:02so this page is using the default ones the show and change options so um it looks like you're not

00:18:08using that feature that much but maybe if you wanted to um you you can know for the future now

00:18:14anyways

00:18:18that's that you don't have to set an image on each one of these um okay so that is change

00:18:23options there

00:18:24so if we just go to the home page now is is that all okay so far emma yeah yeah

00:18:29all good okay so

00:18:31what we'll do now we'll create our a new page ourselves now so what we're going to do i want

00:18:38to make a page just like the home page here i want a quick book i want an image sequencer

00:18:43i want some

00:18:44text here i want these offers and uh on my on my new page so what i'm going to do

00:18:50i'm going to go to ap

00:18:51go to the overview and there's home and i just want to clone the home page there so i'm going

00:18:57to

00:18:57click clone and we to give it a file name so i'm just going to click here and we're i'm

00:19:02going to

00:19:02i'm just going to call this one cms training and i might call it cms training 2 because or maybe

00:19:07three i i'm not too sure um we we've done training before i think but i think the recording was

00:19:12lost so

00:19:14um so uh there's probably a page in there already okay so i'm just going to put the status to

00:19:20live

00:19:20um we can work on that offline if we want to but i'll just put this one to live um

00:19:25for now uh down

00:19:26here you've got navigation item so it says right now do not create a navigation item um so i want

00:19:32to tick

00:19:33this if we change it to create a new navigation item uh the page kind of reloads and adds in

00:19:39these

00:19:40navigation fields here so uh if we do if we want to create a page and add it straight into

00:19:46the nav

00:19:46here somewhere that's what you want to do there um so you change it to create new navigation items so

00:19:52this just gives you the option to add it straight into the into the nav but most likely you won't

00:19:57want to you'll probably more than likely have it on do not create navigation item you're working the

00:20:02page and then you'll add it to the nav if that makes sense um so but i might just show

00:20:07you how to

00:20:07add it if you just in case you do so we want we want to give it a navigation title

00:20:11as well so

00:20:12navigation title is what the client will see or the customer will see when they visit the site

00:20:16so we'll just call it cms training um then you've got parent navigation item so right now it says

00:20:23header menu so if you remember we had a header menu but you don't have you i don't think your

00:20:27design

00:20:28uses a header menu so the header menu would appear up here beside these two links but your design

00:20:34doesn't use one so you don't want it you don't want it to show in under header menu you can

00:20:39see you've

00:20:40got main menu so um if you wanted it to appear in the main menu you'd pick main menu and

00:20:45that would add

00:20:46the new page up here in this bar here so that top bar there but if you wanted it as

00:20:53a drop down out of

00:20:54of uh the hotel here we'll say um you um what what you would do then is in the parent

00:21:01navigation item

00:21:03you can see here home is there um it's kind of tabbed in and under main menu so that just

00:21:09means

00:21:09it's a part of main menu so uh home is here if we wanted to be a drop down of

00:21:13home we'll click on home

00:21:15but uh we'll put it as a drop down of the hotel that makes sense so we'll just click the

00:21:20hotel and

00:21:21um we'll just do that and uh we'll just throw that up for a couple of a couple of minutes

00:21:28i'm

00:21:28sure nobody will spot it while we're training anyway so we'll just click add so we've got our

00:21:33file name lowercase no spaces uh status is live we're adding it to nav it's called cms training

00:21:39and the parent navigation is the hotel so we'll just click add

00:21:45and that brings us to the page properties of the page that we just created

00:21:48so um what we're going to do the only thing you have to do straight away when you add a

00:21:53new page

00:21:53you have to give it a content title so we're just going to call it cms training again so content

00:21:59title is kind of the h1 that shows on the page so i'll just add in content title and we'll

00:22:04scroll

00:22:04past all this stuff we can ignore this for a second and we'll just hit save and you can see

00:22:10here we're

00:22:11back in the overview and you can see home the hotel and cms trainings after getting added there in under

00:22:17the hotel there so if we just look at the site what determines the order that they go in

00:22:23a second yes yeah so it's gone in second at the moment um so when you're doing it that way

00:22:29it could

00:22:30just pop in kind of anywhere there but uh i'll show you how there's a sort tool here you can

00:22:35use to move

00:22:35them around uh i'll show you that in a in a while uh once uh we've done creating the page

00:22:44so if we go here home the hotel you can see cms training is there we'll just click on there

00:22:50frozen on the other screen oh yes sorry so i'll do it a bit more slower uh there's there's the

00:22:55cms

00:22:55training there oh yeah so i'll just click on that now and it will bring this into our page and

00:23:02you

00:23:02can see um the content title is here the h1 cms training and you can see it's after copying this

00:23:09grid

00:23:09from the home page so it's the exact same the only thing it didn't copy it was the text box

00:23:13so this is

00:23:14text box the only thing i didn't bring across was the content when it so uh if you do want

00:23:19to if you

00:23:20are copying a page straight you could just copy and paste that back in um on the new page and

00:23:27so i'll

00:23:27show you that then so um are you do you think it's okay to leave cms training on it there

00:23:33or do you want

00:23:34me to remove it right now um from the site um even if you made it a standalone so nobody

00:23:40could see it

00:23:40yeah i'll just do that now so um so to do that so it's in cms training right now so

00:23:47um you should

00:23:47remember the overview is just kind of an overview so anything to do with the nav you need to come

00:23:52over here to structure uh you can see it here cms training here it looks very similar to the overview

00:23:58um so some people get mixed up by it so i'm just going to go into properties for of the

00:24:02structure and

00:24:03i'm going to change that to disable um i did that quickly but we'll we'll go through that a little

00:24:07bit

00:24:07more later on so that's been removed now it's after becoming red we go back to the overview now

00:24:12you can see it's gone and it should be a standalone page so the link here on linked pages that

00:24:19will

00:24:19bring you down to the standalone pages down here uh so the now we need to find the page we

00:24:27just created

00:24:27so i'm going to use the search box cms and you can see there's a there's an old one i

00:24:34did previously

00:24:34uh but we made this one here cms training tree dot html so we're just going to click into that

00:24:39now

00:24:41okay so the first thing we'll do is we'll go into page properties so pp

00:24:48and we'll start at the top and work our way down so in the page properties you can change the

00:24:52file name

00:24:53if you want to again uh but probably not recommended it once you create the page uh because if you

00:24:59change

00:25:00the file name and somebody's trying to find the old link it won't redirect to the new one so um

00:25:05so but you could change it there if you wanted to uh page optimization here you've got your html title

00:25:12so that's what will show in the up here so do you see the way it says carton house location

00:25:18um uh the tight in the tab that's what will show up there that makes that um that's that bit

00:25:25there's

00:25:25a bit of meta description if we scroll down the content title is here again so if you want to

00:25:30change that so that's kind of the h1 that shows at the top of the page um below that you've

00:25:36got your

00:25:36subtitle so it's subtitle that's that there we'll just put in

00:25:43test uh subtitle you've got your template type so if you remember from the overview page we had

00:25:48standard and we had golf so if you want to change the look at this page um to the golf

00:25:53page you can

00:25:53change it to golf if you wanted that and that will that will change the color of the header and

00:25:57the

00:25:57footers and the quick book to the green of the golf uh but for now we'll leave it on standard

00:26:01um

00:26:03okay so the next thing here you've got override sequencer image here so right now it's set to yes

00:26:08so if that was set to no then this page would use the default one so i might just do

00:26:13that now

00:26:13just change that to no page kind of refreshes there so sequencer images it's on no so if we hit

00:26:20save

00:26:20now scroll down you can see now this page is using the default ones that we set earlier on in

00:26:26the

00:26:26change options okay um so we'll just go uh page properties again um pp here so what we'll do we'll

00:26:40set our own sequencer images just for this page so we're we do want to overwrite the default ones we'll

00:26:45change it to yes and you can see it's blank now because i removed the older one so you can

00:26:51you can

00:26:51see the sequencer images are here we'll click load available images you can just scroll down along um

00:26:56i'll go with this golf one um i can add in a few more sorry afternoon tea or this one

00:27:07here that bedroom

00:27:10um bridal and

00:27:16and the aerial view there something like that so i'll show you how to upload images as well in a

00:27:21little

00:27:21bit as well uh so we've got a golf image we've got a bedroom we've got a wedding uh a

00:27:26aerial view

00:27:27kind of thing okay so they're all added into the sequencer images here so you can give them a title

00:27:33if you

00:27:33want yeah it's not necessary because it won't show on the site and you can put a link in there

00:27:37so

00:27:38when i clicked on link there you can see these two drop downs appeared so you could actually link it

00:27:43to

00:27:43any live page on the site sorry and um you so these are all the live pages on the site

00:27:54so if i scroll down

00:27:55through here actually there's our cms tree uh cms training tree page to html so we could link this

00:28:03image to uh the page we just created or to any page here so i might just link it to

00:28:08the golf testimonial

00:28:09page just show you what it's like and also uh there's a drop down here for your rates so these

00:28:15um

00:28:15these are some rates that are in your booking engine so you could you could um link it to one

00:28:20of

00:28:21your rates that you've set up to maybe young at heart if i click on that there it puts in

00:28:24the

00:28:25the code for that rate from the booking engine so that might be handy if you want to put in

00:28:30a link

00:28:30there okay so you've also got this tick box here it's called date range so if i tick that you

00:28:38get

00:28:57so you could maybe do a bit of prep work beforehand and this image would get added on the 12th

00:29:03of june

00:29:04using the date range there that okay yeah okay so i'll just turn that off for now because i want

00:29:10that to show on the site right now so that is uh sequencer images we'll just scroll down we'll hit

00:29:15save

00:29:16just have a look at the page we're creating and you can see there the images there

00:29:23um also uh i think wanting to be mindful when you're uploading images you can see

00:29:27depending on the screen sizes um certain parts of the image gets cut off at the bottom and

00:29:33at the top so if i um show you different screen sizes i refresh the page we just scroll you

00:29:45can

00:29:45see um you can see how the image scales on different sizes so um if you're taking photography or adding

00:29:52anything to the site um you just need to be mindful that most likely a little bit at the top

00:29:57well a bit

00:29:58the top is going to get cut off and a bit of the bottom it's going to be cut off

00:30:02uh if that makes

00:30:05sense um so if i could show you an example so if i page here

00:30:20so i just opened up the original image so that is the original image here and you can see that

00:30:25a bit of

00:30:26his legs got cut off a little bit and a lot of the sky got cut off a little bit

00:30:29just to suit this

00:30:30um this size screen so uh that's something you to be mindful when you're uploading images just make

00:30:37sure that the the main focal area is in the the center of the image if that makes sense can

00:30:43you move

00:30:43it around that you can choose kind of what is or is there is no it's kind of it's kind

00:30:48of set that

00:30:49way um it's it there's no way to really uh choose it for us because you can see if i

00:30:56make this screen

00:30:56a little smaller you can see more the image gets shown there more the image gets shown there so it

00:31:02depends on the the screen size it's responsive so um so it you know it kind of looks right on

00:31:08all

00:31:08screens but then on other screens more the image gets cut off in a way um in a way so

00:31:14so if what we'd

00:31:16what we'd say when you're making your graphic or anything like that is just make sure that the

00:31:20main message is in the middle in the focal area in the bit that won't get cut off and just

00:31:26be mindful

00:31:26that the tops and the bottoms can be removed on different screen sizes okay i just refresh the page

00:31:36there because i was messing with the screen sizes okay so that is the image sequencer there setting the

00:31:42setting overriding the default ones with our own images there so if we go to uh page properties

00:31:48now so you can see uh we're going to move into the content area now so we're these are all

00:31:54widgets

00:31:54down here so you've got a number of widgets and i'll show you how to add all of them so

00:31:58we'll just

00:31:58go to page properties now and we're going to scroll down past the sequencer image and the first thing we

00:32:06see is the widget loader so the widget loader is where you add in your widget so you can see

00:32:10right now

00:32:11there's a text widget and there's a promotion widget in there at the moment so um what i'm going to

00:32:17do

00:32:17i'm just going to uh let's i'm just going to remove these for now and uh just hit save

00:32:30and you can see if we go back to the front end of the site now there's uh there's no

00:32:34content there

00:32:34because we know widgets in there at the moment uh with it so we'll go to page properties and i'll

00:32:40add

00:32:40in each widget one at a time and i can show you how each one of them works so we're

00:32:46at the widget

00:32:47loader here we're going to click on this drop down here so you can see these are all the widgets

00:32:51available to you you've got about eight from there and we're going to start off with the text widget

00:32:57because uh that's the one i prefer to start with so we'll just click text there and we'll click add

00:33:02widget and you can see the text widget gets added into the widget loader here and it's number one

00:33:09there and it's number one here the the only the the one thing with the text widget is it has

00:33:13to be

00:33:14edited on the front end of the site so we'll just click save we'll go into the front end of

00:33:19the site

00:33:19we'll just scroll down you can see there's the text widget there added in um to the content area there

00:33:26so you need to click into it to add your cursor and you can just uh type or you can

00:33:31um copy and

00:33:33paste in uh your details all this kind of stuff you can add a book now there so uh so

00:33:45you can add in

00:33:46all your stuff you can bold it you can italic it and you can underline it so it's like a

00:33:50basic um text

00:33:51editor um i'll turn those off you can center it you can right align it put it back over here

00:33:57on the

00:33:57left you can give it bullet points and numbers you can also click this format here and there's headers

00:34:03so you've got a header one a header two sorry header two there so it makes it bigger and changes

00:34:09changes

00:34:09the color of it um you've got header three makes it slightly skinnier so you've got a few options for

00:34:17formatting it there so i'm going to change it back to a paragraph right now so it's back to normal

00:34:22um so you can also make a link out of this if you want it so you can click this

00:34:25chain icon up here

00:34:28and it brings you this insert link pop up here so you could just copy and paste the link in

00:34:32here

00:34:33uh if uh if you want if you have it handy maybe it's a youtube video or something like that

00:34:37or you could

00:34:38use this um link list here maybe um you want it to link to one so this will give you

00:34:44a list of all the

00:34:45rooms that are live on the site so you could go down through here and pick out any any one

00:34:49of the

00:34:50rooms here or any one of the pages on the site again if you scroll to the very bottom of

00:34:55this list

00:34:56we'll just scroll down here you can see you've got pdfs here uh so you could link it to one

00:35:01of

00:35:01your pdfs on the site if you wanted to so um at the very bottom of this linked list you

00:35:06can find

00:35:07all your pdfs there so um i might just link it to the winter wedding offer and uh what we'd

00:35:14recommend

00:35:14when you're um when you're linking to a pdf is if you change the target to a new window uh

00:35:20so that

00:35:21will just mean it will open in a new window the pdf will open in a new window up here

00:35:24a new tab

00:35:26and and it won't take the user away from your site so i'll just click ok you can see that's

00:35:32after

00:35:32making that a a url there uh so you can click on that when you're not logged in and it

00:35:36will take

00:35:37you to the pdf uh again uh if we if you want to make it a button but just click

00:35:42on this chain icon

00:35:43again it brings it up you've also got this class drop down here you can change it to a button

00:35:48here

00:35:49just for um uh just for the link there so we click ok and it turns that into a button

00:35:54there for you so

00:35:55that might be handy for you as well so once you've um added all your content and you're happy with

00:36:01how it

00:36:01looks um you can highlight it all and center it and you're you've got everything you need to click

00:36:07save up here so uh there's a button save here so that just saves all the content in the text

00:36:14widget

00:36:14there um so that will that will save it all there um if you do make some changes and you

00:36:20try and leave

00:36:20the page it will tell you if you you've got some changes you haven't saved you can just click cancel

00:36:25you can click into that box and you can hit save then so that's the text widget there is that

00:36:30okay am

00:36:31yeah perfect cool so what we'll do we go back to the page properties again

00:36:36uh so you can do it with the ap there but uh with the pp sorry uh but if you

00:36:41click ap as well

00:36:42we can just go cms with the search box we can also click properties here uh this blue link we

00:36:48are in

00:36:49the overview to go to the page properties so there's a few different ways to to get to the page

00:36:54properties

00:36:54of each page so we'll scroll down to the widget loader next one we'll we'll move on to the next

00:37:00one we'll add a banner image now and we'll click add widget

00:37:07widget and banner images after being added to the bottom of the widget loader there you can see

00:37:11it's number two here so uh the banner image is here we'll click load available images and you can

00:37:18scroll down through all your available images and you can pick out a nice one there so you've got

00:37:23actually a flash sale there we might use that one uh so or uh we might we might pick a

00:37:31different one

00:37:31just a clear image because i think banner image we can add in some text of our own over it

00:37:36so we'll

00:37:37just give it a title we show subtitle so we can tick this box here as well we can put

00:37:44a subtitle on it

00:37:47and add some text

00:37:53uh so a call to action we'll say book now

00:37:59now and you can add a link as well so the link works the same way you can link it

00:38:03to one of your

00:38:03existing pages or to with this box here you can link it to an uh offer in your booking engine

00:38:09so

00:38:09we'll go with that one there um so actually what i might do i might change the title to be

00:38:16banner image

00:38:18just so you know what widget is when we're looking at it on the front end of the site so

00:38:22we'll just

00:38:23change the title there i'll scroll down again uh you've also got the date range you can put the date

00:38:28range on that if you wanted to and you've got target as well right now it's on normal so if

00:38:32this

00:38:33was linking to a pdf um you could change that to a new window um the pdfs again uh in

00:38:40cms uh

00:38:41select cms page drop down you can scroll to the very bottom of this you can see you've got all

00:38:46your pdfs here as well so we'll just leave it as it is linking to the booking it booking engine

00:38:52there

00:38:54so if i scroll down now we'll just click click save that's the banner widget and we'll

00:39:00look for the cms page click on it here and we'll just scroll down there's our text widget

00:39:08and we're after adding our banner image there as well so you can see it's got the banner image widget

00:39:13it's got a subtitle it's got a description and it's got a book now so the the image i chose

00:39:19probably

00:39:20isn't the the best for it because it has some background image on it as well um so i didn't

00:39:25i didn't uh i didn't see that when i previewed it first but uh you can see you could add

00:39:31texting over

00:39:31this uh so if this was just a normal blank uh image or something like that you could make it

00:39:37look

00:39:37like an offer like that um so that's the banner widget so if we go to page properties now again

00:39:44we'll move on to the next widget and i'll scroll down to the widget loader let's click the drop down

00:39:52here

00:39:53um and the next one is iframe but uh again if you wanted to add another banner image you could

00:39:59just

00:39:59slip select that there and add it to the widget loader and it gets added in there so there's no

00:40:04you can add in multiple types of each widget so you can have multiple text widgets throughout the page

00:40:09and multiple banner images so i'll just remove that now and we'll add in an iframe click add

00:40:18okay so iframe is there so if we scroll down now so it's got iframe link so um if you

00:40:24remember earlier

00:40:25on if we go to this page here uh the the quickbook iframe layout you remember it was showing a

00:40:32map so

00:40:32you can use the iframe widget to show the map as well so um what i'll do i'll just click

00:40:37page properties

00:40:38here and i'm just going to copy this link here so this is the link to your map uh so

00:40:43i'm just going

00:40:44to copy that we'll bring it back to our um our cms training page i'm just going to paste that

00:40:50in there

00:40:51as well okay so that's after adding in the map there so that you can also use this to add

00:41:00um youtube

00:41:02videos as well if you have any youtube videos uh i think you do so we'll just click on this

00:41:10open up your youtube talent so what i might do i'll just i might pick one of these out and

00:41:15show you how

00:41:15to add that as well so the a new chapter in carton house pause that so to add a youtube

00:41:23video you can

00:41:24click on share down here and we can click on embed and you just want to copy this code over

00:41:31here copy this code if we go back to our cms training page now what we're going to do we're

00:41:37going to add in another iframe widget we'll just go page properties

00:41:43and we won't replace the map one we'll just add in another one

00:41:48that widget that gets added um scroll down here and you can see it's got number four number three is

00:41:56the map number four iframe is a new one so we're i'm just going to paste in that code i

00:42:01copied from

00:42:01the youtube uh page there we're just going to click save scroll down to the very bottom there's the

00:42:09map and there's the youtube video as well um is that okay emma yeah perfect okay cool so um that's

00:42:15how you can add in videos there using the iframe um widget there uh so we'll move on to the

00:42:21next one

00:42:27run on to the very to the widget loader and the next one on our list is the image and

00:42:32text widget

00:42:32so we'll click add widget that gets added to the bottom of our list so image and text uh we'll

00:42:40scroll

00:42:40down we'll look for it now it's number five so number five is here image and text widget we'll click

00:42:45load available images and we get to pick out an image here so there's a max of 20 of these

00:42:50you can add

00:42:50uh but i wouldn't recommend adding that many because it's quite a large widget and if you've

00:42:55got 20 of these on a page it will make the page very long and you'll you'll see what i

00:42:59mean now in

00:43:00a second when i add in two of them so we'll add in this one and we'll just scroll down

00:43:05i'll add in one

00:43:06more uh we'll go with this jeep here that's number two so that's get they get added to the the

00:43:13the box up

00:43:14here so i'm just going to give it a title image and text image and text widget we'll just put

00:43:23in some

00:43:26subtitle text call to action we'll put more info on this one info a link we'll link it to german

00:43:35guest

00:43:35page and we'll leave the target on normal because we don't want to open a new tab uh we'll scroll

00:43:41down

00:43:41the next one and i'll just fill in these fields quickly link it we'll link it to erase and we'll

00:43:52just hit save now at the very bottom and we'll scroll down along it's at the bottom of our list

00:43:58there

00:43:58there's our video and you can see this is the image and text here so it shows the first image

00:44:03here uh on

00:44:05the left hand side it's got its title its subtitle its description and it's uh call to action then

00:44:12the next image is shown on the right and the text is on the left so if we add a

00:44:17do that itself yes it

00:44:19does yeah so if we add a third one now the the next image will appear on the left and

00:44:24the text on the

00:44:24right and so on and so on so um as i was saying if you 20 d's on a page

00:44:28it would make the page very long

00:44:29as well so it does that automatically left and right uh that's the image and text widget i'm not

00:44:35sure if you're using on the site at the moment but maybe you might want to use it in the

00:44:39future uh

00:44:41depending on what you're trying to make so we'll move on to the next one we'll go to page properties

00:44:49okay we'll scroll down to the very bottom and we've got uh the widget loader again so we've gone uh

00:44:55image and text we're onto the image grid now so the image grid can be a little complicated as well

00:45:00so

00:45:00i'll go through this one in detail and click add widget and it gets added to the bottom of our

00:45:07list

00:45:07there's number six number six sorry and this is the image grid so what if you do add in a

00:45:15couple of

00:45:15these widgets uh to the page and you want to change the order of them say i want to put

00:45:19the image grid

00:45:20up near the top in under the text box you can just click that icon there and you can click

00:45:24and drag

00:45:25and the yellow space uh when you let go it represents where it will fall so i'm going to put

00:45:29image grid

00:45:29up near the top in under the banner image there so if we scroll down now we're just going to

00:45:36look

00:45:36for the image grid um at the bottom of this page it's uh it's number six still on the list

00:45:42um

00:45:43so you can see you've got a max of 20 of these as well and we'll click load available images

00:45:48now

00:45:49so you can see with these images here you've got there's a bit of um there's a bit of text

00:45:54at the front of it it's got one call if i scroll down far enough now you can see some

00:46:00of them have

00:46:00two call if i go down a little bit further as well recall so there's three different types of

00:46:06images available for for the image grid and uh each one of the each uh three call two call and

00:46:13one

00:46:14call they're all different sizes so what we're going to do um and they fit in a grid of three

00:46:20so

00:46:21what i'll do i'll just add in three one calls and i'll just show you how it looks then on

00:46:25the front

00:46:25of the site um that's the first row filled up we're going to add a two call now add a

00:46:33two call

00:46:33and because we're on the second row now um we'll add a one call and we'll just add a three

00:46:40call then

00:46:41to finish it off um so this might be a bit tricky to take in when i'm talking about it

00:46:47but when i see you

00:46:47you might understand that a little better so you can see here this is a one call image followed by

00:46:53a one column image followed by a one column image that all adds up to three and it fits in

00:46:58that row

00:46:58there that makes sense so then when i added my two call here's my two call i needed to add

00:47:04a one column

00:47:05image here as well just to to make that add up to three so i couldn't put two two call

00:47:10images beside

00:47:11each other because there's no room for the second one over here we just jump onto the second line onto

00:47:15the

00:47:16next line if that makes sense and finally the last one is a three call and that just takes up

00:47:20the full

00:47:21width of that one there um so um so that's the uh one call one call one call two call

00:47:27one call and

00:47:28you um you can play around with this and like you could put a one call and a two call

00:47:33and just kind

00:47:33of swap them over and back um so um what i'd recommend if you're making one of these from scratch

00:47:39is just add the images like i did right now and make sure it looks right and then you can

00:47:44add the detail

00:47:44about it afterwards so what we'll do now we're going to page properties and we'll just add in some

00:47:49text to these on site scroll down now and you can see it's uh number two here in the list

00:48:00uh because

00:48:01we moved it up along the list there so the first one you can see um this is the first

00:48:06one call image

00:48:07to be added um it's got a you can put a call to action on it i'm not sure it

00:48:12will call to action

00:48:14we'll just put a book now i don't know if it will show and we're going to leave the display

00:48:18option as

00:48:18no text i'll add a link to the first page there and that's all we'll do with the first one

00:48:24there so

00:48:25right now it says no text for the second one display option we're going to put it to title only

00:48:33so that gives us this option here

00:48:38and only and we're just going to put in that title there we're going to give it a call to

00:48:41action

00:48:43more info and we're going to link it to a random page there christmas parties

00:48:49we'll move on to the third image now it's a one call as well and we're going to go with

00:48:53all text on

00:48:59hover on text on hover and we'll give it a subtitle text

00:49:09next call to action we'll put read more into this one

00:49:12and we'll link it to erase in the booking engine young at heart and that's the third one there so

00:49:18we'll scroll down one more and there's one more display option it is always display text

00:49:23so you've got those four options there

00:49:32let's display text uh subtitle

00:49:37text

00:49:40info and we will link it to a random page so there are the four options you have available you've

00:49:46got

00:49:46all this display text you've got uh all text on hover you've got title only and no text at all

00:49:52so we'll just scroll down we'll hit save we'll see what that did to the front of our site

00:49:57scroll down now you can see the first one had uh it was no text but we're after adding a

00:50:03link to it so

00:50:04i can click on that and it will take us to a page as well the second one has title

00:50:09only and it has a

00:50:10more info button so a call to action button with more info it says title only the next one over

00:50:15here on

00:50:15the right it's all text on hover so when i put my mouse over it it adds a subtitle it

00:50:20adds its text

00:50:21and the call to action if we scroll down now again you've got the always display text so this just

00:50:26shows all the uh all the text uh even when we're not hovering so that's the four options available

00:50:33with the image grid um i'm not sure if you're using that on the site at the moment the image

00:50:40grid

00:50:40but maybe it's something i think it's on the home page uh you scroll down oh home page um so

00:50:47the this

00:50:48is actually a different one this is just for um uh this is a promotion widget but it's very similar

00:50:52um

00:50:53so you could use the image grid if you like for that i think on the rooms page when i

00:50:57looked in it

00:50:57this is in the image grid as well so you've got a two column image followed by this graphic and

00:51:03uh

00:51:03and always display text on it and you can see um that's the image grid there so if i if

00:51:09we just go

00:51:10into the page properties there you can have a look and see how that page works how that image grid

00:51:14is

00:51:14laid out yeah you scroll down you can see there's image grid in the widget loader it's number two

00:51:19you can see the first image there is two column image it's got no text on it so that's the

00:51:24first

00:51:24one you can see the second one is a one column an image and it's called wallpaper number one

00:51:30so that's wallpaper number one there so if you want to uh use that on an uh on a new

00:51:36page you all

00:51:37you have to do is find that image in the load available images it's got all this display text

00:51:42and the details there if we scroll down again it's got this one another one column

00:51:48and it's the exact same as the last one followed by a two column so that's how that one's laid

00:51:52out

00:51:52there so if you want to recreate that um probably your best bet is just to clone this page and

00:52:00then

00:52:00just edit the fields within uh because it will copy it exactly um so so if you want to use

00:52:07that uh just

00:52:07clone the rooms page uh there uh or you or i i've showed you now how to make it from

00:52:14scratch if you

00:52:15want if you do get stuck um with it as well so that's the image grid is that okay yeah

00:52:22yeah that's

00:52:22perfect cool so that's probably the most complicated widget we have because you just need to be wary

00:52:29of which uh where each image is going um because it can display funny if it's in wrong so what

00:52:36we'll

00:52:37do we'll move on to the next one and the next one is the parallax image we'll click add widget

00:52:45and it gets added to the bottom of our list there so i'm just going to shove it up a

00:52:49little bit above

00:52:50the map uh the first map parallax image there we'll scroll down and we'll find it it's at the bottom

00:52:56there's a max of five of these images we'll click load available images all the available ones uh show

00:53:02so we'll we might go with the eggs there i saw them there we'll go with the eggs um so

00:53:08you don't have

00:53:09to add a title or anything um to this one but you can fill it in if you want uh

00:53:14so we'll just click save

00:53:17i'll see how it looks on the site we'll scroll down now and it should be just before the map

00:53:22so you can see there it is there do you see it's a free it's a full width image there

00:53:27and you can see

00:53:28as i i don't know if you can see it on the blue jeans call the effect of it but

00:53:31we're kind of moving

00:53:32through the image as we scroll yeah yeah so that's the parallax there so you can actually add um text

00:53:40over this as well if you wanted to so if we go to page properties and we'll scroll we'll look

00:53:47at our

00:53:47widget loader we can see parallax is number four so we'll just scroll down to number four

00:53:52here's number four parallax widget and you can add a title to this

00:54:02yeah i'll call it parallax so you can

00:54:08there add some text so um later on um after we finish this call you can actually maybe log in

00:54:14if you wanted to and just play around with this um this page we created because it's not on the

00:54:18site

00:54:20so you can just you could probably practice on this page if you wanted to okay i would click save

00:54:28roll down along find our parallax so there it is there you can see parallax subtitle text and you can

00:54:33see the image isn't really suitable so some of the some of the the text gets lost in the background

00:54:39so

00:54:39uh if you are adding text over an image um you kind of want to make sure it's uh it's

00:54:43not a very bright

00:54:44image or as you'll lose the text um so that's for the parallax there and we'll just we'll move on

00:54:53to the next one now

00:54:57the next one is the promotion widget and that's the one you have on the home page at the moment

00:55:02click add add widget

00:55:11promotion widget it gets added to the bottom scroll down to the bottom here and we'll click load available images

00:55:20if i just go down through this uh so we pick out are they automatically one column width

00:55:28uh yes they they would be yeah um but there's a there's a few tricks you can do with the

00:55:33promotion

00:55:33one as well um so actually what i might do i might just have a look at the home page

00:55:40and see how it's done

00:55:42because there's a few different layouts you can use with these

00:55:46so the promotion one and they're using normal images that looks like normal images so yeah so uh sorry so

00:55:54we'll just pick out um one of these images will it will i'll pick out three of them with this

00:56:01one

00:56:02and this one here okay so they're all after being added up here so you can give it a title

00:56:09so you can kind of see that once you get used to uh one which they all kind of follow

00:56:15the same

00:56:16layout uh call to action book now uh link it to

00:56:25page there and we'll do the same for this one

00:56:40and what we'll do we'll just hit save now see how that looks on the front end of the site

00:56:45so we'll

00:56:46scroll down and i think it's at the very bottom isn't it yeah okay so this is it here so

00:56:52you can tell

00:56:53straight away it's it's automatically different from what's on the front end of the site because

00:56:57it there's a few different options when you're making this one so we'll just go back to the page

00:57:02properties now we'll have a look um so um not all um styles were displayed for the site or whatever

00:57:13so

00:57:14whoever was doing the site uh probably just picked out one and that's what you went with

00:57:19so you can see here in the promotion widget there's an advanced options down here and you've got

00:57:24promote type it's list with text here so we're just gonna there's four options here we're just going to

00:57:30go i think it's large tile without text is what you're looking for what you use on the site so

00:57:35we'll

00:57:35just just do that we'll click save so by changing that option now it should display a lot more like

00:57:41the

00:57:42home page so that's the home page there for you there so um you see it looks very similar to

00:57:49the

00:57:49home page um if we go to the page properties i just i might add in a few other a

00:57:56few other promotion

00:57:56widgets and just see how the other ones look i'm not sure how they look right now

00:58:06so i've added in one more and i'll i've added in a second one there so we'll scroll down again

00:58:13and

00:58:13i'll just load available images this is on the new one that we just added and i'll go with this

00:58:19golf buggy here add in some text there

00:58:26probably just leave all that blank we'll go to advanced options here list just circular large

00:58:31without text if that one

00:58:35a bit slow for me to the mall now the circular sorry uh no uh so just the the the

00:58:52the uh the one i added there so we added a new promotion widget there um so you can see

00:58:57this one

00:58:58here still it's still using the uh the the other one and this one here circular one so it doesn't

00:59:04really work um as well there um so i'd say if you are making it you'd probably probably stick with

00:59:12the

00:59:12design layout of of this one here which is the large tile with no text yeah large tile without with

00:59:19no

00:59:19text so that that's that's the best one for the promotion one there okay

00:59:27uh what i'll do i'll just remove that last promotion one because it doesn't work at all

00:59:31and it wouldn't work for you so uh the last one now we're on to the last one is title

00:59:36so title widget we'll just click add widget here

00:59:45and that get title gets added there so what i might do i might put that above the first iframe

00:59:49which if i remember is the map so a title widget if we scroll down to the bottom now

00:59:56so we can give it a title so i might just type in view our map

01:00:30your text widget uh so you just click in to add in type in your text you want you've got

01:00:35grid uh so you've got the three different types of images one call two call and three call uh the

01:00:41one is our banner image so that's just a banner image widget there uh with which uh book now over

01:00:47it uh next one is parallax so that's your full wish image um that scrolls along you've got your title

01:00:53widget here uh you've got your map iframe and you've got another iframe widget here but it's uh

01:00:59it has a youtube video there that you click into make play um so if we scroll down again you've

01:01:07got

01:01:07your image and text widget here and you've got your promotion widget here um are they okay yeah all good

01:01:14okay cool so with all those widgets you can make many different types of pages so like the family

01:01:19room here it's got the text widget there and it's using the promotion one there uh if we go to

01:01:24your spa

01:01:24page so maybe you've got text again and you've got the image grid so this is image grid so that's

01:01:30all

01:01:30text on hover so with all those widgets you can make many different uh types of pages and you can

01:01:37change the layout so you could have a i can't remember what page had uh just a quick book or

01:01:44something

01:01:44like that um so that's uh that's how you make a new page uh so if we go out now

01:01:50ap uh so just the

01:01:53gallery i think as well if we if i go into the gallery original gallery here if you want to

01:01:58change

01:01:59if any any of these images here you just go to the page properties and it's very similar to the

01:02:04image

01:02:04sequencer so here it is here gallery images it's just frozen there for a sec oh sorry

01:02:11so um can you see it yet yeah yeah yeah so you've got the gallery image there it's very similar

01:02:17to

01:02:18the sequencer image uh there's 12 in there at the moment you can have a max of 40 of these

01:02:22because

01:02:22it's the gallery so to add a new image to the gallery you just click load available images

01:02:26and you can pick out your image down here you there's also a search box here if you just

01:02:31if uh if the images are named um with meaningful names like so you just type in wedding and you

01:02:37can find all the wedding ones then and you can add them in so you can just hit the blue

01:02:40plus to add

01:02:41it in up here again if you want to remove any of these you could just hit the the red

01:02:46x there

01:02:47and when you've that change you just click save down at the bottom and that's the gallery there

01:02:54for you so if you go back to the overview now and uh i'll just show you so that's um

01:03:00the main menu and

01:03:02added creating a page and editing it and all that kind of stuff so if you want to add that

01:03:07um that uh

01:03:09that that new page that you've added to the to the navigation you can do this in the over here

01:03:14with the add item here so say it's a standalone page it's uh it's an unlinked page right now so

01:03:20you want to add one of these to the the main menu say it's the the page we just created

01:03:25the cms training

01:03:27what you want to do you want to make sure the page is live so it's live right now scroll

01:03:31up to the very

01:03:32top and you want to click add item here so if you want to add it to the the main

01:03:37menu or the footer

01:03:38menu or to the golf main menu you click add item here and you can see this looks similar

01:03:44to when we tried to clone the page originally so we can call it cms

01:03:50cms training and you see the url here you can click this drop down here so you what from here

01:03:55what you want to do you want to find the page um that we just created so we're looking for

01:04:01cms

01:04:06cms training tree so that's the one we just created there pick it out there from that list

01:04:11um if say you you just want to add a link to an external page to the main main menu

01:04:18you can click

01:04:18this one here and you can just paste in the link here so you could um i don't know link

01:04:24it to that

01:04:24site there um if you wanted to just paste in a new uh a new url there so say to

01:04:31your facebook page or

01:04:32something like that and you want it in the main menu but we don't want that right now we want

01:04:35it to

01:04:35link to our cms tree page and again like earlier on you need to choose where it goes in the

01:04:41navigation

01:04:42so right now it's on header menu and which you don't use um so say we want it in as

01:04:49a drop down

01:04:49a home last time we put it as a drop down as the hotel right now we'll what we'll do

01:04:55we'll put it as

01:04:56a drop down on offers so i think uh offers offers is here so we'll just click on we in

01:05:04the same spot

01:05:05i'll just make sure um uh we'll just put it as a drop down on offers there uh we'll put

01:05:11the status

01:05:11to enabled and we'll we can leave all that stuff the same we'll just click submit

01:05:18we'll have a look at the front end of the site now we'll see what that did

01:05:21reload this page so should be in as drop down of offers there so there's cms training there

01:05:28um so that's how you use the add item there so to remove that you need to go to structure

01:05:34here

01:05:35the structure is here in under navigation and you can see this is the main menu here so we added

01:05:42a

01:05:43drop down to offers here so offers is here and you can see cms training is here so what i'm

01:05:48going to do

01:05:48i'm just going to go to properties and we're going to remove disable that status there we'll hit submit

01:05:55and you can see now um cms trading has been disabled there as well so again if you say um

01:06:03you had an offer up a couple of months ago you want to put it back live and you know

01:06:07it was in

01:06:08the navigation you can see it's red here so if you want to put that live you go into you

01:06:12come into

01:06:12structure again and you go to properties you'll just enable it again and hits a bit

01:06:20and if you wanted to change the name so say you're not happy with cms training maybe

01:06:25the the room changed or something the name of the room changed you need to change it to deluxe rooms

01:06:30or

01:06:30something you can just come in here and change the navigation title to that won't affect the url

01:06:36uh no i won't that's just the navigation title so the url is still the same it's cms training dot

01:06:42dash

01:06:43tree if that make sense uh so we'll hit submit and you see new room is now in under home

01:06:49there so so if

01:06:51we just so new room is there okay uh so what i'm going to take it out of the navigation

01:07:00menu again

01:07:01uh we'll come back into structure so anything in the navigation you go into the structure find it

01:07:06you can also use the search tool if you're struggling to find it find it anyways just go into properties

01:07:12and change it to disabled submit and it's been removed there now um yeah yeah so um now that

01:07:20page is a standalone page now so it's no longer in the nav so say you asked me earlier on

01:07:27say you want

01:07:27to change the order of these um yeah in the uh over here in under structure there's a sort tool

01:07:36so say you want uh you want to change the order these a little bit so you can see

01:07:41you've got main menu home you've got the hotel so you can actually just click and drag

01:07:48move these around if you wanted to and put them wherever you want um what i will say be careful

01:07:54because if you do move it in a place you don't want it to go say i do that and

01:07:58it just messes up

01:07:59the layout yeah if that happens just refresh the page because um and just start fresh again and try

01:08:06and do it again so yeah i want to push horse racing above the hotel drop down um and that's

01:08:12what i want

01:08:13then is so i'm happy with that i scroll down hit this save icon down here so i won't actually

01:08:19save because

01:08:20i don't want to change anything on the site i'll just refresh the page again but that's how you do

01:08:24it you just click and drag to to move these things around and you can just uh hit save then

01:08:30so that's

01:08:30the structure there any questions on that emma no that's all good probably you probably will when

01:08:36you're working on it and yeah i'm sure i think uh what so do you have actually mobile buttons

01:08:43on the mobile on the mobile site if we just click if i inspect this

01:08:51so uh on the mobile site now as well i'll just refresh this here you've got these three buttons

01:08:55here make a reservation buy a gift card and book a tea you've got book now gallery and contact us

01:09:01you can actually update these now as well um so i think i'll i'll just close off a few tabs

01:09:23mobile stuff it's in under change options so for setting default it's change options and for mobile

01:09:27it's change options as well so the page is just loading for me uh we just hit this plus here

01:09:34can see sequencer images for standard these were our default ones here if we just keep scrolling down

01:09:38a little bit you can see you've got mobile menu for standard and you've got mobile buttons for

01:09:43standard so the buttons are watch the buttons are these ones here that's showing and the menu is here

01:09:51the mobile menu is here so we'll just change those around here so mobile menu for standards you've got

01:10:02want to reorder one of these you just click the uh three lines there and you could just click and

01:10:38so if you you you kind of need to know the name of the image um in uh in the

01:10:43mobile folder um to pick

01:10:46out so we'll just go is that a separate gallery uh yeah so each image on the on the site

01:10:52comes from a

01:10:53different folder i'll show you that after this how to upload images and i'll show you where each image

01:10:58comes from uh in a few seconds so i just went with this image here and you can see you

01:11:04see there's a

01:11:05little tick box in under each of these i'm just going to click promote you can see the one above

01:11:08me

01:11:09doesn't have promote i'm just going to click save there for a second and we'll just have a look at

01:11:12how

01:11:12how that looks on the site save so that's saved there i'm just going to go to the front of

01:11:22the

01:11:22site we'll refresh you can see it's after adding in offers there it's after adding in that bedroom

01:11:27picture and if i click on that it will link through the page we link to and if you remember

01:11:31i ticked the

01:11:31promote the to promote icon so that changed the color of this one um to to the same as the

01:11:38top one

01:11:39there because the top one's using promote as well so it's just the different colors if i didn't

01:11:42take promote it would be the same purple as this one here okay okay so uh if we go to

01:11:48go back here

01:11:49now just scroll down so that's mobile menu for standard i'm going to remove that because we

01:11:56don't want that in your mobile site and we'll just hit save make sure it's removed before we go on

01:12:02to

01:12:02the the buttons at the bottom refresh and that's after being removed there so now we'll just we'll add in

01:12:11another button down here so you've got book now gallery and contact open up the change options

01:12:17again scroll down to the very bottom this time we've got mobile buttons for standard you've got book now

01:12:22gallery and contact us so right now there's three in there there's a max of four because uh we're

01:12:28limited with space you can only fit four in there really we'll click add item here we'll scroll down

01:12:35and i'll just call this one location location and we can link it to i'm pretty sure you had a

01:12:43location page uh it probably starts with l uh i don't see it right now but we'll just pick out

01:12:52a

01:12:53random page for now um we'll go with that one there you've also got this um icon here so there's

01:12:59four icons

01:12:59available here you've got a check you've got a gallery location and a contact icon if we click

01:13:04i'll just click on location for now and we'll just hit save

01:13:14and we'll go to the front end we'll refresh and you can see uh locations after being added in there

01:13:20as well and you can see the four icons are being used there so you've got the check icon got

01:13:24the gallery

01:13:25icon the contact icon and the location icon there they're all different icons there is that okay

01:13:30yeah okay so what i'll do i'll just remove location now uh while we're in there

01:13:41hit save

01:13:46go back to the front end you can see it's come back to three buttons now so if you wanted

01:13:50to you could only

01:13:51have two you could have two buttons there if you wanted or you could even just have one button that

01:13:56says book now if you wanted to change that just you could just remove the the gallery and the contact

01:14:01if you wanted to uh from mobile there so that's the mobile settings okay so we'll just finish up with

01:14:10now uploading images to the site so back to the overview and to upload images you just need to go

01:14:16to

01:14:16the file manager here so file manager here in under change options

01:14:23change options here it brings us into the file manager if we just scroll down a little bit

01:14:28you see all these blue links here these are folders for all your images so you've got slide images here

01:14:34so slide images are 1920 by 1440 they're that's the dimensions of it if i open that up there

01:14:41see you've got 521 images there if i hover over any of these you get a little preview

01:14:46so these are the images that get used in the slider images so they're the big images in the slider

01:14:51you can see here there's a few folders called parallax so the parallax widget would use the

01:14:57the images from this folder you've got your mobile nav menu images sorry the this folder would um

01:15:04we'll get the images from uh for for the mobile menu if you remember um we've got one call two

01:15:12call

01:15:12three call so that is the the image grid um widget and you've got banner up here so banner widget

01:15:19here

01:15:19so they're just names of all your folders you um here so if you're uploading an images to the site

01:15:25the best thing to do is if you click come up to the very top you click please select folder

01:15:30so you have to

01:15:30pick which folder it goes into um so because uh you don't want to be uploading to every individual

01:15:36folder what we recommend is you upload us to this one here upload slide images folder here so if you

01:15:42click on this one it will upload to that folder there's a restriction on that folder so if you

01:15:46upload to that one it also gets uploaded to all the other folders as well so that image will be

01:15:51available

01:15:52uh on all the widgets um so what i'll do we'll just go back here uh demo what we'll do

01:16:00i'll just upload

01:16:01this test image here that i have here we click open and my pc's gone a little slow so that

01:16:10image is after

01:16:11uploading now and now it's asking me to crop the image for each folder because each folder is a different

01:16:16size so you've got the you've got the banner image the grid the call one the two call three call

01:16:22so we

01:16:23need to just crop this for each folder so we'll just click on crop manually uh yeah so that would

01:16:28be

01:16:28the tedious part of uploading images you just need to um crop each one of them so you need to

01:16:34just move

01:16:34the highlighted area um to what to the best position and look for the best position of it highlighted the

01:16:41actual correct dimensions uh yes yeah so this would be the correct dimensions uh for it so you just move

01:16:49that to the best place in the image you click crop and save it saves it moves on to the

01:16:54next one now

01:16:56loads up this image so i think i the image i uploaded is quite a large image so it's a

01:17:00bit slower so you

01:17:01just click crop and save and you just keep you just go through all this until all the until all

01:17:10the

01:17:10images are cropped so you just just like that so and is it only for that folder that they get

01:17:16added to

01:17:16all the other ones like usually if you just select one folder it just goes into that folder yes yeah

01:17:21so

01:17:21it's only for the slide images folder because um it's the largest full it's the largest image there so

01:17:27it makes sense that um do you know if we it makes sense the largest can go into each each

01:17:34uh sorry

01:17:36i'm saying it wrong or badly um so so that image if it's large enough it should be good enough

01:17:41to be

01:17:42cropped into a one call image because it's smaller if that makes sense so yeah if if we put the

01:17:47restriction

01:17:47on the one call 500 by 500 a smaller image wouldn't look great as a slide images folder that if

01:17:54that

01:17:54makes you'll just look pixelated um so the slide images folder is the one with the restriction

01:17:59so if you upload to that folder uh it gets put into every other folder then but again if you

01:18:05do

01:18:05have a smaller image that's not suitable for the slider images um but you know okay it's it's it's

01:18:12it's 700 by 700 that's perfect for the one call and you could use that then uh just by uploading

01:18:17it

01:18:17into the the one call folder there okay if that makes sense so um i won't i won't bother cropping

01:18:25the rest of these because um i doubt you want a picture of a bedroom that's not one of yours

01:18:30inside

01:18:30in the folder somewhere and i'll remove the the one i uploaded later on as well um so uh i

01:18:37suppose is

01:18:38there i suppose i'll go just go through the if you open up these folders as well you've got your

01:18:44the name

01:18:44of the image there so it's carton suite so um what you want to do you want to give them

01:18:49meaningful names

01:18:50uh and not not like uh an image that's nothing but numbers like e5963 image or something because

01:18:57that's no good for you cut to you if you're trying to use it on the site uh you've got

01:19:02the date it was

01:19:03uploaded the type the size um so uh there's a 15 meg limit on images um that goes into the

01:19:11file manager

01:19:12but we we'd recommend going nowhere near that if you can keep it under um 500 kilobytes would be

01:19:19really good but that that one's really large now uh it's a 1.7 meg so uh probably not the

01:19:26best one to

01:19:26have on the site um uh you can also see there's a tick box here a little tick so if

01:19:32there's a tick it

01:19:33means it's been used on one of the pages on the site so uh this one here has been used

01:19:37on the wedding

01:19:38showcase.html page so that's that one there this one's on the wedding showcase page right here so

01:19:44that's handy just in case you are deleting old images um you can see you can delete this one and

01:19:49you can see it's not being used on the site because if you delete one of these and it'll just

01:19:53leave a

01:19:54blank space okay so that's the file manager there emma um oh again if you're uploading a pdf you've also

01:20:04got this docs folder here doc is where your pdfs go okay uh so if you're uploading a pdf you

01:20:11could

01:20:11just go docs here uh you click add files and i'll just use this one here it uploads and it

01:20:21goes in

01:20:21there so if we go into the docs folder there i can try and find it i know it started

01:20:24with p

01:20:25so we scroll sorry how did you switch from the image gallery to the docs folder i can see they're

01:20:30both in file manager um so if you scroll so it's a it's the drop down here so i want

01:20:37to upload it to

01:20:38the docs folder so you can see upload docs is there um for so um slide images is down here

01:20:44in the bottom

01:20:45so for pdfs into the docs folder here just there so you just this drop down here just you get

01:20:51to choose

01:20:51what folder the image goes into um but what we're saying is put it in say nine times out of

01:20:56ten put it

01:20:57so slide images folder and then we'll go into every other folder for you but if you have a pdf

01:21:01you can

01:21:02just click on docs here click add file and uh choose your use your image uh you can also select

01:21:10more

01:21:11than one image at a time so you can uh upload a load of them if you wanted to won't

01:21:17do that now

01:21:18uh so i'll just open up the docs folder here we'll click docs and i will just scroll down i'll

01:21:24just

01:21:24remove that pdf they added so photography tips there um so we can just click delete here

01:21:38and i suppose one last thing with any of these images you can click on any of them and it

01:21:43will

01:21:43open in a new tab for you just in case you need the url for something i'm not sure what

01:21:47you'd need it for

01:21:47but it might be handy to know for the future um i think that's it emma right uh i think

01:21:54we've gone

01:21:54through everything so if you maybe wanna if you're going in having a look you can play around use the

01:21:59search box there and you can play around with the cms training pages there just on the pdf there it's

01:22:05whatever you have it named on your desktop and you upload it that is what the url will read so

01:22:10you're

01:22:11better off your name before uploading it uh yes yeah so you don't want a silly um a silly um

01:22:16file name

01:22:17or or uh name on it because uh that's what will show in the if i click on this afternoon

01:22:24tea 2018

01:22:26you see it comes from the docs folder afternoon tea.pdf so for pdfs uh you might want to um

01:22:33change the

01:22:34name to a meaningful name before uploading that to the site so i think i think that's everything

01:22:43emma we've gone through cloning pages the structure adding which it's mobile file manager and if you
