00:01Edit Site Profile Search tab. The first portion of the search tab refers to general customization.
00:08You can see here there are two tick boxes which would be enabled by default.
00:13The first option is enable tooltips. If we have a look at the front end of the system,
00:19tooltips refer to this message hover over that appears on any given date.
00:25You can see in these examples we're being told the number of rooms remaining,
00:29that this is a total package price and also that there is a minimum of two night stay.
00:35No check-in for instance is also highlighted in this further example where the rate has been closed off for
00:40check-in on the date we're currently viewing.
00:43Going back to the site profile, we can see here if enable tooltips has been selected and we just skip
00:50a section,
00:51you have the option to include what message will appear in those hover over sections.
00:58Price type, per room, per adult for instance.
01:03Occupancy basis, so it will say price based on two adult sharing.
01:07As we saw previously, it's telling us there was a min length of stay of two nights in place,
01:12that it was a total package price, no check-in available as per the earlier example and if there was
01:18a discount in play,
01:20again that can be highlighted in the hover over message.
01:23My suggestion would be as mentioned to leave enable tooltips selected and I would suggest that all of these options
01:31are ticked also.
01:33Group package boxes, this refers to packages that have been created within the Avio system.
01:42Looking at the front end, here is an example of a package that has been created.
01:46It is a rate that has been priced for two nights, inclusive of an evening meal and any additional extras
01:52and the price associated with it is for the overall package, it is not broken down on a nightly basis.
01:58Bear in mind, creating rates on a per package basis can only be managed within the Avio system,
02:06as third parties cannot send in pricing in this manner.
02:10What this tick box refers to group package boxes, however, for these package pricing is when I hover over the
02:20given date,
02:20so bear in mind it's a two night stay, I can see the price here on the check-in date
02:26and the price on the second date is blocked out because the total price I would pay for the two
02:31nights in this instance would be €112.
02:34If that was not enabled, it would also leave the €80 in the second night,
02:40although it would be still priced in the same way, it just doesn't shade out when somebody selects a given
02:45date.
02:49The next option, MDA box preference, we can see here the first one display PA where relevant.
02:57PA refers to per adult, but again, this could be per night, per room and that would mean that in
03:03every given box,
03:04it would have for instance 75 PA, 82 PA and it can look a little bit cluttered.
03:11That messaging will appear in the hover over via ticking this in the tool tip,
03:16so I would suggest that you do leave this unticked by default.
03:22Display currency in box. This is really a preference at hotel level.
03:26To show you an example of both views, you can see in this instance, the euro symbol sits within every
03:33given box.
03:35The alternate view would be to have the euro symbol sitting out here on the left hand side.
03:41If we untick it, I can show you side by side views.
03:50I'm only going to refresh this screen.
03:52So now you can see my euro symbol is sitting to the left of my seven day MDA or multi
03:58-day availability window.
04:00Again, going back to the other view where the symbol sits within the box.
04:05This really is down to you at property level to decide which view you would prefer.
04:17The last option within the MDA box preferences is round prices.
04:22This is something I would recommend that you do select.
04:25This would mean that on any given day, the box would have the price rounded,
04:31but always remember that you get your summary box over here on the right hand side
04:36and you will have your decimal placing in play in the summary window.
04:41So you can see here in any given example, if I'm looking at it on the left hand side, it's
04:46telling us 75 plus 82.
04:48But over here, it's breaking it down with the decimal placing.
04:53If you were to have decimal placing in the box, bear in mind within every seven day window,
04:58again, it just could look that bit cluttered.
05:01But feel free to play around with these, select the options, turn them on and off
05:06and view either scenario on the front end of the system before you come up with your definitive.
05:14Rooms remaining.
05:15This is whereby you set at what point the booking engine starts alerting shoppers
05:22to the number of any given room type remaining.
05:25This is per individual room type.
05:27So in my example, I have said when any given room hits an inventory level of five,
05:33I want you to start displaying on the front end of the system.
05:37Looking at this example, we can see it's telling us only four rooms remaining, only three, only two.
05:43If, for instance, there was six of this particular room type, it just would not display any message.
05:49So again, five would probably be the average, but it's completely dependent on property level
05:55and how many rooms of each individual room type you have at what you would like to set this at.
06:02Search preferences.
06:04You can see there are two options here.
06:07Rate then room and room then rate.
06:10Generally, this would be the first learning model that the Allura recommender engine would,
06:15that Allura would run on your booking engine.
06:19To show you the two views, the first one here is rate then room, whereby you're displaying your rates with
06:25your room types under the rate.
06:27Bear in mind, you have this box at the top of the booking path whereby a guest can always refer
06:32to the alternate view.
06:33So if I click room first, this is where I am displaying rooms with my rates under each of the
06:39given room types.
06:42As I said, Allura learning model will always start with the rate v room versus room v rate order.
06:50That would basically show your visitors alternate views until it comes up with a concrete result for which scenario performs
06:59best for your property.
07:01Generally, the Allura learning models will run for a minimum of 3000 visitors and until they have a concrete results.
07:08But if you have a defined idea about which view you would like to set, you can change us at
07:15any time from within here.
07:18MDA offset, the options here are two days, one day or none.
07:25MDA offset means when I enter any given search date.
07:29So let's search for the 19th.
07:32You can see here on every rate, it gives me two days before the 19th.
07:37So my MDA offset has been set to two, showing me two days before the date I'd actually searched to
07:43stay.
07:43If that MDA offset was set to one, this would be the 19th here and it would show one day
07:50before.
07:51MDA offset set to zero means that the 19th would be the first of your seven windows.
08:00By default, I would recommend setting this to one.
08:05Just to save it here and show you by refreshing the screen, you can see now it's just showing us
08:14one day before the date we had searched to stay.
08:16Again, you can play around with these on your own property and have a look at what view you deem
08:22most suitable.
08:25Default adults.
08:27You can set this to one, two or show all occupants.
08:31The majority of the OTAs tend to set this at two and it may be what shoppers are most familiar
08:37with.
08:37But what it means in any given case, if anyone comes either through the QuickBook or straight onto your booking
08:43engine,
08:44by default, you will always return, if it was set to two, an occupancy and pricing for two adults sharing.
08:53The alternate options as mentioned were one or show all options.
08:58If show all options has been selected, it will show, I'll just return it back to rate order.
09:06It will show the price that each given room type is booked on average for a number of occupants for.
09:15So, for instance, just say you were a very corporate hotel and your double room was actually booked by one
09:22adult more than by two adults.
09:24By selecting all occupants, it would return the price for your double room for one adult,
09:29as that is the average occupancy that is tended to book for your property for that given room type.
09:37If you choose to leave by two adults, you can actually just have the show all occupancy button still appear
09:44in the dropdown by selecting it here.
09:49So you can see all options is still going to appear up here.
09:54Smart ordering.
09:57Smart ordering is based on how your rooms and rates return in the booking path.
10:03We have set this by default to the view that you are currently seeing here.
10:08What I would suggest you do for smart ordering is go to our help desk,
10:13download the comprehensive guide on this and have a read through it in your own time because there's quite a
10:18bit on it to discuss.
10:20But unless you have a very defined and alternate view than we are presenting here to the rate and room
10:27return,
10:27I would suggest you leave this set by default.
10:30But for any given instance, you can pull any of these out over here and choose to order by that
10:38particular scenario first.
10:40So by pulling it over here, I am saying LOS match, which is length of stay, is my primary optimum
10:47return.
10:47There is a debug option that you can select here also.
10:51But as I said, go to the Avio help desk.
10:56Type in smart ordering.
11:01There's guides here how to change what smart ordering is in general,
11:05and it talks you through all of these options in detail.
11:10And that is the search tab within edit site profile.
11:14The images tab allows you to add an image to represent your property where it may appear on a portal
11:22site,
11:23partner selling or the Avio gift card store.
11:27You can choose an image from any of the media galleries linked to your property.
11:32And I would suggest that this be a strong image that will clearly represent the property and offering.
11:39Let's have a look at where this image may appear.
11:43The first example I mentioned was during partner selling.
11:47If your property is linked to a sister hotel,
11:51whereby when there is no availability at the primary hotel searched,
11:55you are going to show up as an alternate option.
11:58The image added in edit site profile is the image that is going to represent your property on this listing.
12:07The next place that image will display would be on a portal website.
12:12If you are a member of a group whereby you are listed on a portal website alongside other properties,
12:21the image added in edit site profile is again the image that will appear here against your property's listing.
12:29The third place you may find that image would be if you were listed on the Avio Hotel gift card
12:35store.
12:36The image over here on the left hand selection is again pulling from that edit site profile tab.
12:43And on the right hand side, you also have images representing your property.
12:49That's why it's very important that the image you add in edit site profile is going to accurately represent your
12:57property
12:58and be enticing enough to catch the eye and draw guests for further viewing.
13:04the next way.
13:07That is why we use the other new property in our Almau Hoteliarco.
