02:54Plenty of stories so far here on Friday in Barcelona,
02:58most of them surrounding the fact that we had a new podium sitter
03:01for the Monaco Grand Prix.
03:03It wasn't Isaac Hadja anymore.
03:05It is Pierre Gasly,
03:06and this is the moment he celebrated as much as he could with his team.
03:12But we spoke, Jacques, earlier on in the weekend about how this decision from the FIA,
03:19and the FIA doesn't admit making mistakes very often,
03:21has opened up a can of worms.
03:23And now it seems like that can of worms might extend to George Russell,
03:27who also got done for speeding in the pit lane,
03:30then didn't serve his penalty correctly.
03:33Before I get your reaction,
03:35should we hear what Toto Wolff has had to say?
03:37Because he was asked about how these changing of the results
03:40might affect him and George Russell's race in Monaco.
03:45Do you see any chance of the result being changed for George,
03:48or is the talk you look with the FIA is more going forward,
03:52what you can do in the future?
03:53Well, I think the talk is definitely going forward,
03:56but we also need to look at,
03:57and I just left when we were on the phone with our lawyers,
04:00to look at what can we do for George.
04:02A drive-through, if it didn't happen at the end,
04:06is equivalent of 20 seconds race time.
04:09What would 20 seconds race time have meant for his result?
04:12Do we think that we realistically have a position,
04:15a chance of reverting the result?
04:18I don't think so.
04:19But we definitely have to give it a go
04:22if we see that there is a millimetre of chance to do so,
04:25and bring him back to whatever it was before we've calculated.
04:31Okay, so what do you think?
04:33A millimetre's chance,
04:35I suppose they've got to look into it.
04:37Well, when you have a penalty after the race,
04:40it's easy to just go back to what it was,
04:42you take away the penalty.

04:48That's not something you can do
04:50because the racing of all the other drivers around him
04:53would have been different as well.
04:54So you can't just suddenly give lap time.
04:56So that's a very tough situation for the FI
04:59because ultimately drivers who have paid the penalty of the track
05:02cannot get it back,
05:03but they're in the same situation.
05:05So having given the podium to Gasly
05:07puts them in a lot of trouble.
05:09Okay, so is this more,
05:10if the Mercedes lawyers are getting involved,
05:13is this more maybe them
05:15wanting to have something,
05:17Mercedes to have something in their pocket
05:18that they might be able to use
05:20as potential leverage for anything else?
05:22We've seen that work in the past,
05:24so maybe it shouldn't,
05:26but yeah, it adds some weight.
05:28And, you know, over the course of a year,
05:30what comes around goes around.
05:31Things normally rebalance.

05:34Let's talk about some of the other stories that are going on.
05:37In fact, should we have a look at the standings
05:39because it is quite interesting
05:40how the championship standings have changed
05:43in terms of putting Pierre Gasly up there.
05:47Kimi Antonelli,
05:48nothing was ever going to affect his race.
05:50Lewis Hamilton, funnily enough,
05:52also had a speeding penalty,
05:55but it didn't affect his race.
05:56Charles Leclerc might feel hard done by,
05:59but in the end, we'll get onto it,
06:00something else affected his race.
06:02But if you have a look there,
06:04Pierre Gasly actually makes it above Isaac Hadjar
06:06in the standings
06:07with the nine extra points that he got
06:09by getting that podium place back,
06:12that third place back in Monaco.
06:15So these are the adjusted points
06:18after that decision we had early on.
06:21I noticed there,
06:22Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad,
06:24they actually go down
06:26because Gasly's place has been reinstated.
06:29So as you say, Jacques,
06:30it does have an effect with absolutely everybody.
06:33But let's get onto Ferrari, shall we now?
06:36Lewis Hamilton stays second
06:37in the Drivers' Championship
06:39after that result.
06:41And Charles Leclerc, we believe,
06:42has had to change or has changed
06:44his brake disc material after Monaco.
06:47So let's hear from them,
06:48first on Hamilton,
06:49about whether he thinks
06:50he might be able to keep his P2
06:54in the Drivers' Championship
06:55and even challenge Kimi Antonelli
06:57for the lead.
07:00We can still outdo people
07:02in terms of how we develop the car.
07:04Our car is very good.
07:07The downforce package that we have is really good.
07:09We're going to have to double up
07:10and make sure that we're always
07:11one step ahead of everyone
07:12in terms of advancing that

07:33and keep it absolutely everything.
07:35Surely the last two weekends
07:36have been very tough for me.
07:38And yeah,
07:39and overall,
07:40I think going forward
07:41we'll change slightly
07:42the configuration
07:43of how we run our brakes.
07:46Then to go more into the detail
07:48is tricky for me.
07:49But so I'll stop there.
